The whole idea of the book; the name, the format the process of attaching a letter of the alphabet to each poem and then amalgamating each poem to the next to create the whole book and love journey. It felt like riding a roller coaster. It gets the reader to experience and share a flux of emotions while going through the life journey of the author with his partner. The reader gets a feel of the sense of euphoria, the loneliness, the insecurities, the longing. It's a book that I could relate to completely but yet gives a perspective of a very unique experience of love and how people can seen so differently as a couple when contrasted to how they are seen as an individual. In all honesty a 30 minute read through this book makes me feel like I got to know the author on a personal level. Seriously captivatingly brilliant!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. ‘The A to Z of You and Me’ is a poetry book of love dedicated to the poet’s boyfriend. The book tracks their relationship and all the reasons why the poet is in love with his partner.

‘Shout my name from the rooftops just like I call for yours at the middle of a lonely night.’

I believe this must be a very special book for Jeremy’s partner and the book is full of romance and compassion. Jeremy’s style of poetry reads a lot like song lyrics in the terms of address and some of the rhyming structures. I would have liked to see more sophistication in the imagery or ideas used – each love and each relationship is unique and I wanted to see some of this originality come out of the work.

This book is awesome!
The author expressed his feelings of love beautifully through these poems.
I read the book twice because this book deserves a second read.
I like the way poems are presented in this one. I didn't feel bored even for a second. It's a quick read.

My favorite poems: Ring, Silence, Urge, Wings, X-ray, July, Distance and Perfect.

Yes, it's perfect and a must read!

The A to Z of You and Me is a collection of poems that uses the catalyst of the alphabet as a declaration of love. Each letter represents a phase of the relationship or an emotion the poet experiences.

Really I think the concept behind the poetry is very lovely. I identified with many of the poet's sentiments, such as:

"The physical distance between us/is one of the biggest obstacles/that I have ever faced"

or

"tears fall off my face/every time I am afraid/of saying that I love you"

The poems "Needy", "Urge", and "Magical" were the favorites, because I can relate to having my life SO impacted by certain loved ones; not just my husband, but people I love in completely unique, unconditional ways that are solely theirs. It's a startling thing: to love someone to the point of needing them in your life, or to go on loving them regardless if that love is returned. Anyway, this book felt intimate, vulnerable, and there are the makings of a good poet here.

The topics of rhythm and rhyme scheme are subjective to personal tastes. I found the consistency of these devices a bit of a hiccup, but that's solely based on preference and not a reflection on the poet in any way. I also enjoyed the poems that held narrative depth more than the declarative poems, which could tend to feel a bit standard after a while. Poetry requires a lot of bravery; a lot of naming what is and being courageous enough to name it. I don't know that I'm fully there yet as a writer, but I would especially encourage poets to have the strength to "go there" in their work.

**I received a free copy of this in exchange for an honest review** Thank you for letting me read/review your work!!

I couldn't put this down once I got started, and that is saying a lot for someone who doesn't usually "get" poetry.

"Forgetful" and "Needy" were, for me, the standouts in this collection.
