Wow, can it get any better? Tess and Matt have come to the end of the journey and learned the truth about the grounders. Didn’t want this series to ever end, I enjoyed it so much.

This book is fantastic! I rarely enjoy the third book of a trilogy more than the previous books, but this one definitely exceeds expectations. After blundering through most of the battles in the first two books, Tess and Matt have finally learned the truth about the grounders, as well as the truth about themselves. In this book, they have a chance to regroup and actually plan their final battle instead of going in before they know what to expect. Sure, there's still quite a bit of risk, and there are surprises along the way, but their determination and purpose have solidified.

Once again, the entire tale was told from Tess' point of view. We see the world through her eyes, and we share her concerns. In this action packed race to defeat the aliens, who can she trust? Matt, who has accompanied her through everything, but kept secrets from her? Or her friends, who she's always known, but who have been living on Mars and have see and experienced things that have changed them? Who will become her allies once they learn the truth about the grounders and the war they have secretly been waging? All the loose ends will be wrapped up in this ultimate conclusion to a wonderful trilogy.

I volunteered to review an ARC of this novel.

After what was revealed to them, Tess was shaken up and no longer sure who she was or her true origins. Who can she trust anymore? Even Matt had lied to her and she was angry. They have discovered the truth about the Grounders and their plans for humanity. The Great Council has been manipulating everyone and must be taken down. And there are so many more discoveries and secrets all around that could affect the outcome for everyone. Now they have a decision to make. Can they win this war once and for all?

This Homeworld Trilogy is a wild ride that will keep the reader breathless. Twists and turns abound, secrets finally being revealed. Get your copy and catch up on adventure! The story is well written and will hold your attention from start to finish!

Final confrontation is neigh. Incredible thrills and inventive, twists and turns right up to the end. This trilogy definitely went out with the bang it deserved and I’m one happy cheering bystander. A truly fun read and highly recommended.

I loved the conclusion to the Homeworld Trilogy! Holly Hook was able to keep this fast-paced, entertaining story going through to the very end. Tess is such an interesting character to follow through these books, and even though there were some revealing secrets that seemed impossible to come back from, she kept going strong. I recommend this series and author!

This was a pretty good addition to the series, and as good as the previous books. There were some things that I didn't like about what happened, but overall the book was pretty good, and kept me reading until the end. The plot flowed nicely, and it was interesting. I was gifted a copy.

This was quite the ending! I sort of lost interest in this book after a certain health issue left me unable to read all of a sudden, beginning right while I was reading this very book. I couldn’t read for months. Afterwards, when I was finally well enough to -very, very slowly- read again, I had linked that issue or rather, the pain that came with it so I wasn’t quite happy to dive in this book again. Which is entirely personal and not in any way the author’s fault so that doesn’t ffect the stars given, of course.
So anyway, I was planning on leaving this as a did-not-finish but curiosity won in the end and I thought about just skimming through until the end so I got my curiosity fed.

But Holly’s way of writing (which reads so effortlessly and relaxed) and the storyline itself engulfed my whole being once more so I’m so glad I picked it up again! I quickly went back to read those few skimmed pages because I didn’t want to have missed a single thing. I love the challenges Tess and the others have to overcome and their determintion to save the world is motivating.
The way it’s written seems plausible enough, it’s not such a far stretch to imagine these events taking place.
And okay, I have mentioned this in the review of book 1 or 2 but I don’t know the original story so I can’t really say if this is unique or not but to me, this take on War of the Worlds feels like an original take on the Classic. And I will keep this next part especially vage because I don’t want to spoiler anything but the solution or ending to the whole invasion thing, it’s just genius. So it’s a great ending and leaves you closing this book quite satisfied. At least, that’s how I felt when I finished this book.
