Another great addition to the Zodiac Series. This time it's Bastian's life on the line. What tangled mess he's exposed in the web of betrayal and truth. Can't wait to read what happens next. Be wary, this is a true cliffhanger. From here on it's just going to get more and more exciting.

Blood to blood, soul to soul… 5 VIOLET FLAMES
The flames beckoned, calling…whispering, urging me closer. her secrets…her fight, her fire. She set my Dragon on fire…she bought me back to life. I wanted to taste his mouth, and take his breath. I wanted to feel…and the Guardian made me feel. The stronger the Hound the deeper the flame… WHO LET THE HELLHOUNDS OUT?!! I want to thank them because this might possibly be my very favorite book in this series to date! And that is saying A LOT as I have been held captive in these Zodiac Dragon Guardians grip from the very beginning!! There is so much to love about him, and because I don't want to give anything away I can't explain why, but Bastian just might be my favorite Dragon yet! As for Amaris, well she is definitely one of my favorite characters to become so far!! I connected with her right away, admiring so much about her & thoroughly relishing living the story through her eyes, thoughts & emotions! I loved how & where this book takes us, totally feeding my obsessions not only with this continuous series, but with all things "dark & delicious" in all its Kim Faulks glory!! In fact, I started reading Pisces at bedtime & didn't stop until I finished...some 7+ hours later!! Then it took me another 2 days & nights to get my heart & mind calmed down, to get back to being ME...not Amaris and/or Bastian! Only then was I finally able to get my thoughts together to write this review! Yes!! I truly was (and still am!) THAT enraptured with Pisces! With every darkly beautiful story she writes, Kim proves just how extraordinarily, how astronomically, how ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY BRILLIANT she is, although that still doesn't do her & her talent justice! Every book of hers I have read (which is about 2/3s of her published work) has pulled me in so deeply that I feel like I am living it all with, through, AS the characters, making me laugh, sweat, panic, pant, desire, hunger, hurt, live & love the same way her characters do, page after page! Now we are at book 10 in this immensely captivating & enthralling Zodiac Dragon Guardians series that reads like one continuous story and STILL Kim keeps it all fresh, new, hot, raw, powerful and all-consuming without confusing or losing sight of "main" overall story arc, which BLOWS ME AWAY EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I am a very avid reader who has been reading 200+ books each & every year for the past 15-20 years (if not longer!) and I can honestly say that without a shadow of a doubt, I have NEVER EVER read anything even remotely similar to this series in terms of concept, style, depth, subject matter, sheer volume of heart-pounding, lust-inducing, character-driven, pulse-racing, full-on immersive, addictive storytelling, nor have I ever found an author who can compare to the illustrious Kim Faulks! And I mean that in ALL and EVERY of the best ways possible!! I am wholly, utterly and COMPLETELY consumed, mind, body, heart, soul, Dragon & Hellhound!

Another Master piece
Kim has done it again written a mind blowing action packed book. My advise take your time read this amazing story allow your imagination to transport you into the world of Bastian and Amaris .
Bastian is a powerful Guardian who has been bitten by a Hellhounds not any old hound but a royal hound . Bastian his dying from the hound bite he has to live for his family for the war that is coming. He only one option he has to travel to a dark and dangerous place Hell gate to find the hound who has bitten him not only find him but kill him once he cures him. But thing don't go to plan. When he reaches hell gate he is shocked that the hound he is after has just been killed by the most beauitful dangerous woman he has ever seen.
Amaris is princess a pure breed hellhound who is out for blood she has just killed the hound (her father) that has betrayed her family and people sold her sister.
She has one thing on her mind find her sister protect the people she loves. When she meets Bastian she feels a hungry a need she don't shift. Her plan is to cure him and send him on his way but when you her hound realise that Bastian is her mate her plan goes out the window.
She has to trust him because she soon realise that together they are a force of pure power . Hell has no fury when Bastian and Amaris are coming for you.
I have enjoyed reading all the Guardian books. All have captured me but this one is one of my favourite.

I enjoyed the book for the most part.. I liked the new cursed hell hound characters and hope they will have their own books some day. But after a long wait for this book (a book that actually about one of the zodiac dragons) the author left us with a major cliff hanger...The story was very dark and not very romantic, I felt the one love/sex scene in the entire book was at inappropriate time and place...I mean really... the heroines friend was just horrifically murdered in the next room...Talk about poor timing... A relationship building moment at that point would have been more appropriate since they really had not spent much time together...The story takes place in two maybe three days, most of which the hero and heroine spent apart...this reads more like a serial and there is no HEA ...

Just when you think the author cant possibly top the last story you get proved wrong! This guardian series just keeps getting better and better. The guardians have come across almost every type of magical/fantasy creature and have either made enemies or allies in this war with hell and its evil minions. Now the hell hounds are thrown into the mix and, as they say, sh** just got real! Somehow the guardians are destined to find the most unexpected mates. Bastian is no exception. The dragons just dont do meek and ordinary. They are paired with the most strongest, craziest, scariest, and bada** females of their individual species. Amaris is no exception. The author has added some more surprises to this story that would even make a nun yell out "wth?!". I am relieved to finally get an answer to a question that has been swimming around in my head since about book 4. Cant wait for the next.

Hell will be unleashed
Hell is a shit storm that piece by piece has been unleashed and what a royal shit storm it is!!!
So far I've read all ten of this series, including the freebee one, Senator and what a fantastic series it has turned out to be from the first page of Taurus until the last page of Pieces it has been a real problem with the inability to sleep. (I haven't been able to put the books down!)
As an avid reader I can read a average of 5 in a week obviously as I can't work at the moment I have little to do except heal and so I read, I've read all 11 in 3 days because they are that good!

Another great read to add this fantastic series. A thrilling read about truth, betrayal, trust, and protection. It’s an intense read but also intriguing, exciting, and very entertaining. Loved Bastian and Amaris, they are interesting characters and well suited. Such an enjoyable read and one of my favourites so far. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. This is the darkest book in the series because it mostly takes place in Hell between Bastian and Amaris. Great interaction with the characters and loved the story line even if I felt sorry for Bastian and Amaris.

Great Book

Fantastic riveting storyline.
I chose this rating because I want more ! Get the next one out fast please Kim ! Stripped to its bare bones this story runs at a pace which barely allows you to breathe. Amazingly strong and fierce characters. Cannot wait for the next Guardian story. Thanks Kim 💖🌸🎶💓🎉

What a twisted ending
The ending is not what I could have imagined. The next in this series is going to be amazing. This book was once again just mind blowing. The addition of the cursed hell hounds takes the story to another level. What Bastian uncovers as he starts to realize who Amaris is to him put a new twist on this already action packed series.

All I can say is WOW!
Again, Kim Faulks has blown my mind. The story kept me guessing and on my toes. I would give 10 stars if I could. I loved Bastian's story, he made me cry at his death. Then screamed for joy at his dragon evolving and becoming a bad mf. Now I'm left on the edge of my seat and bitting my nails in anticipation of the next story in this series.
