This is Alaric and Ashlynn's story . Alaric just knows he is losing his mind all he dreams and thinks about is blood sex and death . Fearing he is going crazy and knows that if he does he will be killed he reaches out to his friends for help . At his club he almost starts a fight with one of his friends because he wants to know about the woman that the male was carrying out to a taxi . He wants her stopped but when she isn't he just about loses his mind ! Ash is a well known heart surgeon and had received a 911 call while at the club Crave where one of her friends was having her bachelorette party at . Before she received the text she had figured out that the men , whom there as guards for the party , were vampires and the Sampson is so surprised that she could tell that he just had to ask how she figured it out ! So when Alaric demands to know who she is Sampson knows all about her and is able to tell where she was going and why . After Alaric learns that he himself is a suspect in some horrid murders , he knows that only one of his old friends could be the only one doing it , After trouble at Crave Ash is kidnapped by Androu , whom Ash has labeled Captain Crazy pants lol , she learns what is going on and why . This book is well written and strongly recommended to all !!

Alaric is one of the last Vampires from his Scottish Clan. Having come to the new world to make something of himself, he has done well and owns an exclusive club called Crave.
Ashlynn is the youngest cardiac surgeon and the head of her department at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
Once Alaric gets a whiff of Ashlynn, he knows he has to have her as his own.
This book has betrayal, awakenings, some violence, love and some steamy sex.
I highly recommend this to all PNR lovers.

I've read a couple of these and really enjoyed them. This was no different. Alaric is losing his mind not just dreaming but thoughts of killing and draining women and even his 2nd in command. He has no idea why and is losing control. Ashlynn is a pediatric heart surgeon and she has dreams too. Hmmm what happens when these 2 meet? Will he claim her before he goes mad? Not to mention someone is trying to frame him. Read and find out!

Great characters in this book and the author wrote a fantastic story line. If I could do more then 5 stars I sure would.

Another wonderful addition to this series
Alaric is a millionaire vampire that has built his reputation on his control of all the gifts and desires of his vampiric nature. Due to his control of himself and the goals he set when he was changed into a vampire, he has the admiration and the respect of all, including even though not well known, that of the Directive, and his club Crave has him set for life and beyond.
Ashlynn is the youngest pediatric cardio thoracic surgeon in her field and one of the smartest at that. Ashlynn doesn’t know how to relax, she is all work and not much for going out and living life. But her friends bachelorette party at Crave, will change all that forever.
When Ashlynn is at the bachelorette party she gets an 9 1 1 text and has to leave ASAP. Thanks to the bodyguards (vampires) assigned to the party, she is up and out and at the ER in 10 minutes. But when being escorted out Alaric get her scent and loses all rational thought.
With the Directive breathing down Alaric’s neck, trying to find a rogue vampire who is trying to frame him, and this constant need to feed, he thinks he is going crazy and may have to be put down.
And Ashlynn, who can’t stop dreaming about the sexy millionaire who was on the cover of the magazine next to her bed, is also praying to the heavens to save her patient and her self.
Can Ashlynn save her patient? Can Alaric gets himself under control before the Directive decide to take matters into their own claws? Can the dangers of falling for a predictor be worth the risk?
This is well worth finding out.

An enjoyable read with interesting characters and a well written flowing plot with romance, intrigue and betrayal.
I did not understand the Directive very well but have not read this series. Will have to look into it.

The incomparable Julia Mills has added her take on A Vampire’s Thirst with Alaric. She’s even tied in her first love, Dragons, by having the dreamy vampire bonded with the ancient dragon Carrick, so that his power is even more formidable. Having found his Bloodmate Ashleigh, Alaric has only one obstacle in his pathway to eternal happiness. Another vampire is killing women and leaving a trail of clan tartans and ruby rings to bring Alaric into a deadly trap. Will the dastardly villain use Ash as the bait in his final trap? Romantic
This has got to be the sweetest most romantic of all the series so far. Alaric owns a club and is not feeling himself as we know it's the thirst but Alaric thinks that he's becoming unstable. Ash is at the club when she gets a 911 code and has to rush to the hospital. Alaric scents her and knows he must have her unfortunately someone is after Alaric. Will he find and rescue his bloodmate in time or is he doomed find out in this book

Alpha male Alaric takes what he wants, and you will like it. I enjoyed reading it and may continue to read the series; something I rarely do. The only reason I’m giving it four stars and not five is because “I” felt it was a little rushed. Overall it was a great read.

The characters were perfect, of course and the storyline set up quickly and moved along great. The mature content was volcanic and appeared in all the expected places. The nightclub. CRAVE was quite intriguing along with Samson. Wondering if he will have his own story. Julia Mills has not failed to bring us yet another entertaining read!

Wonderful!!!
This book was incredible, absolutely could not put it down!!! Alaric and Ashlynn have a love so strong that most us can only dream of. The story line had me reading non-stop, the drama and suspense was amazing. Stunning read!!

