Riley and his friends are living their lives in a new safe haven. Everything about this place is perfect--people have jobs, families are growing, and the horror of the infection and its devastating consequences are now nothing more than a dark memory.
But something happens. An event so cataclysmic that Riley's life is turned upside-down all over again.
Now, against all odds, Riley and his friends must fight if they want to ensure a peaceful future. But it soon becomes clear that nothing is ever going to be the same again. Especially when an outsider makes a shocking, game-changing discovery...
Ryan Casey is the author of over a dozen novels and a highly successful serial. He writes gritty post-apocalyptic fiction, throwing normal people into devastating situations and exploring how they react and adapt. He has also written several detective mysteries and thrillers. Across all genres, Casey's work is renowned for its rapid pacing, unforgettably complex characters, and knockout twists.
Casey lives in the United Kingdom. He has a BA degree in English with Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham, and has been writing stories for as long as he can remember. In his spare time, he can be spotted walking his West Highland White Terrier, has a passion for cinema and television, and probably spends a little bit too much time in the pub.
So, let me start off by saying that I always love Ryan Casey’s covers. They always (for me) foreshadow the sh@$ that’s About. To. Go. Down! And I love it!
Initially when I went to read this book I wasn’t in the right frame of mind so I put it back on my to read list. I will admit when I am wrong. I ended up rereading this book and I LOVED every minute of it. Ryan Casey finds such imaginative ways to bring people back, to have people die, and the ways in which they turn. I ended up being so possessed by this book that I told my sister I’d have to do our morning talks once the book was finished. Lol! Sorry sis!
Anyway I would recommend this series to anyone who has a love for The Walking Dead, fiction at its best, drama, romance with a twist and crazy endings!
This is the Ryan Casey at his absolute best and this is why we keep coming back for more!
Okay, so I’m kind of tired of writing long(ish) reviews for every single Dead Days book. So, instead, I think I’ll just be writing shorter, bullet-point reviews for each season from now on.
Here goes my brief overview of season ten...
(SPOILER WARNING)
What I liked: • Strong dialogue, as always. • Believable characters who are realistically affected by past experiences. • Near-perfect, jaw-dropping shocker moments. • The building of tension in almost every chapter. • The disturbing scene where Riley and his friends nearly go through with killing baby Kesha because they think she’s infected and going to turn; it was brilliantly written.
What I didn’t like: • Repeated use of old plot points - like the ‘climbing down a building on a rope’ one. I would have liked to see them come up with a different way to do it. • The MacGuffin plot point of Marie deciding to break into a restricted area on the island, only to release the virus again. • Peter Hillson (or whatever his name was), a.k.a, the textbook ‘friendly man in charge who is hiding something’ character. • Inconsistencies in the story, such as the description of Anna crying from her EYES when she only has one EYE.
Overall opinion: Although it is certainly not a flawless book, it’s easy to ignore the flaws when the story is so exciting and the questions it asks about humanity are so thought-provoking. With the insane situation the characters are placed in at the end of this season, I think I am more eager to read the next one than I was after finishing any of the previous books.

Well I have read Dead Days 1 through 10 and these are the best books i have read in awhile. Lots of action and situations i just didn't know how or if the group would get out of. Loved them. Now I will go and read Chloe.
