Be Mine for Christmas by Sheryl Lister
After her dream Christmas wedding is canceled, Maya Brooks aims to revive her spirits with a little holiday fling. Ian Jeffries finds the gorgeous bakery owner as luscious as her desserts—and wants more of both. But Maya's trust is shattered when she discovers that Ian's real-estate firm is trying to buy out her shop. Can he prove his passion isn't a ruse and that her love's the only gift he will need forever?
Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.
That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
The first story by Nana Malone waa cute and sweet. Jamie got on my nerves though.. The second story in the book by Sheryl Lister was the sizzler. I love the chemistry between Ian and Maya. Would I recommend this one? Most definitely!!!!
Two amazing short stories by two wonderful authors. In Hot Coded Christmas by Nina rivals Jamie and Cole have to break the code before it all lost in the snow. The key to the learn is not in the code but in communication. As they communicate it leaves one to wonder will the code ever work.
Sheryl Lister title said it all "Be Mine For Christmas, which is what we all want someone special to spend the holidays with.
Unwrapping The Holidays, Great short novellas by Nana Malone who has been around for awhile but this is my first time reading one of her books and Sheryl Lister of who I have the pleasure of reading all of books. Nana Malone "Hot Coded Christmas", computer geek game developer CEO Jamie Reed's company Cyberpunked is in the process of being bought out and under no circumstances is Jamie ready to let go. Jamie goes away over the Christmas holidays to continue to develop her computer game and get the bugs out to get it ready for use. She gets to her destination to find out that even though she made reservations that there are no runs available. She runs into her brother's best friend Tech Billionaire Cole Nichols who is the owner of the hotel where she had reservations and he himself came for the holidays of who she has had a crush on. This a must read and I will most definitely purchase other books by Nana Malone. Sheryl Lister "Be Mine For Christmas", Bakery owner Maya Brooks fiance cancelled her wedding and she is putting her all into her Bakery business. As Maya is getting her life back together after canceled wedding she learns that someone is trying to back of the property on which her bakery stands. In walks architect builder Ian Jeffries who is one of the people responsible for the buy out. Neither who each are and soon develop a relationships. Sparks fly, feelings are hurt. Great Christmas novella. Loved both stories and if you have not read any of Nana or Sheryl's books they are must reads.
I never read a book by Nana Malone, so it was a good introduction to her writing style and plot development techniques via the holiday collaboration.
First off Cole is sexy not just because of his physical but his mental. I quite appreciated the interaction between him and Jamison. While Jamison preferred to be called Jamie, the history of Cole and Jamie was just as sweet as can be. Christmas is my favorite holiday so I was here for Jamie and her ugly sweater. I think her creativity was remarkable. I loved that this story centered around technology. More specifically gaming. I think those elements of gaming and love would allow men and women to enjoy this sweet romance. Nana great job, I look forward to reading future works.
Sheryl Lister, has done it again. Most novellas I can take or leave but Sheryl had me with the chocolate. Ian and Maya were the perfect match. When the spark hits you, there is nothing one could do. The elements of surprise continued throughout Ian and Maya's relationship. I tell you one thing, a man that can bring you snow so that you have your perfect Christmas is a keeper. You'll enjoy this story as it has one passionate company. Ian is a wonderful architect and Maya is a wonderful pastry chef together they are the quintessential couple. Where passion truly collides.
This review is from: Unwrapping the Holidays: Hot Coded Christmas\Be Mine for Christmas (Kimani Romance) (Kindle Edition) Unwrapping The Holiday was a nice story. Jamison Reed owned small struggling game developing technology company. She had recently had her heart broken and her business raided by her business partner and ex. Jamie was left with a shell of her company and to pick up the pieces while working to keep her business afloat. Cole Nichols had a successful technology empire and he wanted Jamie's company, Cyberpunked.. Cool name by the way. Cole had made several attempts to buy her company, yet Jamie turned down each offer. Over the holiday break Jamie decided to take a trip outside of the city to develop a great new game that would keep her company afloat. Cole had the same idea and had taken a room at one of his cabins in the same location as Jamie. When Jamie arrived her room was taken, with a mix up with her reservation. Long story short-- Cole offered to let Jamie stay in his room. Over the course of their stay Cole and Jamie hit it off and found they were they enemy of sorts. They were able to resolve their issues and had a nice little HEA.. Comment | Permalink
This book unwraps two stories of romance and holiday. The first by Nana Malone, Hot Coded Christmas, is about Jamie, desperate to keep her company. The company is in danger because of her poor choice in a man. She has a chance to save it by completing her new software game on time. Her favorite holiday time is going to be shared with some really hard work.
Cole, on the other hand, hates the holidays and plans nothing more than getting what he wants. A certain small gaming company. So far the owner has said no and no one tells him no, anymore. Some circumstances put these two together—remembering but refusing to discuss that one time that one kiss.
