DNF'd at the 20% mark

Unfortunately I just couldn't find myself caring for the characters, the story, or the writing.

My major issue with it was the writing, it simply didn't fit the genre of the book. I felt like I was reading 19th century lit at times, with phrases like:
Retiring from a long days work...
My previous bar attendant of three years had left a week ago in migration to London...
'Twas the prime reason I moved...

Not what I really expect in reading a contemporary romance.

This was just not the book for me, though others might enjoy it.

Maybe I'll try to go back to it when I'd be in a mood for something like this, though I doubt it.

I absolutely loved this book. Wow. I devoured in one sitting, that's how good it is. It's nice to have a strong/clever heroine for a change. I hate it when they always portray women as very weak, that the only thing she can do is submit to a man all the time, that aint the case in real life that's why I love Axia. Girl power all the way. The bickering between Lovello and Axia is epic, believable exchange of thoughts.
Axia: Just who the hell do you think you are? Are you trying to control me?
Lovello: You see Axia, sometimes a man's got to be a man in order to keep the woman he wants.
Big sigh.
S Ann Cole is one clever writer and I am a big fan. Looking forward to reading more of her works.

I received this book as an ARC. I am usually a quick reader, but I found myself getting so frustrated with the characters that I would simply walk away.

Meet Axia Blacksille...she is born into money, bearing the Blacksille name, but is also a strong minded business woman who owns her own gym in San Francisco. She went from being a spoiled brat, to a spoiled bitch...strong mentally, physically and emotionally. Axia is a QUEEN BITCH...she craves and savors control of any kind. She is rude, obnoxious and manic. She is very impulsive, never thinks things through. After heartache from her 'submissive' Zane, she focuses on her gym, and swears off love...that is until she meets Lovello Nelson, 28y/o Billionaire Playboy. Lovello finds Axia's beauty breathtaking and makes it his mission to win her over. At first, she is very cold towards his attraction for her,but eventually she warms up to him and the sexcapades begin. Lovello's touch makes her lose control, something she has never experienced with a man, not even Zane. They have a very hot, passionate relationship, but not without drama...Axia blows the tiniest thing out of proportion, overreacting, and making the simplest gesture end in a fight, and usually steamy sex. This became tiring, for me. It seemed to drag on, over and over. Every instant, Axia wanted to throw the towel in, and give up on the relationship, but Lovello continually made it clear he wasn't going where...

Past relationships weave their way into Axia and Lovello's lives, causing even more earthquake to their pending doom. Axia's jealousy, bitchiness, and undecisive heart nearly destroys their relationship...she can't move past Zane, and her domineering ways.

Again, this book made me so irate, I had to simply walk away, several times. Axia's constant outbursts were too much...over and over...it was predictable and boring. She needs Prozac, and lots of it!! It made the book seem to drag on.

But regardless of how annoyed I was with the characters, the book was very well written, and entertaining. The sex was HOT...I loved Lovello's control over Axia, and the passion that poured from his soul for her.

I loved the many references to the Bible, throughout the book...my favorite quote from the book, is oh so true, and so sweet...it really makes you think about your own relationship, and smile : " 'At last, this one is flesh and bone of my bone, she will be called woman because she was taken from man.' I just believe that every man out there has a woman who's his. Flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone, because she was unwittingly made from his rib, just for him. And when they find each other, they'll just know." The author was very brazen to have mixed religion with a romance novel, and I liked that.

The climax and end to the book, was highly disappointing to me. I felt like the author could have really gave the characters a more deserved HEA, had she not focused so much on Axia's jacked up personality, bitchiniess and psychotic outbursts. Maybe she should have written it from Lovello's POV?

Overall,I gave it 4 stars, it's a good, long read, well written, no matter how much I wanted to bitch slap the characters!

