Beauty and the Four Beasts. A Deadly Curse. A Fallen Kingdom.
With magic banned in the human realm, Bee, a powerful witch, has had to offer her services in secret. When a request to break a curse comes from the dangerous mountains and royal bear shifters, Bee is hesitant, but winter is coming and funds are tight.
At the castle, Bee finds things are not quite what she was led to believe. The curse Bee is meant to break has reached its zenith, siphoning off the Prince's life while preventing him from controlling his shifting abilities. He is volatile, angry, and far stronger than she had imagined. His brothers, who commissioned her, present her with a challenge - fix it, or lose everything.
Soon the curse is spreading throughout the castle, taking brother alike. It's a race against the clock, buffeted by dark magic, intrigue, and a strange attraction that has her looking at the four brothers in a new light.
Note: Each book in the Haven Realm series is a standalone book.
Mila Young tackles everything with the zeal and bravado of the fairytale heroes she grew up reading about. She slays monsters, real and imaginary, like there's no tomorrow. By day she rocks a keyboard as a marketing extraordinaire. At night she battles with her mighty pen-sword, creating fairytale retellings, and sexy ever after tales.
Mila Young’s writing is blazing hot in CURSED and it isn’t because it is the story of a powerful witch who finds love with not one, but four bear princes! Filled with humor, heart and heat, CURSED is my favorite book so far in the haven Realm Series. Is it the characters that come to life and made me smile? Is it the pain of four brothers cursed and suffering so terribly? Or could it be the relationships that and trusts that were built between Bee and the boys? Um, yes, yes, and yes!
I admit, I was a little taken aback by the thought of four hot guys and only one Bee, but there were emotions that came alive that rocked back and forth between cute, playful and desperately needed.
Bee needed the money offered to break a curse on four bear princes, a girl has got to eat, you know. Her introduction to the shifters was comical, but what she discovered at their castle was horrific and the clock is ticking on saving their lives. Who would curse these royal bears? Why would they do it? Bee is determined to save the princes and her heart.
Fun, sexy, tense. Read CURSED as a standalone, but do NOT miss the other fantasy tales in this series!

Book three in the Haven Realm series. If you are a fan of the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale then you really have to read this book! I am a huge fan so the take on it in this one was just fantastic. We start with Bee a witch that is hired to break a magical curse on a prince in another realm. I love how she gets her herbs from Scarlet (book 1) as it ties the stories together for me though each works as a stand alone. As Bee travels to her new job she is surrounded by some awesome bear shifters and then we get to the curse which is an odd take on the story but man does it make things interesting. Her attempt to break it is just makes the story even better. The relationship development with the guys had me hooked and by the end of the story I was all in loving every minute of it. If you enjoy a fairy tale retelling with an RH twist then you really have to try this book. I loved every minute of it (including the awesome library scene) and give it 5/5 stars.
I didn’t really connect with this one and it’s unfortunate as it’s a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Only this time the beauty gets more than one beast. There was no dancing or singing furniture. There was a cool library and a curse only the heroine could break. I feel like my brain just zoned out for a lot of this book. Bee worried her whole life about her darker side, her evil twin in a way. In the midst of the climax she realizes all her life all she had to do was merge her two halves and suddenly she is the answer to stopping the curse. I mean sure there was the whole blood and roses aspect but I just wasn’t overly impressed. I thought it was cute she wrote erotica and she thought it was a big secret yet it appears the only secret was that everyone knew but her. The idea was cute but it felt forced. As for the guys, aside from the Prince Talon and Ash (or was it Raze?) the one into gardening? I don’t really know distinguishing character traits for the other two guys. I literally just finished and can’t separate them in my head which I think helped me not connect fully with the story. Side note.... I read via audio so if the names are spelled wrong don’t come for me 😘

Bee is whisked away to the snowy mountains to help rid a bear shifter prince of a curse. And while she is a strong witch, the curse is stronger yet. With the curse about to hit its zenith, Bee must race to find a way to cure him with the help of his three brothers. Her first attempt doesn't go as planned, and now all their lives are at stake. Will Bee be able to save these gorgeous princes she's come to care for or will they all be lost to the darkness?
