My latest book, Love and Nightmares was published on 05/11/2023.

I've lived in five different states and 11 different homes, I think if I remembered all. Family members have passed, four dogs passed, and I survived Covid. I have made many friends along the way. I'm a tough ol bird, as the saying goes.

My husband and two Boston Terriers are now living a good retired life in a 114-year-old farmhouse in a small town in South Georgia. Life is good.

Beware of mixing alcohol and online dating sites!

Dawn is not a kid .. she's a mature adult ... and when one of her friends talks her into creating a profile on a popular dating site, she wasn't sober enough to say no.

Astonished, she finds herself attracted to a handsome man several states away in Montana. They talk nightly on the phone. Before too long he invites her to Montana, to his cabin, so they can meet face to face and enjoy the great hiking trails of the Rocky Mountains.

All goes really well .. he's handsome, charming, he makes her laugh ... until he doesn't. She ignores the uncomfortable feelings she has, until he turns into something evil.

Mr Perfect ... he isn't.

Terrified, and isolated, does Dawn have the strength to escape?

And if she can, how will she make it out of the wilderness alive?

Very suspenseful, the book bounces from today to how she first met Michael, to the breakup of her marriage to John. Dawn's angst is apparent on each page. The volatile ending will leave the reader drained.

This is the first of a series, the second being DEADLY FRIEND. You don't want to miss out on the continuation of Dawn's life.

Many thanks to the author / TBC Reviewer Request Group (Facebook) for the digital copy of this psychological thriller. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

I got this as a e book from a facebook group that I am a member of called tbc reviews. I enjoyed reading it. It had a good story to it. Even though it was fiction it made me wonder that some online relationships can go bad like this one. It had a cliff hanger ending. I hope to read more books by this author.

Just finished a book called Mr.Perfect.com by K.D. Bloodworth. What an appropriate name this writer has. The book is an easy read about internet dating. Dawn is a lonely divorcee, her friend convinces her to look for a partner on the internet. She chats with a man who seems to be Mr. Perfect and goes to Montana to meet him. She has a couple of good days with him, then things change. Beware of the internet.

"Make all the noise you want. No one is going to hear you out here."

You know when you read a really good book, and it's so good that you can't stop thinking about it, even after you've finished? You know, the kind of book that you want to tell EVERYONE about and
demand that they read it? Well, this is that book, hands down. This is by far one of the best psychological thrillers I've read in a very long time! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!

Dawn finds herself single after she and her husband, John drift apart. He seems to have moved on, but she's stuck. At the urging of her friend, she gives the on-line dating scene a try. MrPerfect.com. Sounds promising, right? There she meets Michael. Handsome. Rugged. A hunt-your-own dinner kind of man. Right up her alley. Messaging, turns to phone calls, which leads to a cross-country visit to meet the man of her dreams. But, never in her wildest dreams did she imagine she'd end up fighting for her life. Does she have what it takes to survive, or is her time running out?

Michael loves technology. No longer does he have to troll the bars looking for his next woman. Now, thanks to MrPerfect.com, they come running to him. Perfect.

This was my first read from K.D. Bloodworth and it wont' be my last! I can't say enough about this book. I've been talking about it to anyone who'll listen. I would highly recommend you grab this one!!

If you think it won’t happen to you, think again. In this modern day of Internet dating how do we ensure Mr. Perfect is who he says he is, or at least who his profile insists he is? Of course, initially, Mr. Perfect appears to be exactly that - Mr. Perfect. But he’s been working on his image for quite some time now…
This story takes off right from the start. There is no gentle immersion. You’re in it. Intrigue, confusion, self-doubt, and fear are steadily brewing.
Our heroine, Dawn, is up to her neck in all things not nice. So what will she do? What can she do? She is lost to her family and friends, has no cell phone coverage, and is basically out of human contact in a remote unknown part of the country.
The author writes with confidence in her storyline and research. She even brought me to tears at one part.
It’s gripping, believable and un-put-down-able.
Well done!

What can I say but WOW! What a story and what a storyline. It keeps you guessing all the way.

Dawn, a newly divorced woman decides to get back into the dating game after her estranged husband announces that their marriage isn't something that he wants anymore and with the help of a friend signs up to MrPerfect.com where she finds Michael Conrad. His profile is perfect on screen so she strikes up a chat with him. After a few months of chats and phone calls, Dawn agrees to travelling across the country to visit Michael.

A few cracks start to show with Michael's story as he starts to slip up - accidental or intentional - and his personality changes. Mr Perfect isn't as perfect as he originally seemed. Dawn needs to find a way to escape and get back home. But before she gets the chance to, Michael takes her on a hike into the wilderness.

Can Dawn survive and get back to civilisation, to freedom? Or will Michael succeed in keeping her from everything in her life?

A psychological thriller with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat, from multiple points of view is one book that you definitely don't want to miss.

Interesting

This book was pretty solid, but I didn't love it.
For starters there were numerous errors that should have been caught before MrPerfect.com was ever published. (An example is a sentence that contained "is" when it should have said "his", and "here" instead of "her").
In the beginning of the book, the time frame jumps around quite a bit, a lot of "then and now" stuff. That's normally a lot of fun, but I felt like it was more of a distraction in this book than helpful. Dawn has a lot of "flashbacks" or thinks through memories in the "now"'chapters anyways, so the back and forth just seemed extra.

