Ghosting

Jack Taylor swears the woman he’s met in TimeLand, the online game he created, is his deceased wife, Molly. His business partner thinks he’s insane, and the police consider him their prime suspect in Molly’s murder. What follows is a tale that questions the boundaries of technology and invites readers to wonder what awaits us in the afterlife and whether true love will meet us there.

Eleven months after Molly Taylor’s questionable death, her husband, Jack, discovers numerous unauthorized people playing in the online game he created. When he enters the game as a player to find out how they are doing it, he meets someone who, incredibly, reminds him of Molly. Nothing anyone can say will dissuade him from believing that somehow, someway, Molly is living in his online digital world.

Molly isn’t the only one who has found their way into Jack’s game, however, and when he tries to remove them, the supernatural and real world collide in a most unexpected way.

Ghosting is a rapid-fire mystery-thriller; a mind-bending ride, where the digital and real world collides.

Amazing

An amazingly delicious book about love and life. It is surprising and funny, sad and poignant. I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I am so glad that I read it! I couldn’t put it down I finished it in2-3 hours. So special with fascinating characters. I have always been able to figure out the endings in books but it took me more than half the book to get to even an inkling of the final truth before the light bulb began to blink. It was an ‘AHA’ moment in time. Thank you for giving me a break in my humdrum life, I won’t forget this very soon if ever.

An entertaining story

This book was referred by a friend whose opinion I value, and was surprisingly informative and entertaining. From the love story to the high tech insights to the supernatural and all the drama leading to the final page's fulfilling ending, it was a fun read.

So Not What I Was Expecting.... But Really Good.
The concept is quite far fetched, although it may not be as far from reality as some of us may want it to be. Being a mum and a sister to committed gamers I found it quite easy to get into the swing of majority of the story being carried out in a cyber world, I can see how it may not be for everyone though as it does require an open mind.
The characters were great and worked really well with the story. As the plot came together the personalities held it all together perfectly. I do feel that there is may be room to continue the story and one or two of the characters as there was not much in the way of closure??
Overall a great speed read that did a great job of bridging my Between Book needs.
Thanks Dan, I look forward to reading more from you soon.

Great story

This was a great story. I absolutely enjoyed it from beginning to end. A little bit of paranormal, murder, mystery and some nerd business. Now I need to find more books by Rogers!

I’m a fan of ghost stories and Ghosting is one, with a twist. The twist is the “techno” in techno-thriller and done very well. A good ghost story, a good thriller, and an overall enjoyable read. I found the topic creative and the story engaging. The author’s writing painted a picture of the scene and detailed characters that pulled me in and kept me turning the pages.

Overall a good read that I can recommend to those looking for a different take on the ghost story. Ghosting was interesting, fun to read, and well done.

Interesting and entertaining story.
Fast paced with witty dialogue.

I thought the combination of techie gaming stuff (you can probably tell by my wording that I'm not terribly savvy with that sort of thing) with the love story worked beautifully. There was a lot of heart in the story along with some questions about the nature of reality and the afterlife that made this thought-provoking as well as a fun read.

Ghost story....

With a twist. It's now a modern day ghost story and you don't even have to be a gamer to enjoy it. It has action, mystery, love and a unique twist to a regular ghost story. Loved it and I will read more by this author. Read it. It Will pull you in. Very very good book.

Awful l

Got up to 40% and gave up. Not ghostly, not funny, you are caught in a virtual video game. What a waste of time!

I'm a huge gamer and reader. It was not good. I couldn't even get halfway through and had to stop reading it.

Interesting concept for a book, at first couldn't stop reading, total page turner. As the story evolved the less interested I became, just meh.

It was Good

Good read but I wish the ending was different. I knew who did it before the book got to it, but all in all it held my interest and I read it in its entirety.

I enjoyed the journey this book took me on. Having lived in Boulder myself, it was fun going through the world of Boulderado.
Hoping a follow up will be written! Please say yes!

A friend of mine recommended this book (her uncle is the author). It was free, so I figured I would give it a shot. Upon reading the description, I was skeptical. A book with a plot revolving around the gaming world? So.not.my.thing.

But I was surprised... the authors richly drawn characters and vibrant descriptions of the setting quickly pulled me in and I found I couldn't set it down. The plot is twisty, intriguing and nail biting with a bit of romance and just enough of a ghost story for me to not be totally afraid to turn out the lights (okay, maybe just a little scared).

I don't give a great many books 5 stars, but I really enjoyed this one so much. It would make a great movie (or television series) for sure.