Another fantastic reverse harem story in the Haven Realm series. This is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, my favorite fairy tale. I love Bee. She's such a spitfire! I also loved that her escape is writing romance (naughty!) books. The bear shifters offer a lot of inspiration for her stories. Each one is different and hot. The curse takes a wild twist just as the story takes the reader on a wild ride!
I did actually really love this re imagination. While it was still enough like the original to give it the same enchanted feel, I loved the actual originality of the story in book 3 of this series. Also I feel like, while the connections were still very insta everything and took no time to develop, the adversity brought the characters together in a great way.
Honestly, I can't help but think maybe this series just isn't for me. Despite loving the originality and connections i can't shake the feeling that this could have been great if the time had been taken/given to put this in a longer novel type form. Take away the insta.. and really develop the world and characters even more. I feel like it could have been so good, instead of wham bam thankyou ma'am style fashion. I get that obviously the quick little ditty feel is what she is going for... but I just wish she had really ran with this one because it had all the goods there.
Not sure if I'm going to continue this series for now. May put it on pause until I need a breather from some more in depth stuff... *shrugs*
Well this had potential but seemed to fall a little flat. The way she lifted the curse seemed almost bland. It was built up them this little fizz and bam the curse was gone. There were a few good parts but the general story line just wasn't like the others and seemed lacking to a point.
I read this right after Hunted, Haven Realm #1. I don't think it made a difference which one was read. These are all individual stories, and the characters pop up or are talked about within each individual book. This one I was glad to read about because she was in the first book, a friend of that MC. She has a heart and wants to be loved, cherished, and adored. She hasn't found Mr. Right. In her free and alone time, when she's not brewing up a potion, practicing or memorizing a spell, she's living out her love life in her dreams or her stories. I don't think that had any spoilers..
Normally I love Mila Young's book but this one wasn't the normal 5 stars for me. I'm not sure what made my rate go down but I feel like it's because the ending was super rushed when it came to getting the curse to break.
I would have liked to understand Lilita more than just that she's the evil side of Bee.
Decent story but was too long and too drawn out...
Sigh Ok, I liked this story better than Bee’s friend Scarlet’s story, which. Ironically was almost the opposite in a sense, while Scarlet seemed to turn into a nympho 5 seconds after she meets her wolves and that’s just chapter 3 or 4 , here we’re a good ways in before Bee has even gotten to the castle and met all 4 brothers.... And while I was grateful she story never got to a place where it started to feel all sex and no story like it did for a big bulk of the other book, things here seemed to drag on and on and on to where I started to lose patience with the whole process... Bee goes to the castle thinking like many others it will be a quick in and out and off on her way,but this is way too complicated for that, and while we didn’t need her/them to figure it out too quickly or easily and end story too fast, Bee stumbles and bumbles her way thru this mainly with guesses and a little intuition, trying to be bold and brazen one minute and practically wetting her pants in fear and indecision the next... Bee wasn’t my fave character in Scarlet’s story and I can say I didn’t come to love her here,I tried but I wanted a h who even if she wasn’t as fearless as she tried to act, she had more faith in herself than she had,Bee was more of a scared little girl playing dress up at times as the 14 yr. old cousin pushed at Talin to wed... I need to see my characters grow in a story, they might start out weak or shaky in the beginning but throughout the trials and tribulations of the story they going to their own and have true faith in themselves the heroine here never truly did...at least not that I could see, even at the end with her father introducing him to her men.... It was really really frustrating to drag the story out sooo long trying to figure out the cause or the cure of the curse or the hex, then to go off the confront their uncle only to never find exactly why he did it before he was killed off, that was disappointing and then then next day where the “cure” was FINALLY discovered it was drug out sooooooooo long with starts and stumbles and distractions I was skimming just to get to then end... What also got to me was how long this was drug out but when it was over it was over, everything was just “neatly” tied up and it was over, no true confrontation with the bad guy, nothing about sorting things out with staff and servants etc... To me this was a story that managed to some how have some depth and feel shallow all at the same time ... It was all about the princes and their curse but little else, and Bee was too weak for me to enjoy .. Might read more but grateful this was KU,but for all its faults still one the better Reverse Harems out there atm, even though I’ve seen a few that make me want to ask if the writers know what the term means when I’ve seen some where the men are with each other as much or more than the h ( well,if she’s having to share it’s not HER harem ) or one where the “Harem” included a woman in it,the h was supposed to have a “reverse harem” that was two men and a woman? Aaaaaaaaaaaa,No! That’s not Reverse anything! Sooo despite its faults and that I can’t see myself ever reading this again and I wasn’t crazy about the h , if you have KU and like RH I would recommend this....
