इंटिमेट ..

माणसाचा मूळ स्वभाव, त्याचा मनात दडलेल्या वाईट भावना, मत्सर, द्वेष ह्यांवरून एखाद्याला "JUDGE" करण्यापेक्षा मन मोठ करून त्यानां समजून घेणं आणि तेच सगळं अगदी सध्या शैलीत मांडणं हेच वपूचं मुख्य कौशल्य आहे . नेहमी आपण जे "DESERVE" करतो ते दुसर्यांना मिळत ह्याचा जे शल्य मनाला बोचत असते ते दूर करणारी कथा असो किंवा काहीही अपेक्षा न ठेवता दुसरीची मदत केल्यावर मिळणाऱ्या सुखाबद्दलची "केंव्हाही बोलवा" हि कथा असो .. इंटिमेट मधल्या सगळ्या कथा आपल्याला आपल्या जीवन जगण्याच्या पद्धतचा विचार करायला भाग पाडतात.

वपुंचा आयुष्याकडे पाहण्याचा हा उदार, दिलदार आणि प्रसन्न द्रीष्टीकोनच त्यांची सगळ्यात मोठी संपत्ती आहे हे आपल्यला जाणवत ते ह्या पुस्तकातून.. ह्याच संपत्तीचा आपण उपभोग घ्यायलाच हवा..

ह्या पुस्तकांत मला आवडलेली काही उतारे..

"स्नेह वाढवण्यासाठी तुम्ही आम्हाला आम्हाला घरी बोलावणार.तेच आमचा पथ्य आहे. अटचमेंट पासून आम्हाला लांब राहायचा आहे. जिव्हाळा, प्रेम ह्या गोष्टी निर्माण झाल्या, की अपेक्षा आल्या; तुलना आली , देवाण घेवाण हा हिशोबही आला. मग ह्यांनी काय दिल, त्यांनी काय हि अटळ चर्चा.. आणि हे सुरु झाल एकदा, की सोशल वर्क संपल." 3.5 stars for this book. Va pu tries to describe socio psycho analysis of people. How they behave in a particular way. This book shows his keen observation. His style of Writing is always entertaining with dose of very good philosophy. His point of view is vast. This book should be picked in such a mood, when one feels to find solace in reading. This book teaches us, about different people, their way of life. We can connect it with today's lifestyle if we can imagine in that way. Anyways, lets get back to topic, read if you like va pu style or just read for the stories, they all are good.

His stories are always simple & relates to any common person & his/her problems. Anyone can thus easily relate to these stories. Few of them tries to teach you some lessons/philosophy out of it, some of them just entertain you. Finally, its important that they dont just mean to entertain you, but makes you think about & explore yourself as a person.

He has such skills as an author that he will immerse you in his storytelling and suddenly gives you deep insight about real life and daily living. You learn to live life better through his experiences. That’s what I think important about his writings.
