Laurel Young writes a sexy paranormal with ENTANGLED DESTINY. Desiree is a human who can detect the otherworldly creatures that live among us. What makes her a talented and highly paid private detective is her synesthesic ability to detect emotions by smell. She’s hired to investigate a series of murders and ends up over her head. Fortunately, Desire has someone watching her back, Aesh, the Dark Angel of Justice. Desiree is his assignment. If he fails—if she dies or he makes the monumental mistake of falling in love with her—he blows his last chance at proving himself worthy of a seat beside his father, the Angel Gabriel himself. It took me a while to get used to Young’s unusual use of third person present, but the read is fast paced and tension filled. Paranormal lovers will dig this one. Solid 4.5