You sure you can break curses? How the *heck* would bear shifters behave? I’d never me a bear shifter before. Goddess, what had I gotten myself into? Was it a bear attribute to resemble a god? This was so unfair, dangling these men in front of me when they weren’t on the menu! Don’t we all dream of having someone special to share our lives with? that kind of stuff only happened in fairy tales. Thank you Goddess for this fantabulous story! and then some!! I love how in-depth this story is! It may start off fairytale-ish, and while at the heart of it, it is based on fairy tales, it very quickly evolves from semi-lighthearted into one helluva deeply enriched story with surprises, twists, turns, hot and OMG! moments to keep you enchanted from beginning to end!! I had to read the last part at least three times just to catch it all because I was so caught up in it all, I couldn't slow down and read it all the first time! Or the second!! Phenomenal storytelling!! I found it so creative how FULL of story this one is, WITHOUT dragging it out, and yet giving them a full, deep story where all parts that needed to be there were there, nothing added in that felt awkward or like it was just there to make the story longer, to fill in parts, how she didn't sleep with any/all of them in the very beginning, etc. PHENOMENAL JOB on the story & character development!!! I loved Bee from the first time I met her in Scarlet's book Hunted, so I was beyond excited to read Cursed! But Bee is so much more than I first thought, so kind, loving, fight for what's right, so of course her story is so much more too! And those princes! *fans self* All are perfect in their own way, ensuring that picking a favorite is pretty much impossible!! I love how the story unfolds, taking me on a journey like no other! The enriched, detailed descriptions, the multifaceted characters and the deep connections I forged with them all, the way I lived this story as Bee - Hey! Who hasn't had fairy-tale dreams/fantasies! - had me COMPLETELY captivated from page one, not releasing me from its grasp even now! Mila Young has created a new series of fairy tales for me to love, cherish & devour!! These ain't your childhood fairy tales!! But are PERFECT adult ones to replace them with!! wink
I deeply enjoyed this story. Mila has such a descriptive way of writing that pulls you in and places you in the story. The visuals giving made you feel a part of the action. This story was so action packed from start to finish.... After she stole the horse from the guy that was obsessed with her. That part of the story seemed unnecessary and tremendously dry. It dragged on and we keep bringing him back into the story at heat/interesting moments. Only to bring down the significance of the moment. Their we're a few parts that were as believe able with the plot line... Like Tristan just happening upon them at the end of the book. Rek showing up in the forest. Len asking g Bee to give birth to the mistress and her telling Bee about the witch. I loved the story telling. The diversity of each prince in relations to Bee. They all seemed like fully developed characters. They didn't overlap or become onesided. We got to see her build a relationship with each prince individual and it was sweet. I got to say didn't love the other chicks name. Liltha??? That is a terrible name. I enjoyed the back story from all the characters and I would love to hear more from Chloe!
This story follows a young witch who is commissioned to help end a curse on a buyer. When she arrives to the place she is required to meet them she realizes that the person who is cursed is one of four princes. The prince is cursed to turn into a half man half bear (he is a shifter normally but is stuck in this cycle he can't get out of) and she tries many ways to help save him as he tries to kill everyone in sight when he is under the spell. During her time at the castle she finds herself falling for each of the princes in their own way and in the process of trying a spell to break the curse, ends up cursing them all, including herself. You see, she has a double personality. There is a dark witch inside her that can randomly take control and wants to literally take over the world. They find that when she kisses them, or engages in any sexual activity it helps them all to combat the curse. So through this, she falls for them even more and they end up falling for her as well. The story ends with a battle of them trying to break the spell. Will she be successful or will they be cursed to die on the full moon?
