Author Jarl Jensen has the courage to place before the public a novel that is not only searingly written as a story but also points out the flaws in our current society. Jarl is an inventor of multiple patented medical devices, and as a successful businessman and executive for several companies he now turns his creativity to writing this astonishingly fine book of ideas that could change our world. As he states in his Dedication, ‘This book was written with the best of intentions for my wife, my kids’ future, and the future for all of us. The world is in crisis, but there is a solution that nobody is talking about. Debt is running amok on global, national, corporate, and personal levels. Debt is making governing impossible, as spending has to be rationalized for even the most human purposes. Corporations have to lay off staff to help pay for their mounting debts. People have to cut back their spending to pay for school debt, mortgages, and credit card bills. Trade used to build peace, but now we talk about trade wars. The United States has been in an unending war against terror with no end in sight. Disappointed
I like the story line but weaving real personalities (with made up virtues) dragged the credibility of every issue discussed. Why substitute Spade for Trump, then make Spade look like the loo liberal bogeyman? A third term run will defeat any president, so the election premise based on a good idea became a bad idea. Most ideas presented have either been tried or proposed. For example, allowing social security contribution to be invested and controlled by the worker (at least part of it) was proposed by George Bush, but the Democrat controlled Congress demonized it to the point of elimination from further consideration. Republicans didn't do much better then or later. I read the book to the end but didn't enjoy how solutions were weighted so heavily liberal. A more balanced solution is election-ready; not this shutoff. The martial law? Sorry, but I won't be reading the next book in this series.

"How To Make The World A Better Place"
One man can make a difference (and this author seems to know how in this political thriller). Justin Wolfe is on a tour promoting his book, "The Big Solution." His book provides a simple economic platform to turn a corrupt system upside down. He has no intention to get himself into politics but soon he and book promoter, Evan White, are swept into a presidential campaign which will threaten their lives. An awesome, realistic, captivating story which is created by an amazing, free-thinking author. This is a story everyone one should read if we are able to improve America and the world.

This was a surprisingly good book. I say surprisingly because I usually don't read many political thrillers or political anything. But this book was interesting even to someone who is not into politics. It has a great story line, it keeps the momentum going and also makes you want to turn the page. If you have anything against trump you will also love it but if not its still good. The way this is written it does not really take aim, it just humors.
And the idea behind it is pretty interesting. Great writing, Great Storyline, Great Idea

Quirky and interesting Political novel
I liked this novel, even if the similarly named characters seemed too obvious. It will shock you if you're a free market fundamentalist, but I'd highly recommend it if you want a fun read with a genuine solution to the economic dumpster fire we currently live in.

Interesting concepts
The economic concepts introduced in this book are intriguing and the way they are presented by characters we are currently familiar with is entertaining and amusing! The ending leaves you hanging (so the author can sell his next book, I suppose)!

Refreshing.
This is a story of one man trying to change the corrupt system in his country by promoting his book.Its a story of hope but can Justin Wolfe with his new ideas change the old system philosophy.You got to read to find out.

There is a need to reform our banking and federal reserve system but there was so much economic drivel and anti capitalism in the first few chapters I couldn't continue reading.

I am still trying to figure out what this book is supposed to be ...historical fiction set in the near future, political satire based on the characterizations, just a novel or a wishful fantasy.
Some character are real life people, i.e. Jeff Bezos, Bernie Sanders, others a parody - Connie Anne Kelly (Kelly Ann Conway), Harold Spade (Donald Trump).
Whatever else it may be, it is definitely a page turner with a less than satisfying ending. Is there going to be another book or is that left to the readers imagination.

Good idea to build on
It has the potential to be a really great story but over stretches a little at times and tends to simplify a little to much. Still an enjoyable read and could almost be considered for a discussion of economic policy.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable extended parable of demand side economics. It emulates the narrative style of Dan Brown to spin a suspenseful tale around a future in which Donald Trump is busily making it legal for himself to run for a third term as president.
Meanwhile, the opposition has found a new champion of demand side economics, recognizing that the natural flow of money is from the poor bottom up to the wealthy top, just as Will Rogers noted back in the days of President Hoover.
Jensen manages to take us on a wild ride through economics, presidential politics, autonomous vehicles, New York City and it’s subterranean tunnels, ending up with a cautionary note about what could happen if our democracy fails to hold against the Trumpian assault on the free press and the rule of law.
