Rate this book
In the aftermath of the pandemic, humanity is on the cusp of extinction as the mutant undead sweep throughout the world. The deadly virus has created a new predator that is far more intelligent and ruthless than anything mankind has ever faced. And the threat from the alphas is increasing as they evolve. Epidemiologist Selene Munroe comes up with a daring solution for gaining a foothold against the deadly virus, but will it be enough to save the human race before it's too late? On another front, CIA operative Will Reisner and his team need to join forces with an unlikely ally to prevent another cyber-attack that could thrust the entire country into the dark ages. Battling legions of parasite-ridden creatures to get to their objective, Reisner finds his resolve stretched to the limit. Loyalties are tested and he must come to grips with a shocking reality that could jeopardize his team's already uncertain future.

Love!!! Best of the best!

Without a doubt, one of the best series in the genre today. Which genre? Well, apocalypse for sure. Zombie - not at all. But required reading for all of us in the “zom-poc” following. It’s .... intelligent zombie apocalypse fiction. Lol Except super gross at the same time.
What I absolutely detest, like nails on a chalkboard, and actually looked ahead in other volumes to see how fast or IF it would resolve - is something I can’t talk about here without spoiling the story. Haha. What I can say, however, is it has to do with injustice and people using others for their own gain. I know, shocking occurrence, right?? Specifically, it involves the integrity of our hero. I just hope this part of the plot is nipped in the bud quickly. I had hope for a second there - the “trouble maker” came thiiisss close to being blown up. Ahhhh, such is fiction.
I’m over the moon happy about how the Chinese bunker situation turned out. Thus far at least. Far too often people like that are snuffed right out. Bam! Never living on .... to suffer any consequences of their choices/actions.
Thrilled I came across this series and this author! Now let’s see what the next chapter of the story has in store ......

Kudzu

Kudzu is a vine here in Georgia that grows very thick, seemingly without need of seeds, water, or care of any kind. You can't get through the stuff. It attaches to tree branches, buildings, and everything in between. While a really great read, Kudzu is what I think of in regards to describing this book. I'm addition to not even being close to being "another zombie book", the information that is included covers medical, military and everything in between. It's heavy and thick with information, causing me to need to go back several times and re-read pages trying to figure out what just happened. That is highly unusual for me. Still though, they are a really great read and is recommend them to anyone.

THE SUPER UP ZOMBIES ARE AT IT AGAIN THEY ARE...

Hello, this story is quite interesting. It is very unique in it's origination theory. The action is at least somewhat believable and great to read. The characters are great. Mr. Sawyer does a wonderful job of telling the story. Thanks.

After liking the first book. I decided to give this second a chance. I liked it, yet not enough to continue the series at this moment. Even with the virtual voice I enjoyed the reading. I have heard worse. This voice was closer to a human except for certain words. The story has different branches starting to come together, still it is a lot that I can’t commit to right now.

Good story

Liked the complications to the main story from secondary problems with China, and US military. Made it seem more believable to me. Not your "run of the mill" zombie pandemic book.

This book was also a huge different take on Zombie Apocalypse and we got to learn mor about characters: some good and some bad. This book was basically non-stop action and you keep pulling for the good guys, no matter where they are. I can’t begin to imagine what book 3 will be like.

I like this series better than the typical zombie series. The worms and development of organized zombies is a fun concept. With the addition of the Chinese attacking it mak3s for fun on multiple levels
