Rhoan was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where he spent his first fourteen years being groomed by his grandparents. The importance of family was taught to him from childhood, especially growing up in a large God-fearing household. In December of 1986 on a cold winter’s night, he relocated to Montreal, Canada, to live with his mother Daphney Williams and brother Timothy Davis. During his school years in Montreal, Rhoan graduated from James Lynn High and got accepted into Dawson College, but never attended. Instead, the soon to be author hustled in several industries both legal and unlawful, all while gathering the life expectancies necessary to create his novels. In 2008 Rhoan opened Best of Both Borders Records, which was a music company that specialized in producing artists of all genders.
Writing Career:
The ’Bet On Himself Author’ released his first novel entitled; Informer/The Wars of Men in the summer of 2010, which was a fictional Canadian rude-boy/biker novel that primarily took place in Montreal. The novel was based on a gang war between immigrants and their first nation warriors versus a nationwide corporation of Canadian bikers. This diverse storyline covered a range of topics such as racism, police brutality, government corruption, murder, micro-aggression, sex, drugs, etc. The Wars of Men was the first released title in this rude-boy trilogy.
Yahweh: which was the second novel released by the author, was a novel dedicated to readers who consider themselves as God-Fearing individuals. The storyline told of God’s return to this planet, where his army battled Satan’s forces for rulership of Earth. The uniqueness of this tale was that it featured several main characters to depict what tragedies the entire world encountered, during the historical war of Armageddon.
The Blue Jay And The Squirrel: was the author’s first children’s book. This extraordinary tale was co-authored by Rhoan’s twin sons Rhovon and Jahvon, who both drew all the pictures used for the creation of the book.
Informer 2/The Treachery Of Friends: The second edition in the rude-boy versus biker trilogy. Following the immigrants and Indians’ huge victory over the bikers, could they control the underground drug trade and run the city? Following the rude-boy posy’s leader being removed from his post, friends clash over who should be his replacement.
Mama Devow/The Devil’s Concubine: was a Jamaican Voodoo novel and the author’s smallest sized book to date. This was the author’s first novel which he dedicated to Black History, to highlight one of the oldest African religions on Earth. The story was about an Obeah practitioner whose heir was smuggled away and brought to Canada by her mother. To have the child returned the Obeah Queen employed some of her clients and sent them abroad to recapture the designated heir.
The Volcano King: Was Rhoan’s second children’s book which he also created with his co-authors Rhovon and Jahvon Flowers. This was the author’s second book which he dedicated to Black History. This kids’ story was metaphorically intended to keep the thought of slaves alive, by making our children aware of their existence. [To enslave 1 of my people, means enslaving us all]
Informer 3/Bloodshed Never Ends: The final edition in the rude-boy and Indians’ war versus a huge biker organization. Despite the trilogy being fiction, the author covered several real-life topics such as The Systemic System of The Police Organization, Discriminatory Government Policies, Exploitation of Immigrants, and others throughout.
Black Cherokee: Was the Jamaican author’s first Western Novel. The storyline was centered around a community of Indians who were forced to flee from their homeland, when the U.S Cavalry and a band of bigot cowboys went searching for them to eradicate their group. To survive the Indians were forced to try and flee across the border into Mexico. (Released July 2021)