I did like that this book was a little different than standard thrillers, it puts online dating into more of a spotlight, and reinforces that you never truly know someone.

If you're not bothered by errors. And a rather slow start, I'd say this is a good book for you!

This book had me gripping the edge of my seat, If you love a good mystery and a thriller all rolled into one, then this is the book for you. It captured my attention right from the start and I couldn't put it down.
Dawn and her husband John have drifted apart, he decides to move out, after divorcing she moves to a new town and a new job. One of her friends talks her into joining a dating website where she meets Michael the all too perfect man. They chat online and then on the phone and after a few months she decides to travel to Montana to get to know him better. Little does she know that it will turn into a fight for her life. Can she do it or will Michael get to her before she can excape. Only one way to find out, I highly recommend you pick up a copy.

If you're thinking about travelling cross country to meet somebody you 'met' online, think again.
You don't know who is behind the screen, and this fantastic, nail biting novel is the best advert for avoiding dating sites.
The characters are well written, and without giving spoilers, Michael is thoroughly disturbed, whereas Dawn, well at first, doesn't see the wood for the trees.
When she finally realises MrPerfect is MrNutjob, I looked forward to what she woulds do next, and spent most of the novel hoping Dawn would outwit, and outrun him.
If you want to know how it ends, grab your copy now.
Well worth 5 stars.

I loved this book, from page one to the very end it engaged me as a reader.
If you’re looking for a psychological read then you wouldn’t go far wrong with this book. The main characters were older which set a very different scene. There is (at least for me) a definite assumption that online dating is a younger persons game, seeing the characters older but involved with online dating hooked me.
A serial killer who keeps killing, who evolves to avoid detection totally unexpected
To be honest I really didn’t see the end of this book coming, about 3/4 of the way through the novel turned it got darker and deeper
Thrilling end!

A thrilling novel, which had me gripped from beginning to end. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down. Based around internet dating, this book brings a darker aspect to this common way of dating in today’s world. I was rooting for the main character, Dawn who just wanted to find love following the breakdown of her marriage to John. Having set up a profile on MrPerfect.com, Dawn meets the seemingly ‘perfect’ Michael and her nightmare begins. A great psychological thriller, which I recommend and I am excited to discover Bloodworth’s next novel, Deadly Friend, MrPerfect.com, Book Two, which continues Dawn’s story.

chilling.
Dawn is a little uneasy from the very beginning of her foray into internet dating and it turns out she was right to be!
the characters in Mr Pefect.com are well written and very believable- from the older lady looking for love (and desperate enough to travel across the country to meet a man) to the chilling Michael with his numerous slip-ups revealing little by little his true self.

This is a fast paced novel, hard to put down as you are desperate to find out if Dawn or Michael triumphs.

This book is awesome and very frightening. This is something that could happen to anyone. Although there are many people who are honest and caring, unfortunately in today's world there are so many who are not. Going on dating sites is just asking for trouble.....it's a scary world out there. I enjoyed reading this book and I went through a lot of emotions. At the end I actually cried. You won't be disappointed in this book,

I absolutely loved "MrPerfect.com". This was a tense, nail biting, action packed read. Many times I wanted to shout at the main character "Run!, RUN! You silly woman!"
The author lets the reader know pretty early on of the danger that faces the lead character, you're left rooting for her and hoping she can have a normal life by the final pages.
This book was recommended to me by a good friend, Thank You, it was a fantastic choice which I am now urging my psychological Thriller book friends to read, devour and love too.
I look forward to reading more from this author, my eyes, heart and mind are ready for more!

Looking for love in dangerous places

This is a frightening story of how dangerous online dating can be for someone vulnerable and naive. Dawn is in a mid life crisis and becomes an easy target for a serial killer. She decides to go hiking with him in the mountains. She’s all excited at first, but as they venture farther into the wilderness she starts to have doubts about some of his comments and dubious behaviour. But she still follows him until it becomes too late for her to turn back. Her struggles to get away from him, and the ways she finds to survive for days and nights in this beautiful but hostile environment in the Montana mountain wilderness keeps the reader on edge. A good story idea and a great read!

Like a movie on Lifetime!

Good story, even though it was kind of predictable. It was basic reading, nothing to enrich or entice ones thought process. I really felt like I was watching a movie on Lifetime. I liked how the writer gave us a view of the past and present to give more explanation about the characters and their actions.

I recommend.

I was very entertained by this thriller, I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't put it down. Dawn, a strong willed woman survives unbelievable circumstances and a madman she thought she could love. In tradition of Stephen King's Misery and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, this was a great female character study of being careful and the dangers of hooking up with strange men online.

I liked this story about a woman who gets involved with a man on an online dating site, and later discovers he is a serial killer. She finds herself lost in the Montana forests, caught in a cat-and-mouse game with the maniac she mistakenly trusted. Looking forward for the sequel!

Great book and easy to read. It brings a thriller in the electronic age to life. It was also nice to have characters involved that weren’t your usual young fit things and to give it a much more realistic and relevant edge. Thoroughly enjoyable