(I won an ARC of this book in a Q&A contest on the author’s website)

If you’re like me and don’t like the typical ‘damsel in distress needs a man’ romance, then this is your kind of book. Axia Blacksille has beauty, success, wealth, a dose of bitchiness and...well everything really. Admittedly, she is not exactly the easiest person to like, but at the same time I couldn’t help liking her. After all, I was stuck in her head.
The infamous Lovello is not the type of man she is willing to take on. Besides, she wouldn’t know how to have a normal relationship if she tried.
Thanks a lot Zane.
But she soon realises that Lovello was like a drug and she was hooked. I LOVED Lovello! He is very different from the type of heroes we get these days. As in, he reads his bible and prays, Everyday! Kind of a shocker.
Not even arousal could prevent that.
"He was going to do devotion with a hard-on? I mused. I could imagine that being a very awkward moment for God."

Could Axia have a normal relationship? Especially with her ex, Zane suddenly pestering?
Honestly, I did root for Zane her ex-boyfriend, just a little bit, but as I said, Lovello is addictive.
The 'HEA' might infuriate some, I sure was for minute or two. But as I read Axia's reasons for not saying the word I would've liked to hear, I understood and thought it was realistic.

There are side characters and subplots in this story that you will actually CARE about.
I really enjoyed this book, even though I am not exactly thrilled that the author has changed her writing style completely (maybe because the formality of the previous book wasn’t received well?), however I do like the freeness and simplicity of this writing as well.

Oh, for those of you who read Mr. Mysterious in Black, there’s Natalio and Sadie’s big day to look forward to in Love Has a Name.

* * * 2.5 S T A R S * * *

This story introduces us to Axia ~ a gorgeous, independent, no non-sense, businesswoman that bows down to no one. In a chance encounter, she meets Lovello Nelson ~ a ridiculously handsome, womanizing, Internet billionaire who is always on the hunt for his next conquest. Once he sets his sights on Axia, he decides that he will stop at nothing to make sure she is the next woman in his bed. However, when Axia refuses to submit to his charms they begin this back-and-forth game of seduction to see who will be the first to surrender. When feeling of distrust, misunderstandings, and conspiring ex’s get in the way it’s hard see how these two will come out it in one piece at the end.

This book started off pretty good for me because it had such a strong female character. I loved that fact that Axia was self-assured and independent and, most of all, not afraid to show it. In the beginning, she had me rooting for her and I couldn’t wait to see what she was going to do to bring Lovello to his knees. Then, at some point in the story, her self-assurance turned into stubbornness and ultimately she just became downright cruel. It wasn’t hard to understand why Lovello fell for her in the first place but as the story continued I couldn’t understand why he kept trying so hard. After a while, the things that Axia said and did in the story just became so frustrating to me that I almost couldn’t finish reading it. By the end, I had a better understanding of why she acted the way she did but it was still a pretty frustrating read.

I thought this story had the all makings of a good romance but it fell short for me. I love the idea of a strong female character but Axia just veered off a little to far for me and stopped me from becoming fully invested her story.

I received this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

"...A heart-wrenching, yet beautiful, disaster."

The blurb couldn't have been more further from the story itself.

I HATED IT. AND I LOVED IT.
I HATED IT. AND I LOVED IT.

I have never read a book where I completely loathed and loved the heroine at the same time.
Axia is a grade-A bitch, selfish and ill-mannered. But she's also caring, passionate and headstrong.
There were times when I really want to strangle her out of hatred or love, still deciding on which of the two.

Then there's Love, oh Love.. Lovello the manwhore. He definitely puts the M in manwhore.
He's an arrogant JERK. A sexy, genius billionaire JERK. Oh did I mention he's a JERK?
I mean really, what kind of sicko would purposely hurt the woman he loves?

Lovello. That's who.
I guess it's true what they say, that when a player falls.. He falls HARD.

I loved Lovello at the beginning of the book, but hated Axia. And as the story progressed on, my feelings were reversed.

Gosh, didn't know I would feel such intense emotions while reading this, the blurb made it sound like it was fun, believe me, it was! But then.. Those two buttheads are too stubborn and prideful for their own good.

