Torn in two directions, Glade must make one fateful choice—for herself, and the future of humanity.
Glade Io is a rebel. Having fled with her younger sisters to live among the Ferrymen, she knows there is no going back now. She is committed to the cause of overthrowing the brutal Authority, and she trains her new comrades in the art of combating Datapoints like herself—those tasked with the Ferrymen’s destruction. Meanwhile Ferryman leader Kupier longs to travel the stars with Glade, free from constant war, but to do that he believes they must strike The Authority at its heart: the ancestral homeworld of Earth.
Glade is hesitant; she hopes taking out the Datapoints living on the Station will be enough. But when the time comes, Glade faces the specter of killing her former friends in cold blood and her former mentor, Dahn Enceladus, tells her that The Authority has eyes and ears within the rebel stronghold. Now Glade faces a dilemma: sabotage The Authority from within, or return to fight alongside the Ferrymen, possibly putting her sisters’ lives in danger.
Ramona Finn writes about courageous characters who fight to live in broken, dystopian worlds. She grew up sitting cross-legged on her town's library floor - completely engrossed in science fiction books. It was always the futuristic world or the universe-on-the-brink-of-extinction plot lines that drew her in, but it was the brave characters who chose to fight back that kept her turning the pages.
Her books create deep, intricate worlds with bold characters determined to fight for their survival in their dystopian worlds - with a little help from their friends. And, of course, romance is never out of the question...
Like young-adult dystopian books? Then you're going to love Ramona Finn's "The Glitch" -- set in a futuristic world where an Artificial Intelligence rules, Lib wakes up in a barren land with one thought lodged in her mind: "Find the Glitches".
Torn in two directions, former Datapoint, Glade Io, is going to have to make an impossible choice, for herself and the very future of humanity. She's now a rebel in the eyes of The Authority. She's fled with her younger sister to the Ferrymen, and she knows that if The Authority manages to get their hands on her again, they'll make sure that she's fully under their control. She'll never get the chance to escape or stop their agenda again. Glade is fully committed to helping overthrow the brutal Authority and begins to help her new allies train in fighting against the Datapoints, who are tasked with destroying the Ferrymen. All Ferrymen leader, Kupier, wants to do is travel through space with Glade, in peace, but he knows that the only way any of them will ever be safe is for them to overthrow the Authority. And the only way to do that is to take the battle to their heart: humanity's ancestral home of Earth. Glade has been hoping that taking out the Datapoints on the station would be enough but when faced with having to fight one of her former allies, her former mentor, Dade Enceladus, he informs her of plans of the Authority that she hadn't realized the repercussions of. Glade finds herself facing an impossible choice, one that may put everyone she holds dear in jeopardy.
Wow! What an ending to this action-packed series!! In this, the final installment of The Culling Series, you really get to know the amazing characters that Ramona Finn has written. You also learn more about the Ferrymen and the Authority. It was astonishing seeing the lengths that Haven would take his Datapoints to achieve his goals. There were so many twists and surprises in this novel that I could hardly put it down because I wanted to see what was going to happen next so badly. This really was the perfect ending to the series, though I'd love if Ramona Finn wrote more books in this universe that she's created as she's really done an amazing job.
I'd like to thank Ramona Finn and Netgalley for providing me with an electronic copy of this book. I understand that receiving it in this manner does not obligate me to leave a positive review and all opinions expressed within this review are fully my own.
This last book showed how much all the characters had developed from first reading about them in book 1. Glade and Dahn showed the most growth and what a learning curve it was for both of them sprinkled with a bit of torture, betrayal and unbidden feelings along the way. It showed how far they had come from a world where logic was rewarded and feelings were an aberration in their society. In light of so much death and deception the conclusion to this series was worth the wait. I have read quite a few of the Author's books now and I am always intrigued by each new series.

This book was tragically beautiful. So much death, but lots of love and hope too. I believe this is my favorite series from the author to date.
A jilted love, a desire for revenge, a desperate need for control, everything spiraling out of control, the world coming to an end, killers taking over, the underdog trying through self sacrifice to save the masses... this book is so exciting you will not want to put it down until the end, even then you will be wanting more!!!
I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book does an excellent job of finishing the series and bringing a sense of closure. But a long the way there's twists and hard decisions and challenges.
This book really brought home how much character growth has been a key part of the series especially for Glade, the difference between who she is at the beginning of book one and the end of book three is striking. Along the way she's learned to think for herself, learned how much she does and does not understand about emotions and being human and leaned what she will and won't sacrifice and about morality. It's been an enthralling journey and one I've loved listening to.
This last book held me enthralled, I listened to the book in one sitting, I couldn't bring myself to stop partway even though I had other things i needed to do, just as well today wasn't a workday.
Stacey once again did a great job on this book, the character voices have been consistent, clear and believable from the beginning of the series to the end and the same dynamic delivery from the first two books is present for this book as well.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
I loved falling into this world and letting mine pass me by. Throughout the entire story I was tense and nervous with the characters. The levels of emotion from this book made me fall even more in love with its characters and worry and hope and cheer with them. I love how wholey this book sucked me in and took me on a ride because it was so worth it. Stacey's voice made it so much easier to fall into this world and helped me to be so much a part of it I swear I was there watching it all. Absolutely loved this book and the entire series that I'll definitely be reading it over and over.
This was the best series I have read in a while. It is unique and was exciting every minute. I love Glade the deadly Datapoint with emotions and the best mind of her kind in the solar system. It ended perfectly, a bit different from what I had thought. Surprises are always good. If you haven't read this series yet, get busy. Very few have what I'm looking for and with a strong female protagonist. This one did.
I really enjoyed this a lot. The characters seem real. While it does have the typical ‘chosen one’ she’s not also the most beautiful girl anyone has ever seen and she’s not a typical girl either. I love all the worlds created and the tech. Narration by Stacey Glemboski was excellent. I will definitely look for more by this author and narrator.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
I won't even point to how the trilogy ends- all I can tell you is that it was as great, as it was surprising. Ms. Finn spun a well crafted tale that kept this jaded, 52 year old , reading until all hours of the night. I can't wait to start reading The Glitches series. We'll done!
The human population is put to the test and for the most part survive, romances are joined and ended. I personally had the romance thing 85% nailed but the ending was a bit of a twist. I enjoyed the series and despite my feeling that the romance intruded in the story I did not lower my rating to meet my bias.
When you hit the final page, the last sentence in a series like this it really blows! Ramona Finn spun one heck of a story, Glade Io, what an amazing character. Looking back over the last few series they have mostly been female protagonists and amazing reads. This was the third book of the Culling series and well worth a few late nights. Enjoy!
Loved the main characters and the way their weaknesses and strengths compliment each other. Great unique twist on the YA genre with the Datapoint characters and their un-human flaws. Really just loved this series, highly recommend it and I read way more than I should.
I really enjoyed this story. The main character, Glade, can be a little frustrating at times but the relationships she forms throughout the series are real feeling. She really grows as a character and the story progresses at a good speed. The love story is what kept me going but the twists and turns in this futuristic universe were enjoyable, and even sometimes surprising.
I love this story. Ones like this always gets me thinking about our future. All the characters are amazing and they each bring a very unique addition to the whole thing. Being an outsider and still finding a place to belong. Loved it.
Very good. Why would the main character not explain everything to Dahn? Does not make sense. Oh well plot... Just the ending felt rushed and not what I expected.
Love the quickly laced storylines believed in the horrifying culling process rd answered for the heroine. Good character development and complex relationship s.
This trilogy needs to be made into a movie! In league with The Hunger Games and Divergent. Excellent writing, character development and world creation.
