Big, tough aliens falling for human woman is one of those tropes I ADORE. I enjoy watching men who have no intention of falling for the women who are so unlike women on their own planet end up hopelessly tangled up in relationships with them.
Savannah and Ozmyx have their share of difficulties. Mostly in that Ozmyx is determined to NOT fall into the trap of mating one of the humans like his warrior brothers have. Which means Savannah spends most of her time on Attala with a surly, gruff warrior she's sure doesn't like her. Until, of course, Savannah's life if threatened and Ozmyx realizes he could be letting his greatest treasure go without even trying.
A few secrets are uncovered, the crew have to face that they're going to need to do something radical to get one of their own back, and a surprise announcement or two are made. Considering Earth needs the mineral the crew has found to keep from dying, I'm wondering how things are going to play out in the final book.

Sci-Fi romance is one of my favorites but it's rarely well done. Mira does a great job with this fun storyline. The third book wasn't my favoritebut the previous two were good so I was determined to stick with it. So glad I did. Book 4 was adorable.
It also answers some questions we'd all had from the beginning. The next is apparently the last so I'm hoping for clear resolution on the mission with that.
If you're looking for something fun/easy to read give Mira a try!

Ozmyx, second-in-command of the elite Attalan Guard and Savannah’s alien bodyguard, feels the hairs on his neck rise and spots red eyes peering at him. He whispers a warning to his friends who are cutting down a tree for firewood. At the sound of a growl to his right, he slowly pulls out his knife. They are surrounded and he has no way to warn the human splashing in the water of the hot springs without hastening the attack. Their bites are venomous and one bite would easily bring down their prey. Ozmyx kills the creature that attacked him and ran to Savannah to help her escape from the 3 beasts circling the pool. But as he focuses on them, one jumps on him from behind and bites his neck. Now he must defeat them before he passes out, although the self-healing Attalans can survive the bites. He tells the frightened Savannah to dress quickly so they can get out of there.
The others load the trees onto the snow vehicle as they prepare to leave before dark and more creatures arrive. They return to the fortress, but Ozmyx makes an odd sound, and Savannah sees that the bite wound is still unhealed. As a medic, she wants to treat it; but he shrugs her off and walks away. Savannah is homesick for Earth and wants to return. They acquired the Eclaydian for Earth and they need to get Natalie, recovering from an injury, back with them so they can leave to return home. She can’t understand all the romantic distractions the others have allowed themselves with the aliens.
Ozmyx is told to accompany Savannah as she needs to get to the lab in the ship to test samples. On the way, the Salthu attack. Ozmyx sustains another injury rather than let Savannah fall into a hole that opened up to a cave below. Her safety is becoming more important to him. More adventures are coming. Can Savannah survive in the harsh environment, with Ozmyx unconscious and not healing from multiple wounds?
This was a wonderful book, full of adventure and with characters who are strong, loyal, brave, and admirable. The author built a beautiful world, despite the cold and ice. The reader can easily envision the trees, the strange and dangerous wildlife, the inhabitants, and the environment they must survive. Seriously, this story was amazing and I loved every second of it!! Don’t miss out – this is a wonderful adventure! But keep a blanket handy – it does get rather chilly along the way!

Savannah💋💉 is the medic for the five human women who landed on the planet 🌎 Attala to search for the mineral Eclaydian, they need to take back to 🌎 earth to save the 🌞Sun.
She goes out with a group of Attala Guards🐺 to collect some firewood on the frozen planet. There are Oasis where 🔥hot springs flow, that have trees 🌳 and plants, and vicious animals. Savannah💋💉 wants to collect some plants to analyze for possible 🚑medical use.
Ozmyx🐺🍆🌋🔪🔫🔥 is assigned to the group of warriors getting the wood, but he finds himself saving Savannah💋💉 when the group is attacked by a pack of Ihaxn. Ozmyx🐺🍆🌋🔪🔫🔥 is bitten by the poisonous fangs of one of the creatures.
The leader of the guards, Mallyk🐺🔪🔫, makes sure to assign Ozmyx🐺🍆🌋🔪🔫🔥 to Savannah💋💉 again when she requests to take the plants she gathered to the ship for testing in the lab.
Savannah💋💉 is wondering why.
One the way to the ship they are attacked, Ozmyx🐺🍆🌋🔪🔫🔥 is wounded again and then they fall into an occupied cave. It's occupied by Attalan🐺 wanderers or dissidents, they are anti government laws.
One of the Wanderers is a doctor, Edek🐺💉 , and heals Ozmyx🐺🍆🌋🔪🔫 with the healing salve and promises to show Savannah💋💉 how to make it.
Ozmyx🐺🍆🌋 is a super stud for Savannah💋💉. He is like a super man🐺🔪🔫, a super human. In the frozen wastelands he is everything to Savannah💋💉. They become soulmates, lovers, each other's everything.

