If you love cats, and you need something short but lovely and heartwarming, this is the book for you. Shadow (a cat with no eyes), Triscuit (his orange big sister with eyes that work) and Dad have wonderful adventures, full of heart, hope and acceptance.

And I also recommend following their adventures in real time by following the instagram no_eye_shadow (clever, right?).

The page is full of sweetness and funny, and now it's even better now that baby Rosalita (eyes that don't work) has joined the family.

Love Shadow and Triscuit

Such an adorable story! I follow Shadow on instagram which is how I found out about this book. It made me laugh and tear up and remember the stories on instagram about Shadow and Triscuit and how their relationship has grown. So glad Chloe's mom got Dave to start Instagram and share his wonderful Ahadow and Triscuit with all of us. Keep the stories coming! I'm off to read book 2 now :)

Very fast read of a delightful book. This short story is about Shadow, a blind cat. ( not that you’d know it) Shadow has his own IG account, @no_eye_shadow Check out the account. As his antics are described with his sister Triscuit, you can visualize what Shadow looks like. I found myself laughing out loud and smiling continually. Even got tears eyed.

This is a beautiful short story about an incredible cat and his wonderful life with his Dad and kitty sister. It reminded me that people show love in different ways and become close at different speeds ... and animals can’t be different, can they? This is a particularly lovely bedtime story. I hope I have sweet dreams like Shadow.

A really sweet short story appropriate for young readers and adults alike. Shown through the non-existent eyes of Shadow the cat, the reader gets to appreciate the inner thoughts of a newly adopted shelter cat.

Made me cry...

I have started following Dave George @no_eye_shadow on Instagram and love the funny and sweet captions he makes on his posts. When I learned about the books he wrote, I immediately checked Amazon.

I LOVED this book. Wish it was longer...I will definitely buy his other books!