The two grew up competing in everything, him the buddy of her big brother. Now they still have that competitive spirit and the chemistry. How will they manage the enforced time together, Christmas, and business differences? Not to mention, that chemistry.
Can they find themselves and get past the competition? A fun romance, with two stubborn people who have a past that needs completion. This has fun characters, is a quick read by an author that never disappoints.
My review is for Hot Coded Christmas. I really enjoyed this quick, steamy read from Nana Malone. I loved the fact that the heroine was a coding genius and a little geeky. She was spending her Christmas holed up at a resort trying to save her company when she comes across her high school crush. An overbooked hotel later and these two find themselves in close quarters for the holiday. The chemistry was instant between these two as they both discovered that the spark lit when they were kids only burned brighter. The hero was a self assured alpha used to getting his way especially when it came to business but he found that she wasn't going to let him have his way. I liked the plot twist in the story and the subtle themes of redemption, healing, and finding love. All in all a very enjoyable holiday read that I think folks would enjoy.
Love, love, love both of these! I’m already familiar with Nana’s books so I knew she would bring it and when I finished her story and began Sheryl’s I was thinking now this author is new to me but I’m still optimistic. BOTH of these are 5 star reads!!! Cole & Ian are both sexy, rich, intelligent, somewhat cocky & very determined to have their woman by any means necessary. Jamie & Maya are both self-employed with an issue hanging over their businesses but still have a joy for Christmas. Their stories though, completely unrelated & stand alone, have the right amount of drama without overkill, with very realistic characters.
These two authors have definitely done an excellent job writing these Christmas stories and reminding us that LOVE is the best Christmas gift of all!
In Hot Coded Christmas we have a sweet romance between business rivals. The chemistry and sexual tension between Jamie and Nicholas is hot. I loved the secluded wonderland storyline. I look forward to reading more of Nana Malone’s work.
Be Mine For Christmas By: Sheryl Lister
I really enjoyed reading about a second chance romance and I love it even better when it's a holiday romance. The spontaneous attraction between Maya and Ian is explosive until Maya finds out that Ian’s real state firm is trying to buy her bakery. The storyline is believable and the fast pace novella is well written. Kudos to you Sheryl Lister for writing such a Beautiful Christmas Story About Healing!!!

This is a review on Be Mine for Christmas - Sheryl Lister.
Love Ian & Maya's journey. Maya is a bakery owner and is working a business function when Ian walks up and tastes one of her chocolate creations. To say he was attracted to Maya from first sight is an understatement. The two explore the attraction but Maya is still leery of trusting Ian and he is not ready to settle down, but something about the holidays has these two wanting more, but events occur and that fragile trust is about to be tested. Will Maya learn to trust again and give Ian a chance.....download a copy and find out.
This was a good quick Christmas story and Ms. Lister did a great job writing the story.
This is a review for Sheryl Lister's story Be Mine for Christmas. I was given an advanced copy of the story for my honest review. I have to say that after reading the story, I still purchased the book for my stash. The chemistry between Ian and Maya was blazing. From their first meeting until the end of the story, the chemistry jumped off the pages. Ian helped Maya to get over a heartbreaking situation and Maya helped Ian to find love. This story turned out to be my favorite Christmas story that I have read. Good job as always Sheryl Lister!!!
I really enjoyed this Christmas read it put me in the mood for the holidays. Jamie and Cole have known each other for a long time. Cole was friends with Jamie's brother Matt so he looked out for her too. But one night and one kiss changed things. Now some years later she's at his hotel and she needs a room. He offers her a room in his suite. Old feelings return and they both realize that they want more. Jamie is able to one Cole heart to Christmas and Cole is able to save Jamie if she'll let him. But will love rule you need to read and see.
Hot Coded Christmas is the 1st book I read by Nana Malone. I loved the story line. I loved the chemistry. I loved Jamie & Cole's characters. I felt sorry for Cole. I loved the ending. This story definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit. Be Mine For Christmas: I loved the story line. I loved the chemistry. I loved the hot & steamy scenes. I loved the treats in the story, they sounded delicious. I loved Maya & Ian's characters. I loved the ending. Awesome job ladies.
Oddly enough I did not think I would like this book. Being a nerd, I thought it would be the typical nerdy holiday book...boy was I wrong. Although the book was short it was AMAZING!! I enjoyed the book from beginning to end. The pace was great after a slow start but then it grabbed me by the eyeballs and wouldn't let go. Perfect for a short read to fill some extra time during the holidays!
Ian and Maya are both reluctant to start a romance. Ian is concentrating on moving up in the family business and Maya is getting over a cancelled marriage! They meet at a function and their journey to love and a future is both heartwarming and sweet! #CillasBookManiacs
This story brings to mind I can bring home the bacon fry it up in a pan and never ever let you forget your my man. You may have my heart but you can't have what I built to make me the business woman that I am.
