Sweet, but with feet on the ground.

The mail order bride genre is often too optimistic. This tale included the plausible A good balance of reality mixed into the fantasy romance.

E-Reader. Mail Order Brides

Annie Hastings goes to see Miss Hazel Hughes to marry a Mountie.  She had no choice as her father was sent to prison, so she & her sister went their separate ways.

What she didn't know the Mounties were coming to Miss Hughes home to meet their bride in a few days.

She agreed to marry Commander Malcolm Wilson.  Take a train to Cochrane & a bob sled to the cabin in Reindeer Rock.  It's colder & they get a lot of snow & blizzards.

Once there they both feel more comfortable with each.  Plus the other three Mounties live close by in cabins with new wives.

There is so more to this story.  So many more characters, danger & a very different life style for Annie.

Will they fall in love?

You need to read this book!  Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Another great story in this series. Annie finally came to see Miss Hazel to marry a mountie. After her father was finally caught she could breath and make a better life for herself.

Malcolm one of the 4 mounties that were coming to see Miss Hazel before they continued on their journey was not too thrilled on finding a wife. He didn't care for the first two he met but when he saw Annie he knew she was the one.

He didn't mind the scare on Annies lip and he was going to prove to her how much he did love her. But when the past comes back will Malcom still love Annie?

The characters were great and I loved reading about Annie and Lilly. I love Finnegan and how he protects like the other animals in the series.

Malcolm and Annie's story

I loved how the characters were developed, very believable which helped me to get hopelessly lost in their story. Mounties had a rough life, and I love these fictional stories that bring these great men to life. Mail order brides have been so vital to taming the west and far north.
The plot development is wonderful, I can shut my eyes and picture it all. I also like that the author has used something that many would deem undesirable and turn it into blessing. Real life situations bring these characters great depth. Thank you for a great read.

I like the message this book conveys about not judging someone by their looks. It is a powerful message and is seen through both Annie and Lily.

Malcolm doesn't think he needs a bride until he meets Annie. They travel to Malcolm's posting together both holding secrets about their family. As the secrets come out, connections are made to other members of the community. When a little girl from the area goes missing, those secrets and connections come to light revealing the true emotions Malcom and Annie have for one another.

Sweet little tale in the Maill Order Mounties series!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Malcolm and his men a are headed for a new outpost. Thanks to Miss Hazel's efforts, they are taking new wives with them. Annie thought her scar would prevent her from ever having a family of her own. Could the daughter of a known criminal and a Mountie determined to find some kind of restitution for his sister's death at the hands of her criminal husband find their way to each other?

Nice Story!

This is actually the 15th book in the series since the original setting had 5 books but started numbering the series at zero. This group of 4 stories is set in Reindeer Rock and this story involves Malcolm, the commander and Annie a character from an earlier book with Nathaniel and Claire. Each setting in this series has a wild animal nearby. The animal in Reindeer Rock is Finnegan the Fox. This is a very enjoyable story.

Great story...

I enjoyed this story. I have read all the other mail order brides for Mounties. I didn't realize that they were written by different authors. They make a night of enjoyment for a 78 year old man. Thank you lovely woman for your efforts. Please keep sending me notice when a new one is available.

A Wonderful Book

If you like mail-order brides you will love the Mail Order Mounties Books. They are so wonderful. Annie had a lot of things going against her as a child and she rose to learn how to deal with them. Malcolm was a perfect fit for her and their strength together is wonderful to see. A must read, in my opinion.

Sweet Story

Another beautifully done sweet Bounty book. Great characters and development of the topic. I helps if you've been following the series, as this book reintroduces a character from the Alberta book "A Bride for Nathaniel" . I love the inclusion of Finnegan and connect on between Annie and Lily. Fun read.

Malcolm

We all have insecurities but Annie's were she didn't know how beautiful she was inside and out. Loving Malcolm slowly showed her. As with every book in the Mounties series this is exceptional good. It has everything a good romance should have and the drama to boot.

Was a great book. Annie was self conscious about her mouth, because of the way her father treated her. Annie goes to see Miss Hazel about becoming a mounties wife.

Good story for a rainy afternoon

Lovely story, but what happened with Lily?? It is a cliffhanger with no resolution. I really wish you gave an epilogue about if she had her surgery.