Hot romance, cold planet, great story
My thanks to author Mia Maxwell for the ARC of this book. The opinion expressed in this voluntary review is mine alone. I liked Her Alien Warrior, the 4th in the Guards of Attala series. It's a great extension of the series, and the story of the ship's doctor, Savannah. When the all-woman human mission to save Earth's sun crashed on Attala, they were rescued by the Attalan Guards. One by one, members of the mission have fallen in love with their rescuers, and as they live and work together to complete the mission, huge cracks have appeared inn the seemingly perfect Attalan way of life. The Prime Minister in the City may not be on the up-and-up, the Guards have been deceived as to their true origins and purpose, and a quiet revolution may be brewing. Savannah is lonely and longing for home, her guardian Ozmyx is Mr. GrumpyPants himself, and there's no real need for her medical skills at this point in the mission. Proximity breeds attraction between Ozmyx and Savannah, but the path to love is full of perils - dangerous to the body, and the heart! I don't do spoilers, but there's a very hopeful HFN to Savannah's alien romance, and the promise of more adventures and love stories to come before the mission on Attala is complete. Savannah is a likable heroine, quietly courageous in her approach to the hardships of Attala and her prickly-as-a-cactus lover. Ozmyx is almost typically human male, in that he doesn't know what he's getting into with Savannah, he doesn't like feeling out of control, and the last thing he wants to do is talk about it - but he comes around right in the end. Nicely balanced romance with sex and rebellion to fuel the drama - this is good stuff.

Savannah is suffering for homesickness. With three of her fellow crew members pairing up with an Attalans, Savannah is also suffering from loneliness. Ozmyx is the second-in-command and takes his responsibility seriously, even if that responsibility is keeping the human doctor safe. A trip to gather med supplies turns dangerous for Savannah and Ozmyx. Beliefs will be tested and feelings discovered. When Savannah's life is at stake, will Ozmyx be able to put everything he has been led to believe to the side and ask for help from an "enemy"? This was a very enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series.

I've really enjoyed this entire series so this one was no different. Savannah being the group dr u think that she's not going to get any real duties or anything but it's nice to know that the big tough alien males aren't completely invincible. so when she has to dr the grumpy Ozmyx it gets quite interesting. also I was very interested to learn more about the wanderers and the previous guard Addox that left to be with a female. then there were the questions being answered about the Salthu that were raised earlier in the series.. so yeah.. lots and lots of things get addressed in this one and that doesn't even include the steamy scenes!.. those are awesome by the way. so I definitely still recommend this series but make sure you read them in order so you understand what's going on.

Another good story about the Attala guards and the human girls that have arrived to save earth. This time it is Savannah's story and how she comes to recognize her love for Ozmyx, second in command. I found their story to be funny while full of danger and lots of snow. It was very interesting to learn some background about the Attala Guard that they did not even know. Cannot wait to see what happens next as the guard learn more of their history and make important alliances for their survival. I chose to review the story because I liked the plot, writing and enjoyed being entertained as I read it in one sitting.

Omg! So much to absorb from this one. It might be my favorite of the four. Maybe because I aspire to be a doctor and it was nice to see a heroine with that job...but Ozmyx... Definitely grew on me. Went from a huge jerk to a sweet guy. I was pretty frustrated with him, but he had his reasons. Also side note, Edek is pretty awesome. In fact, I like all of the wanderers. This book just amped up my anticipation for the next one. Hopefully not final one? I’ll be on the look out for it!

Another great addition to the The Guards of Attala. I loved the love-hate relationship things that Savannah had going with Ozmyx but I also like that she also put Ozmyx in his place always called him out when he was being a jerk. Overall enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

More wonderful world building
This story in the series focusses on Savannah, and in some ways takes a bit of a break from the drive and pressure to complete the primary mission, instead shifting attention to the doctor who is almost disappointed everyone stays healthy.
Her match has an interesting backstory and perspective, exposed more of the beliefs (perhaps assumptions is a better word) of the locals, and provides some great avenues for us to explore this world.

Good book. Great story. Two very different people and their trials and tribulations of life. It is exciting, suspenseful, mysterious and so much more. Coming into this series in book 4 I am sure I need a little more information but this is very enjoyable. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Savannah is the doctor and while out they are stacked ozmyx is one of her guards .This story they fight beast ext and get answers to questions on their people do great to find out more about these aliens .awsome.

This one was even better than the last one! Lots of interesting things happen to Savannah and Ozmyx that kept me on the edge of my seat. They also find out some stuff that could drastically change things for all of them. Mira Maxwell has entertained me so well with this series so far, I can't wait to see what comes next for all the characters. *I as given an ARC for an honest review.*

Another Great Hit
Enjoyed the series and once you start reading; you won't be able to put them down. They are steamy, fast paced, and I can't wait to read the next one. At least, I hope there is one more book about, Natalie.

Great novels
I've read all the books to this series. Very romantic,Makes you want your Very own ALIEN! Each book is great on its own different and special but can be read on it's own but I'd advise you not to.

This is a fun book which goes well with the others in this series, although I find Savannah to be the least likeable so far of the women.