Alaric MacLauren is a 2,000 yr. old Vampire who is a millionaire and owns a famous club called Crave. He's a well respected Vampire, even by the Directive, until the Thirst hits him. He starts having nightmares, unquenchable blood thirst and thinks he's going mad. There is someone trying to frame him for some horrendous murders that are taking place. The Directive clears Alaric of any suspicion of crimes but tells him someone is framing him for the murders. Alaric has found out from a Dragon friend that he's suffering the Thirst and that it won't be quenched until he finds his Bloodmate which Alaric thought was very rare. He gets her scent in his club and sees her getting into a cab and she's gone. He has to find out who she is before he loses himself completely! Then he has a suspicion of who is committing these crimes.
Ashlynn Aimsleigh is renowned and the youngest Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon in the world. She works at the Childrens Medical Center in Dallas. She has been having sexy dreams of Alaric since seeing his picture on the cover of a magazine. Alaric has been around for millennia, that's not long for a vampire, but he thinks he may be losing his sanity. Alaric is having trouble controlling his bloodlust. He dreams of going on murdering rampages. He knows the Directive will end his very long life if they learn of his impulses.
Ashlynn has agreed to go to the hottest club it town because her old friend is getting married. What Ashlynn doesn't know is that the club is owned by the vampire she is listing over. Ash knows about vampires and isn't afraid, she doesn't care that Alaric is a vampire, she just knows that he is the star of her fantasies.
I like that Julia makes good and bad of her species. I like that she made Alaric more original by giving him an ability that most books would have vamps being afraid of. Another great read.

Alaric has been around for a looooong time. Not much can destabilise his legendary control. But recently he has been slipping and his thirst is out of control. He runs an empire including some high end nightclubs. When he gets a whiff of heaven within the club one night, he almost takes the head off his best friend trying to determine where it's coming from.
Ashlynn is a bit of an over-achiever. She is the best at everything she does and she has now reached the pinnacle of her profession, cardiac surgeon working on children. She loves her job and her little charges but it doesn't leave much time for fun. But on a bachelorette night out with friends, she almost comes a cropper when a legendary vampire loses his cool! Doesn't help that its the vampire she has been drooling over for some time!
But Alaric isn't just having problems with the Thirst, he also learns that he is in the frame for some very grisly murders...never rains but it pours eh?
This hasn't been my favourite out of the series so far but it's still damned good! Vampiric politics, family feuds if you will, love in all the wrong places and the Thirst making everything a struggle. Poor Alaric! I struggled with the "Scots" voice but I am Scottish and sometimes it just makes characters sound like Groundskeeper Willie! Not as bad as some I've read but still grated I'm afraid. But if you look past that there is a great vein of humour including Ash's labelling of "Captain Crazypants".

He is also Scottish are had an amazing tattoo of a fire-breathing dragon on the left side of his body. However demons from his past are determined to collect their due. While he runs from this past while suffering from the Thirst he smells buttercups and poppies and his mind becomes clear. He now knows he needs to search everywhere for the woman who can save him - his Bloodmate. Ashlynn is a young world leading surgeon who is so busy caring for her patients that she doesn't have time for anything else. However she has had strange dreams featuring the most gorgeous man.Can he find her and can they have a HEA or will the demons of the past collect?
Lots of drama and danger in this Vampire's Thirst story. I loved the way the story built up and marched towards an explosive climax. Alaric sounds like a dream that I'm sure we all would be happy to have for ourselves. It was well told and I cold feel all the frustrations and emotions involved in the story. Another great addition to this fun series. Alaric is an old Scottish vampire, one of the 4 remaining of his clan. Plagued by dreams and nightmares of the past and a thirst so fierce he is fighting with his inner beast to keep control, he fears he is losing his mind. Ashlynn is a famous surgeon out to celebrate with her friends at a bachelorette party, who knew letting loose one night would change her life. I really enjoyed this addition to the thirst series. Both characters were interesting and likeable and I loved the part where Ash described how she knew Sampson was a vampire. The storyline was easy to read and follow, fast paced and keeps your interest right up to the end. Each time one of the big guys fall you are sure to be entertained, its fun to see these old ancient never lose control vampires join the rest of us poor mortals as they struggle with falling in love. I would love to see a story about the directive guy Clarence and the head guy Mungo ( I think that is how you spell it) I look forward to the next story in this great series.

