Pisze książki dla dzieci, ponieważ uważa, że wszystko zaczyna się właśnie od dzieci. Mieszka z żoną w Warszawie i ma okna z widokiem na drzewa. Snuł już historie o marzeniach (Wielkie marzenia), o jamniku (Anastazy), o pannie mrówce (Mrówka wychodzi za mąż), o trudnych pytaniach (Czy można dotknąć tęczy?) i o wesołej krówce (Lukrecja). A ponieważ głowę ma zawsze pełną nowych pomysłów, już niedługo pojawią się nowe!"

I must admit that this picture book is just cute (although I don’t like this word, I cannot otherwise express my enthusiasm). “Proszę mnię przytulić” (Hug me, please!) focuses on the issue of equality, presents that we are all the same and have the right to show our feelings openly. The plot seems to be simple, but in fact conveys a very important message about the tolerance and empathy. The illustrations are very detailed and correspond to the text (still, I think that they would be understandable even without the text). All in all I think that “Proszę mnie przytulić” can be a good resource for teachers to talk in the classroom about equality.

Pomerne jednoduchá myšlienka, ako sa otec so synom vyberú objímať zvieratká do lesa je vyšperkovaná najmä ilustráciou. Tváre zvieratiek, keď sa na ne vrhne medveď sú naozaj autentické. :D

It's a father and son hug-a-thon, as two bears travel the forest hugging friends and neighbors. It's an interesting counterpoint to today's social distancing world.

Nádherne ilustrovaná kniha o láske nielen medzi rodičmi a deťmi, no i k druhým ľuďom. Hlavné postavy sú otec a syn, čo sa často v knihách pre najmenších nevyskytuje. Po prečítaní tejto knihy je mojkanie sa nutnosť!

Een vader en zoon beer besluiten iedereen een knuffel te geven. Ja, echt, iedereen. Van een rups tot een wezel, iedereen krijgt een berenknuffel! Ik vond vooral de blikken van de dieren het geweldigst. Sorry, maar ze keken allemaal alsof ze a) werden opgegeten of b) doodgingen. :P Pure angst. Dat is ook waarom ik het boek had meegenomen, vanwege die hilarische cover.
Maar ik vond het wel erg zoet dat de beren dat besloten en dat ze er ook helemaal voor gingen. Leuk om alle dieren in het bos te ontmoeten, ook eentje die je normaal niet ziet maar die nu op bezoek is bij familie.
Het einde was ook leuk, ik had iemand anders in gedachten maar dit werkte ook.

Když máš pocit, že všechno kolem tebe stojí za vyliž zadek, když se snažíš udržet pozitivní myšlení a náladu a jediný pozitivní široko daleko je tvůj test na Covid, když potřebuješ obejmout a pohladit na duši. Tak přesně na tohle jsem si vytáhla od dětí z knihovny tuto nádhernou knihu. Ilustrace i text pohladí. Hlavně na duši 🖤

Na mě u dětských knížek ve značné míře funguje i hezká obálka. Prostě mě snadněji upoutá a zaujme. Ne vždy je to trefa do černého, ale u téhle se mi to povedlo. Je to moc milý příběh, který jsme už několikrát doma četli.

Hugs are awesome. With that being said, the story line was a little boring. The only part I really liked was the opening line: "One morning, as the Sun was still brushing its teeth." That lead the illustrations, which were incredible. There is a picture of the sun brushing its teeth and the foam from the toothpaste is the morning clouds. The green bushes and trees just make my heart leap. I liked the frightened weasel, the leaping moose, the bright caterpillar...Grab it just to look at the illustrations.

I agree with most of other reviews that the illustrations are what make this book. I was hoping to use this book for my Valentine's Day storytime but think I will pass. The story just is not that good and is kind of flat. Honestly as far as the message goes, I wouldn't want to encourage kids that it is okay to hug everyone they meet.

The first book my son obsessed about! A little bear, and his dad, spend the day hugging the other forest animals. Because "higging is a fine way to soend your day. It's a super cute story, and if you give each character a different "voice" when reading it outloud, it gives the story a whole new life!

Two Bears spread joy to other animals with hugs. Oh, 2020, if life could only be that again... We liked the book but we like rhythm and educational content and this didn't really have either. It was just a fun story and to be fair, perhaps some of the literary sparkle was lost in the translation.

The illustrations are what make this book stand out. The story itself is about two bears who set out to hug everyone they can and spread as much affection as possible in that way. It's funny how each animal reacts to the hug, especially coming from a typically "scary" bear.

Hugs must be different in Poland. What an odd book--I'll assume it's all in the translation. Besides, I'm pretty sure that elk illustrated is really a moose. And do hunter's only go around with binoculars and a net? A butterfly hunter? And I was slightly suspicious of the anaconda hug . . . .

Fabuła książki jest prosta - mały miś i jego tata wędrują po okolicy i mocno przytulają każdego napotkanego mieszkańca lasu. Powtarzające się wersy oraz konstrukcja fabuły sprawia, że nadaje się idealnie do czytania bardzo małym dzieciom.

Such a long book for younger children. I would recommend this book as a good read-aloud rather than individual reading. Just about every page has a minimum of 5 lines worth of words. However, the illustrations are great, and the story line is wonderful.

This book was a nice read covering important topics ranging from the importance of consent to the power of affection. It was a cute tale that included bits of humor. It is a wonderful story to read with some children.