I thought my heart was ripped from my chest (okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but that's how it felt!) when Lovello "confessed" his reasons for doing the things he did. And Axia.. Axia, our stubborn bitch. That tattoo and the beautiful quote from the Bible.. *sniff sniff* I just don't know how to put unto words what I felt, and still feeling, after reading this book.

A HEART-WRENCHING, YET BEAUTIFUL, DISASTER INDEED.

5 f*ckin' stars.

Ok, first off I loved Lovello! I think this man is a bit of a pain in the backside but he is a rich powerful young and beautiful man. I loved how no matter what Axia did he was always trying to reach her and guide her. I'm also not sure how I felt about his religion being brought up so much. I felt like he was rather hypocritical in his actions.

Axia was just a witch. She had no real reason to be the absolute idiot she was. She was supposed to be strong yet she was chicken, she ran and avoided and was just plain stupid for half the book. I'm not a quitter so I finished the book but felt like the drama was just too much from about half the book. I didn't ever connect with her until the very last chapter which was frustrating.

Trevello was surprising to me other than hitting on the older ladies I liked how near the end he turns out to be the one person Axia could count on in her own messed up mind.

Well written

The story was well written but too long. It had to much back and forth with the conflict. I couldn't stand Axia it was as though she had to prove to people that she was a bitch by being one and not in a good way. I am all for female empowerment and being a strong female. However, Axia was entitled, rude, spoiled and ungrateful. I kinda wanted Love to kick her to the curb and find someone that would appreciate him. It shocked me how completely different Axia is compared to Sadie from the first book, who also is a strong female character minus being a bitch. Even though I didn't like Axia I loved the main male character he was a womanizing billionaire who changed for the right woman.

I stuck with this book hoping it would get better. It never really did for me. The ending was horrible. I absolutely hated Axia from start to finish. She was the most selfish person. She was oblivious about Trudy who is her "best friend." She doesn't think about how her actions are devastating. I never hear her apologize to anybody for her deceit and selfishness. I have to say she's the worst character ever.

Sad to say I didn´t like it at all. It pissed me of so much I had to stop reading at the start. Later I run through it but there was nothing except Trev´s confession I found intriguing.

Asia is crazy

So now I am reading about the youngest brother Lovello, who is smart, handsome, devious and loving, he meets Asia who is independent, strong, savvy and crazy as can be, Asia will keep the drama coming, the two together is explosive, though there are words that Ann Cole uses in the book baffle you, make sure to use the word search but what I like is that she utilize the bible in the mix, which have me checking out the verses that are used, some might criticize the writing but I like the drama and when they make up, how Lovello stands his ground and some of the surprises, so yes I love this second part of the Nelson brother stories

Love has name 4 crazy stars

***Arc provided for honest review***

There was something Id recently discovered about myself. A shocking discovery actually: I Axia Blacksille, was a jealous bitch. A seriously jealous bitch. An irrational jealous bitch.

Aixa Blacksille, well she’s a bitch, she gets what she wants when she wants it no matter what. She doesn’t care if you like her, she is who she is. Aixa is beautiful and rich, she was born into to money and she has made a lot of money. She doesn't need anyone, having her heart broken once already by a sick fucker, who was also her first real love, so she hardened herself and swore off love. That is until she meets Lovello Nelson, his touch makes her lose control, and Aixa never loses control. She is very jealous and has a temper that knows no bounds; I mean really, she explodes if you look at her wrong. Will she finally submit to Lovello and have true happiness or will she ultimately destroy their love by her controlling and bitchy attitude?

“Feel that? That’s what you do to me, Axia. Every single thing about you makes me burn. Achingly. Intensely. Unbearably. I burn. For you.”

Lovello “Love” Nelson is a playboy billionaire who can pretty much get anyone he wants. He meets Aixa and he must have her. He falls heads over heels for her and her take no shit attitude, but she has issues major issues. He does everything in his power to show her he loves her and he is very loyal to her. I loved Lovello's control over Axia, and the passion that poured from his soul for her. I LOVED Lovello! He is very different from the type of heroes we get these days. As in, he reads his bible and prays, every day. Kind of a shocker. Not even arousal could prevent that.

