The Prodigy #1

The Genius

Rate this book
Wyatt Wilson has always been at the top of his grade. He's wining every quiz, debate and academic Olympic under the sun. His teachers adore him, his mates envy him and everyone generally thinks his parents are genuinely proud of him. But that's not the Wilson household for you. Meet the Wilsons, a family of seemingly generational artists. Wyatt's parents aren't interested in grades and scholarships; they're interested in art contests, exhibitions and art style. Every Wilson can create art... except for Wyatt.

As Wyatt struggles with being accepted at home, a new threat in form of a foreign exchange student threatens to take his place at the top of the class. Can Wyatt cope with losing the one thing that makes him relevant?

I think that this book is one of my romance favourites: no unnecessary drama, realistic, relatable, and super well written. I'm reading the second book of the series, The Tech Wiz, and I've fallen in love with Wyatt, Ji-Hun, Ben, Felix, and Aiyana. They are so cute, and funny, and realistic!
This story is not one of the saddest I've ever read, nor one of the happiest. It's neutral, it's a mix of the two, it has this kind of balance between the two that makes it so much... life.
I'm really happy that I've found a LGBTQ+ writer that doesn't make the stories too sad or overly dramatic, she just represent all the up's and down's that a romantic relationship has, regardless of the gender.
I really recommend this book to anyone, even the readers who aren't that much into romance. A fast, beautiful read of a well-written story.
Worth the read, for sure.

Honestly I’ve read basically all of your books and all your published prodigy series and all of you books are super amazing like your grammar and sensory words you used are just like 10/10. I love your writing style I don't really have a reason you style just stands out to me. And your book are easy to read like you don’t have to strain to understand whats going on. Your doing great.

I loved these book so much. Are you going to write another one how far the love between Wyatt and Ji-Huin goes cause I love for them to end as husband and husband with children also career oriented. Anonymous
