Book 5 - Deceased and Desist A Harley and Davidson Mystery
Texas summers are hot. Really hot. Agatha Harley and Hank Davidson have been through one heck of a year. She’s hot off the heels of a successful book tour, and Hank’s been offered a high-profile crime consulting position back East.
Things have changed, but despite all their success, something isn't quite right. When Hank and Agatha decide to head to Montana in search of cooler weather, less adventure, and a little R&R, things really start to heat up.
A killer Hank once put away has escaped and is hiding in Glacier National Park. It turns out a killer on the loose is a real wet blanket for their romantic camping trip. Agatha and Hank aren’t sure what they’ve gotten themselves into, but they’ve been through enough to know they’re better together.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS: The dynamic husband and wife writing duo of Liliana Hart and Scott Silverii combine their love of adventure and storytelling into the Harley and Davidson Mystery Series. While they've discussed a team writing effort for years, when it came time to actually develop their characters, both admit to being stumped.
Why not write us they laughed.
Liliana, a 24-time NY Times and USA Today bestseller and author of over 52 titles, enjoys this labor of love with her husband. Scott, a former Chief of Police and law enforcement professional has over 25 years of banging down doors and busting bad guys. An author of 10 titles, he says this by far is his favorite mission.
Together, they have created a lovable tandem of adventure seeking, mystery-solving heroes that you'll get to know and love. You might even catch a glimpse of Liliana and Scott in each story. Well, probably much more than a glimpse.
Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).
Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller—a dazzling adventure—where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.
Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.
Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.
If the revelations about Hanks past in a previous book made for a touching emotional marker in Hank and Agatha’s relationship, then this book and what it reveals about Agathas trauma is just heartbreaking. I loved this book, and how it not only brought together H&A, but also other characters. Full of highs and lows, I think this is my favourite of all the books in the series so far.
This was the 5th book in the Harley and Davidson series. Hank and Aggie aren't sure where their relationship is going. They aren't even sure they have a relationship beyond working together. Aggie's past comes back to stalk her and she needs Hank, Coil and all the law enforcement personnel she has met to keep her safe. Ultimately it's up to Aggie to put an end to her years of fear.
I hope there are more of these short mysteries to come.
These are quick, fast paced reads. Agatha is facing the ultimate test, the reappearance of a terror from her past. Someone has been stalking her from afar but now wants to end the game. With her budding relationship with Hank on the Rocks, Coil, Hank, Will and the gang gather to protect Agatha and end the threat once and for all
I absolutely love this series and the characters. Agatha and Hank are terrific, but so are their friends. I look forward to more mysteries from Liliana Hart and Scott Silverii from Rusty Gun, Texas.
Wow that was a thrilling conclusion to the first round of Aggie and Hank mysteries just wow what a thrill ride, great plot twists, awesome mystery thrills and some unfortunate spills I can't wait for more.
This is my favorite book in this series so far. Agatha’s past comes back to haunt her and this causes problems for lots of people. The authors kept my attention in such a way that I couldn’t put the book down.
Agatha's stalker is back, and he doesn't care who he hurts, or who he uses, to get to her again. While all this is going on Agatha and Hank are at a cross roads regarding their relationship. Agatha has some concerns that she voices to Hank, and it cools everything down. That, however, doesn't stop Hank from doing whatever he can to protect her from her college professor stalker.
It's a bittersweet feeling to have caught up with the Harley and Davison series. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of them, but now I have to wait patiently for book #6.
OMG. Poor Rusty Gun is going to be left reeling when a popular waitress is left dead. Was it her online lover who killed her? Did she stumble on to someone else's secret?
Agatha's stalker has returned and he is determined to make Agatha pay. But Agatha may have burnt he r bridges with Hank. She threw some major accusations his way and he can't believe that she cannot see the real him.
The 2nd murder just about broke my heart! Lots of tragedy and mistrust in Rusty Gun. I'm not sure how they will recover!
Penny is brutally killed, a boyfriend she said she had met on line. They have Agatha look at her computer, and they had been chatting for a year, The questions he asks are about her. Is this the nightmare from her past. Hank and her have been taking a break, her words hurt him. Yet, she was honest in asking, and sleep has been missing because of what took place. It will take Hank and law enforcement to keep her safe, if he comes. Friends, secrets from the past, good moving plot, that draws you in from the beginning.
This book gives us more of Agatha’s past and deals with the relationship between Hank and Agatha which is hyper cranked up thanks to the case they are working on.
The story and case are attention grabbing but the end when we get to the climactic moment is a TSTL moment. Lots of details as to how the killer is able to accomplish what he does are left out and Hank never has to explain how he comes to figure out who one of the bad guys is. Lots of things are glossed over which is becoming a pattern in this series and which is very out of character for Hart’s writing.
I like the characters in this series, but OMG this had to be the worst procedural by this author, so far! Agatha’s professor stalker has become so competent in prison that he is a skilled “ghost”? Agatha gets shot at by a sniper outside the restaurant so they decide to take her to a civilians home so those protecting her can eat and get some rest, leaving exhausted personnel outside to stand guard and not call in the FBI. Then they let said civilian step in front-of a window (only to be shot and killed) when there is a sniper on the loose. Dumb, dumb, dumb!
I'm Just loving this Series, it's intense, lots of emotions in this one. Agatha comes face to face with her past, but will she survive, will she be strong enough to fight her past demons, her stacker. People she loves gets killed in the process protecting her. Must read, I cannot wait will happen next.
I love being surprised by the adventures you can experience in the small town of Rusty Gun, TX. This story shares the secret of Agatha I've wanted to know since the beginning, along with some sorrow. I love that the writing gives you the feeling of being in the middle of police operations to capture dangerous criminals. I highly recommend this series!
When i read this book, the Goodreads synopsis was incorrect.
Hank and Agatha have a small fight. But nothing compares to the fight of Agatha's life. She because a recluse because of a stalker during college that should still be in jail. But he isn't. Two innocent lives are taken and the hunt is on. This is no cold case.
What a rush! After the first chapter I was too afraid to keep on reading... So much suspense building up along with tension between our main characters AND then the deaths! That second one, was just awful. I can wait for the next book, pity 30 April 2019 is so far away...
Aggie is forced to make peace with her pass and learns a little bit more about Hank when she is forced to take a violent action. Sad but compelling and very human.
SHEILA!!!! I really like these stories. I am disappointed that they don’t keep the characters backstory right each book. It’s a pet peeve of mine in book series.
‘Deceased and Desist,’ is book five in the Harley and Davidson Mystery series. It was an unexpected and page-turning read. We revisit Agatha’s tragic past and finally see the demons she’s had to battle, when the past comes calling. It’s intense and heartbreaking... and utterly captivating!