If you like your fairy tales with a modern twist and some magic this series is for you. The world of Haven is an interesting place and I love reading more of it in each book.
Though I can see where this series might not be for everyone. The mix of a medieval era with modern language is a little unusual. I personally don't mind this, but if you're looking for an authentic fairytale this might not be for you. However, if you're looking for something different to read I would highly recommend this.
Bee is an interesting character. As the story progresses she doesn't change much from the start to end, she's a decently strong woman and pretty much stays that way throughout the book, and when she does get discouraged, she pushes herself to snap out of it. And the guys are pretty great. They're not just sexy, but kind and caring and strong also. The story really centers around all five of them. I would recommend this to anyone interested is RH and fairytales anyday.
So far, this is my favorite out of the 3 haven books I've read! From start to finish, I loved it all. Bee has been my favorite character since Hunted. She's feisty, smart, and knows what she wants out of life. And she's powerful! I was so glad to see that she accepted herself, all of herself in this book. Both the light and the dark and learned that she wasn't fully good or bad. That both her and lilita were the same person and belonged merged together. That was such a beautiful moment in the book. I also loved all 4 princes and so glad she got to have them all. The love coming off the page was tangible. I just love how accepting the 4 brothers were of each other and the relationship they all have with Bee. I feel the best part of the book was how accepting Bee's dad was of her relationship and was just happy that she was happy! The wedding was beautiful and I really want to see more of Bee and the 4 princes in the next book. Oh and scarlet and her 3 guys ❤

So, I haven't read any books for a few weeks, since I've been nose-deep in editing. I decided my brain needed a break, and since recently discovering the Reverse Harem genre, I chose this one, since I read Hunted and liked it well enough. I think, though, that I ended up liking Hunted better.
When I go into a standalone RH book, I am going to assume that the connection is instant and the sex doesn't take half the book to start. Let me say that this book was not instant, the plot took far too long to set up, and the sex didn't even start until halfway through the book.
It was a good enough book, the typical setup for a harem: a family of shifters are used to sharing one mate. So nothing new there. I did like the twist it put on Beauty and the Beast, but I have to say, bear shifters just aren't my thing.
I considered this to be a very unique take on Beauty and the Beast, just add in an extra 3 beasts, Belle being a witch, and some hot sex and you have this book. I have enjoyed all of Mila’s books especially this series. I like how some of the characters cross paths such as Scarlett and her 3 wolves. Very creative world that Mila has created for this series and each story is unique and full of love with a healthy dose of steamy scenes. I considered this to be a quick and steamy read which was exactly what I needed today. Definitely give this book and this series a shot because I don’t think you would be disappointed.
This story was not quite as tight as the first one I read, and four heroes is too many, it turns out, because two of them never fully developed, and the intimacy scene with one felt like an afterthought. But I loved how the main character, Bee, was an avatar for the author herself, even starting to write this very novel within the novel. I also loved all the little details, the Easter eggs throughout, that hearken back to the Beauty and the Beast story that inspired this one.
As usual, this book moves quickly and contains lots of action (and not just one kind of action). Young is very good at painting such a vivid picture in the reader's mind that sometimes I felt I could see it.
This is the third book in the Haven Realm series and yes can be a standalone read but why would you want to miss out on the other two books? This book is about Bee who we meet in one of the other books and we get to see the trials she has to go through. This book does have more of a completed character development than the previous book and has a nice slow burn on the relationship development. I can not wait to see what is in store for the rest of the Haven Realm books. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is probably my favourite retelling done by Mila Young so far.
Beauty in the Beast is one of two of my all time favourite fairytales. I’m obsessed with it, so I was very much looking forward to how Mila would make it into her own. I wasn’t disappointed. The story was very compelling. I was intrigued from the get-go. It was different, yet still has the original fairytale underlining it. The characters were interesting and easy to become attached to, especially the guys. In whole, it was a great read. I’m looking forward to more retelling!