Okay, these are two great books that shows that loves comes along when you least expect and sometimes you just may be caught off guard from a past experience.
Cole and Jamie have known each other since high school and competed on a regular basis when it came to anything academically. Cole experienced a dreadful time in his life where nothing and no one mattered except his solitude. Jamie suffered a devastating betrayal and her trust has vanished. Jamie has always had a crush on Cole but was afraid the feelings were not mutual. Fast forward a few years and Cole and Jamie have reunited but under strange circumstances. Will they be able to put the past behind them and move forward or will pride and stubbornness continually reign? [Nana]
Ian and Maya are two wounded individuals looking for a night of fun. The unexpected happens and they fall for each other. Ian is an architect and Maya is a baker. Ian has been working on this plan to really show his labor of love come to life and boost his career. Maya is facing possible foreclosure. Will their love be strong enough to withstand their trials? Will Ian ignore his heart and go after his dreams? Will Maya be able to ward off her feelings for Ian due to his potential deception? [Sheryl]
This will make for a great read during the holiday season. These authors have created pure masterpieces.
Sheryl Lister’s Be Mine is a cute holiday novella and a must read for holiday romance fans. Architect Ian Jefferies observes pastry chef Maya Brooks and immediately wants to taste more than her decedent desserts. Ian and Maya are adorable characters. Having had their share of bad relationships, neither is looking for a commitment and both are open to a no-strings attached holiday affair. They are blinded by the moment and don’t realize this temporary fling breaks all their relationship rules. When redevelopment threatens her pastry business, a series of surprising events occur that test the endurance of Ian and Maya’s fling and result is one of the sweetest endings (pun intended) I have experience in a while. I recommend Be Mine for your holiday reading. It’s a quick read and will definitely add oohs and ahhhs to your holiday!
Two in one - Hot Coded Christmas (Nana Malone) - CEO Jamie Reed loves the holidays, but she'll be working on a new game to save her company. Cole Nichols is a tech billionaire who unknowingly wants to acquire Jamie's company. I love Cole's attitude and approach to business. Jamie is so focused in succeeding that she doesn't realize that she's burned out from trying to do everything. Be Mine for Christmas (Sheryl Lister) Maya has just had her heart broken by her fiancee. Ian meets her at an affair she is catering and knows that he wants her. A one night affair turns in something more until Maya's trust is shattered - Ian's real estate firm is trying to buy out her bakery shop. The thing is they've fallen in love. I love these two together. They are both focused and dedicated, they belong together. You have a winner Sheryl.

This was a good quick Christmas story and Ms. Lister did a great job writing the story.
This was a pretty quick read, but it was fun, witty, and sexy. Cole and Jamie had great chemistry, just the right level of sexual tension, and they really liked each other.
They also had a past that they needed to acknowledge and work through. That was their major difficulty. I also enjoyed the brief moment with Mia and Ryan.
I also liked Jamie's determination to fight for her company. initially, it seemed like she and Cole could not hear what they were trying to say to each other. But, in the tradition of a great Christmas story, they ended up with their HEA.
Jamieson, a coding geek who owns her own company Cyberpunked. She is desperately working on coding for her next game release in an effort to safe her company and her employees’ jobs. Cole a millionaire of a company named Teched. He is nursing a possible broke heart that can be more accurately depicted as a bruised ego. His company has been trying to acquire a gaming company for some time. Cole has been actively pursing said company for a year. Over the Christmas holidays the two run into each at his family owned lodge. Not only to the have history and chemistry for each other but they also discover they are corporate frienemies or so it appeared.
This book was interesting. The characters were believable. The story itself was romantic and sweet. There were some sex scenes throughout this book but they weren't graphic or straight erotic. I always appreciate this in romance novels. It was a great romance for the holidays. The book did make me want some chocolate after reading it though. I enjoyed that the writing was consistent and I was able to go back and forth between what the main characters (Maya and Ian) were thinking. Overall the characters each had their own obstacles to overcome.
Although it was short and a quick read, I enjoyed it. The chemistry between the characters was spot on and the story well developed. Both Cole and Jamison will touch your heart and you'll want to root for them to have happy ever after! This is a perfect book for the Christmas holiday season. Pick up your copy today.
Jingle all the way! Both novellas score high in Christmas glee. I felt Jamie's pain in regards to her company and felt her attraction to Cole. Their struggles are real. Maya's desserts played a fun role and Ian never had a chance. When her trust is shattered, you'll feel their pain and hopelessness. Hang in there. Christmas is wonderful and so are HEAs. ~ Kim
I am voluntarily reviewing this arc the two books in this arc were very romantic. I loved both books they complemented each other. You won't be disappointed
