Ivy: A Hustler’s Weakness

Rate this book
After facing a tragedy in her life, Ivy Amelia Washington put all her time and energy into her talents. She eats, breathes and lives dancing. All she ever wanted to do was make it and become a professional dancer but could never afford to get her talents in the eyes of the right people, due to her recent financial pitfall. They always say be careful what you wish for; you just might get it. Little did Ivy know, life as she once knew it was about to change, when she meets the one guy that gave her the will to love again. While teaching pole dancing at Pole Caddy’s – a high-end studio, she caught the attention of Cincinnati’s most notorious hustler, Malachi Sheppard. He fell hard and quick for Ivy, and as their relationship progressed, she was so perfect to him. Once the fire got going between the two, it was hard to put it out.
Living the life of a hustler, Malachi never thought of having a life outside the streets, until the woman he grew to love was offered an opportunity she couldn’t refuse. Malachi was willing and ready to change his life to be with his angel, Ivy, but it’s easier said than done. Especially when a much higher power refuses to let him leave. As Ivy’s patience grows thin, she must hurry to make a decision before the offer is off the table. However, Malachi has unfinished business with the streets to tend to. When Ivy finds herself facing yet another devastating tragedy, she must make the ultimate decision that could break her or make her.

Great Debut. Loved the storyline and the character. Pace moved a little to fast but it didn't distract from the story. Ivy went through so much in life, was glad a great support system in Jamie, even though she went to far sometimes and was the cause of most of Ivy's pain. Malachi was the MAN and remained consistent throughout and wasn't your average kingpin. Ivy was up and down and pissed me off sometimes but glad everything worked in the end for everyone. The person coming for Ivy was a surprise and disappointing at the same time, because there was indication of a connection

Good read!

This was a good read. I loved Malachi. He was a great man for Ivy and just the person she needed to help her move forward after the death of Aaron. I can’t believe all the things that Ivy had to endure after going out for one night. I’m glad she and Jamie made it through despite what happened.

Moved way to fast

The story moved too fast. It was like they and were automatically in love. I don’t understand why things kept happening to Ivy. She had some bad luck. This is this Author’s first book so I can see her getting better at developing her characters and the story she is telling.

Good

This book was good! My only issue is how things happened so quickly it seemed like! Ivy really couldn't win for losing! I completely understood where she was coming from with Jamie! It was her fault. Jamie was doing to damn much as her friend! I think a lot of it was she was jealous! Malachi too was doing a bit much to me. He was a little possessive.

This is the author first book & it was so good. Ivy & Jamie crossed the line by becoming lovers. Malachi is a good man & really loves Ivy. I didn't like tht Jamie didn't tell Ivy tht Malachi was out of his coma. Can't wait to read more by this author she has gained a fan

Ivy

How can one innocent night that suppose to be fun turn into a nightmare. That is the question Ivy has asked her self along with her best friend. This was a good read come find out what happened in one night that changed a womans life.

Yass!

This book was filled with lots of drama and love. I didn’t think Ivy would catch a break, ever. Jamie was responsible for her meeting those two guys but she took all the backlash of it. I absolutely loved this book.

Good

This was a good book i think that Malachi was just a little to weak for my liking and that him and ivy's relationship is just unrealistic!

There were some good parts in the book but overall it was an alright book. It did not hold my attention & I found myself skipping pages. So much happened all at once & it was just too much. I understand wanting to have a drama filled book but this was over the top. I loved Malachi’s character but Ivy’s character irritated me. She was too up & down for me.