A pretty good retelling of a classic story with it's own little twists. I liked this mc more than some of the others from the fairy tale books. They still seem incredibly similar though. Like repainted versions of the same action figure. Bee was different because she didn't become sex goddess so quickly at least and there was more relationship building. It was still a good read though and was not what i expected. I enjoyed it and can't wait to delve into the next fairy tale retellings
Young finally did something different. She changed the number of males. I would have thought she drop it to maybe two, nope, she went for four this time.
Not going to lie, I facepalmed.
Three is an interesting number, four is downright maximum level. This time all the males are not brother's by bond, but by blood. Given how most sibling rivalries go, I expect some bickering, even with a curse. When it comes to Belle, not so much. And surprise of all surprises, I did not even mind that it was based around Beauty and the Beast. (Likely because there were too many males.)
Exhilarating, action packed, four sexy, bear shifters and a sinfully, beautiful witch.
Mila Young is an outstanding storyteller! Cursed: A Reverse Harem Fairy Tale Retelling (Haven Realm Book 3) is like Beauty and the Beast but with a dynamic twist. I loved this book! With its whirlwind action, nail-biting suspense and the erotic thoughts, words and deeds! OH MY! Fellow book readers there needs to be a warning put on this book! WARNING: Read at the cost of getting HOT and BOTHERED!
This was a pretty good re-telling of Beauty and the Beast but it lost its way a lot before we got to the end.
I initially liked Bee as a character but then she just kept doing one stupid thing after another and my patience left. I did like all the bear shifters though with Ash probably being my favorite. There was just too much instant attraction and unlikely scenes for me to really enjoy this but still an enjoyable read.
This retelling of Beauty and the Beast is a wonderfully refreshing take on the story. I love how it is not just one beast but a beast and his brothers. The twists to the plot are intriguing and hold you from chapter to chapter. The Haven Realm books are stand alones but the books are so much better when you read them all. The character crossovers are so fulfilling.
Interesting twists… This story is another twist on a classic tale. Bee is a witch who writes romance novels. She takes on odd jobs to help pay the bills with her Father. She has taken on a major curse cure when she is suddenly in the middle of all kinds of danger. Inside herself as well as all around her. The four bear shifter Princes need her to release this curse, but they also find her holding their hearts. Steam 9/10 * Sweet 10/10 * 1st POV * RH * HEA
Beauty and the beast is my favorite fairy tale ever. I read a lot of retelling of this one, but this version just took my heart and make me forget others. Bear shifters, curse, witch and race against time. Lots of secrets, lots of inside (and only) fights, falling and raising. Four princes with characters so different but so lovable and one witch with powers stronger that she could have imagine. Love ot ot the bits.
I enjoyed the is book a lot better then book 2, as we saw this book before in book 1 as the fun & flirty best friend. Her father is a poor inventor so she try’s to make money for them by selling her smutt books & preforming white magic.
Well on a case she finds herself in a castle with 4 handsome bear shifter brothers/ princess.
There’s a curse and inner turmoil light vs. Dark magic. Action, adventure, family betrayal & some good spice.
I love Beauty and the Beast (I mean, I have an entire sleeve tattoo dedicated to the story), and this retelling really had me on the edge of my couch. There's a lot of action, and I love Bee since the beginning. I love strong female characters, and this book does not disappoint. I admit, I didn't start from the beginning of the series because I got excited when I saw the B&B retelling. My grabby hands had to start here. I can't wait to explore the world with other retellings. I loved all the princes, they all had great dynamics with Bee.
Another sexy retelling of Beauty & the Beast RH style. I was excited to read this story since it was Bee’s story and I wasn’t disappointed. Bee was hired to lift a curse and meets 4 Princes. Nothing goes as planned and now they are in more danger, but Bee will do whatever she can too help the Princes. Hot sexy story that will have you reading non stop.
This storyline was very good and the characters were well developed. The action scenes could have been improved upon . I felt that the author could've put a little more history in the shifter families. Reks' family details should've been better developed. Overall the story was good. I would recommend to our readers.😇😊