"He was going to do devotion with a hard-on? I mused. I could imagine that being a very awkward moment for God."

This book I really do not know what to say about it. The lead character drove me fucking batty, I so wanted to slap a bitch. Don’t get me wrong this book was good really good but at time I was so frustrated and I wanted to pull my hair out. Aixa and Loves relationship was reverse of what is usually out there. Instead of the guy always messing up and acting like a dick we have the queen bitch doing it. I also liked how the writer incorporated reading the bible into the love story which is something really never done. This book at swoon worthy moments and lots of great sex and three sexy brothers so really what is there not to like.

Then he buried his face in the crook of my neck and whispered, “I love you, beauts. More than bad habits. More than wealth. More than life.”

First of all, I love the Nelson brothers. I love how the brothers love each other so much. I love their domineering, stubborn and lovestrucked attitude. The brothers are the same when it comes to LOVE.

I love that their partners were strong woman who can level with them. Being a domineering Nelson, the girls are really up with their game.

I totally felt heartbroken, devastated and depressed during the break up process and post break up of Axia and Lovello. The author did a really good job on making me feel the emotions of Axia.

Both are really stubborn in giving away their feelings. I hate it when they do not confront each other of things that bothers them. Ugh! Lack of communication is the cause of all this heartbreak!!

Thank God she became pregnant! I have to thank Lovello for that too for praying so hard. God must have love him so much for giving him his miracle.

I hate the last part where Axia become stubborn at not marrying Lovello ASAP! The ending feels really incomplete because Lovello wasn't that happy of Axia's decision. Oh well, i'm going to read about them on the third book anyways, so i know i will have glimpses of what's going to happen to Axia and Lovello.

Another great hit for this series! I loved the banter between Axia and Love!!
Love Has A Name (Billionaire Brothers #2)
by S. Ann Cole
♥♥♥♥
This is book two in the series. It is the story of Axia and Lovello.
Axia Blacksville is a strong . sexy , self made woman. She owns her own fitness company and rules with an iron fist and smart, sassy mouth. She is always in control in and out of the bedroom and was taught by the best!
Axia accidentally crosses paths with Lovello Nelson. He is a cocky, womanizing, pretty boy Billionaire. Axia has no desire to become his next conquest, plaything or whatever else he has planned. Lovella finds Axia hard to resist and has now decided to pursue her to no end! Lovello and Axia have a crazy, intense power struggle to be in control. The banter between then is funny and entertaining . How can a relationship built on such electricity and power and lust not implode .

I fell in love with "Love" in the first book. His first meeting with Sadie ad I was a goner. He really should be illegal. My love for him grew in this book. He was resilient in his pursuit of Axia. The tug of war between these two was fire. She was definitely a strong-willed woman in a man's world. However, love somehow always prevails, doesn't it? In this case that is both literally and figuratively.

It was great to see how these two battled it out and how they navigated unknown territory. It was also great to see the side characters (/sigh Natalio) and also start to show more of what is to come in the next book.

This was my second time reading this book. I noticed a lot of previous reviews were frustrated at the writing style and vocabulary but for myself, it didn't bother me. This just goes to show that books touch us in different ways. I'm missing that this author has taken a sabbatical from writing because she truly is one of my favorites.

**October 2017 Review**

I didn’t remember this book so I decided to read it again... As I read some part I could remember and others I totally forgot.. I remember the back and forth between Love and Axia but I didn’t remember all the fighting... Axia was a very stubborn/head strong woman... At times it was too much... Then when Love went on this whole binder after they semi ended things it was out of control!! I don’t know how these two function... Wasn’t feeling the way this book ended, I don’t remember it just ending that way...

At first i almost did not finish the book, at chapter one. I forced myself to read past the chapter and I was hooked. The story line sucked me in and I loved the twists and turn of the story.
I fell completely in love with the characters and got completely emotionally involved in the book. And yep, I read it throughout the night because I did not want to be disturbed by anyone or anything.
Was worth every penny. Best book I have read in the last two months.