Vampires, Dragons, Druids...and a Doctor!
This book was amazing! It not only continued the Vampire's Thirst series, but mixed in some Dragon Guards and threw some Druids and magic into the mix! Alaric, an ancient Highland warrior descended from a Druid, was turned into a vampire to save his life. He also received some help from the dragons to ease the transition, so he has some magic belonging to all three. His Thirst isn't as drawn out and explained as in previous books, but instead is illustrated through his dreams. Ashlynn is a pediatric surgeon with a strong faith in God and drive to help others. She has long been fascinated by vampires and especially Alaric, despite having never met him in person. When the two cross paths, sparks fly, leading to some heated love scenes. But it's not smooth sailing as there is a gruesome serial killer in town that has set his sights on Alaric and Ashlynn. To get their HEA, they will have to fight for love and overcome the evil plaguing them. You won't be able to put this gripping tale down!

Alaric, Vampire, Ancient with Dragon Fire in his veins. Ashlynn, beautiful, sexy doctor, their destinies entwined, throw in a really nasty bad guy, an incredible back story of love, death, redemption and you have a book to remember. We start with dreams, bad dreams, of blood and death, Alaric, already in the grip of the Thirst not knowing what is happening to him. He sees her in his dreams, her hair flowing feeling like silk, who was she that could cut through his dreams of blood. Crave, the best Club in town, Ashlynn having a great time with her bachelorette friends when she is called away, an emergency, Alaric chasing to catch her scent, Poppies and Buttercups, missing each other by a breath. The danger that follows their steps lurking in the shadows, do i have you intrigued? Good, recommending you read this book. Its good, better than good, the story jumps out of the book and draws you in. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. A***********************

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this book it was action from page one. It was fast past and erotic but not crude. Alaric is a 2500 yr old Scottish vampire who owns and runs a club called Crave. Crave caters to every dark fantasy a person can have. When he starts getting the Thirst that can’t be quenched and start having dreams and hallucinations he thinks he’s losing his mind. Until he finds out the myth of blood mates is real and his I close. Ash is a world renowned pediatric cardio thoracic surgeon. She takes a night off to go to her friends bachelorette party at Crave! While there she realizes that the vampires aren’t the creepy things of lore. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series! I highly recommend this book if you love vampires but don’t want a book that is endless sex.

This story starts with an incredible visual letting you know just how deadly Alaric can be if out of control.
With the Directive breathing down his neck over a spate of murders they’re sure Alaric is connected to he knows he had to keep this Thirst affliction that’s plaguing him well hidden but when Ashlyn his bloodmate faces death at the hand of a psychotic vampire Alaric’s control is certainly tested.
This ancient day walker may be one of the deadliest beings on the planet but it almost pales in comparison to the love and tenderness he displays when Ashlyn enters his life.
I loved the characters, I loved the story, i think I’m actually in LOVE with Alaric! it finished way to soon for me.

Fantastic Read!!!
I just love how everyone's take on the thirst comes out in different ways and this one is no different. I love how Julia gives us the history of Alaric and you cannot help but feel for the man and the internal struggles that he has to deal with. I also love how she brings her love for dragons into the story.
You cannot help but fall in love with Ash and how she cares for everyone. How she instantly had no problems with a man she had been lusting after forever. I would love to hear more of the future in upcoming books.

Alaric is pretty sure that is now going insane. Ashlynn is determined to help those she can. Instantly she calms the beast. Will Ashlynn allow herself to fall for a vampire? Will Alaric be able to discover who is after him before it is to late?
Loved Alaric and Ashlynn. Alaric is this big ancient tough vampire, but when it comes to his Bloodmate, he was willing to do whatever it took. Loved Ashlynn's heart and thirst for knowledge. Loved how both accepted the other and were willing to take the chance. Great read!

Aleric
This novella was a joy to read. Alaric is an ancient Scottish vampire who owns Club CRAVE in Dallas. As he's spiraling downward into madness from bloodlust, barely in control, the Directorate sends a new enforcer to visit about recent murders with blood drained bodies,, and he senses a human in his club who can only be his Bloodmate. This is a fast moving story that has well developed characters and vivid settings. The H/h are likable and their relationship, though instamate, makes sense, especially considering the length of the book. The villain was a surprise, however. In summary, this is a book I would enjoy rereading, one I would recommend, and which has me looking toward the next book in the series.

I just didn't like this book. I was bored most of the time, and nothing made me feel connected in any sort of way. Things were thrown in randomly to try to make sense of what was happening, but it just didn't work for me. I read this just for the heck of it as I was bored and couldn't sleep, but this wasn't even really worth the read. Some parts made me actually intrigued, thus the 2 stars, but they were few and far between. I'd say skip this one unless you don't have any other options.

Vamp with a touch of dragon
I adore reading Julia Mills books.
It’s quite a good thing when a vampire finds his mate, called a Bloodmate in this world.
I’ve read some of the others in the series, but it’s been awhile. I do hope the vamps decide to let word spread of the signs, because they really ought to know. I mean, the question of am I going crazy or is my mate near doesn’t seem to be the best method.
Anyway, I do like that she was a strong person on her own right. I like that he only strong armed her when necessary, and is good with her career.
