2 Men 1 Woman 1 Annual Tropical Paradise 6 Thanksgiving holidays, one per year A Pinch of Betrayal A Twist of Overbearing Characters Season with Hope, to taste
Mix well, 1 man and the woman. Add second man, but keep separate. Sprinkle all three with Tropical Paradise and first Thanksgiving holiday. The single man may seem sour, but don’t give up. Add each additional Thanksgiving holiday, one year at a time. You will start to see some maturing, and eyes beginning to open, which means it’s time to add a pinch of Betrayal, and stir the pot. Next, add a little Hope, grease the story with a little alcohol, a pinch of scuba, and garnish with a twist of overbearing sub-characters. Obsessions are optional.
Redwood: Are you ready for the zombie apocalypse, and a good angsty love story?
Jungle: The Whispering Ruins, is a YA paranormal, action and adventure, kind of sword and sorcery story.
Wet was supposed to be a quick, hammer it out story so I could get back to Jungle II, but it turned into a gut-wrenching, 3 part saga. It's a great beach/vacation read, or if you need a vacation but can't get away.
People are saying they didn't expect all the twists and turns in Poppy's Anthem. Nor the car chases, exploding helicopters ... not your typical rockstar romance.
Feast is a quick feel-good holiday novella about growing up, relationships, and learning to trust your heart.
Peace in the Storm is #16 in a 22 book anthology, The Peace Series. I dedicated this sweet Cowboy romance to my bull-riding brother and love how it turned out.
I found this book Christmas Eve and read it on one sitting. It's an easy read, but also it is a page turner. It was perfect read for the holidays but it's not really very holidayish so I think you could read it anytime and enjoy it. I've read this author before and really enjoyed it, but I'd forgotten about her until I saw this book. I see she has a couple more books out now that I need to catch up on.
From the piece at the back, I almost expected a threesome story but I was wrong. As in other Rivera books, she has a way of making it sexy without being raunchy, incase your not really into over the top sex like me.
I loved seeing how these people's perceptions changed over time. It happens over a six year time period and a lot happens over the years. Mack needs to get over his heartbreak and Jenna deserves better than her husband. I started to worry there would be adultery which is a big turn off for me, but it wasn't. I would have been surprised to see that from this author. She seems to be more tasteful than that.
This story reminds of the saying, you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince. That is true in Jenna's case in this story, or at least one frog a lot of times. I hated her husband.
I thought this was an awesome story! I don't usually read romances, but this author doesn't write typical romances. She brings so much more to her stories. This is a great story that takes place over several years. Hunky Dr. Mack falls for another man's wife. The wife is very young, beautiful, and naive. Family issues and medical issues are brought up that make this story very interesting. I would recommend this story for anyone who likes romance with a lot of depth!
This was inexpensive and I was in the mood for a holiday read. I'd read this author before, too, and trusted that it would be pretty good. It was. A lot of lessons in the pages, things to ponder about who we end up with and why.
