Return to The Superhero's Son universe ...

As the children of an infamous supervillain, Bait and Switch find themselves ostracized and isolated from their peers in the superhero school they attend. Even many of their teachers distrust them on the basis of their parentage.

Switch wants to leave the Academy and break their supervillain mother out of prison, while Bait sees the Academy as their best chance at rising above their mother's legacy and become superheroes themselves. The two fight over these differences of opinions more often than they fight supervillains, but when their long-lost supervillain father returns with sinister plans for the twins, Bait and Switch must put aside their differences to defeat him.

If they can't, then not only will they fail to get what they want, but their world will be destroyed.

Another hit for Flimt

I have read a number of books by this author and he never seems to disappoint. Nice plot and excellent character development.

First in a YA series about superheroes.

Bait and Switch are twins. Their mother is the infamous supervillain Electrica, who has recently been captured and jailed in Ultimate Max, the high security prison for superpowered criminals. The twins, being underage, have been forced to join a superhero school, where they find themselves ostracized because of their parentage. Switch wants to escape and help their mother escape, while her brother wants to give up the life of crime they had with their mother and become a superhero. Then, their long-lost father shows up.

This was a quick and enjoyable read for me. Flint is not a great stylist. The writing is just OK, but it has a good pace, entertaining character conflict, plenty of action and nice superhero universe worldbuilding. I would recommend it to any reader who likes both superheroes and YA fiction.
