Knights Without Kings

Rate this book
Elymiah Farnesse, an Aivaterran apprentice, is on the verge of completing the last trial to become a Knight-Captain of the Holy Silver Angels Platoon, the highest honour in the land. Alongside her mentor, Bertrand, Elymiah tracked down the roost of a young wyvern, and she will pass her final trial only if she can kill the dragonling. Bendrick Greystonne, also known as the Rovulgad Reaper, once a Weserithian lieutenant knight in King Ayland’s wars, is now a retired sword instructor and alchemist in the Athenaeum. He, alongside his daughter, Sieglinde, live a simple life of learning and improvement. War is an ugly memory for Bendrick, but perhaps teaching peace through discipline may help future generations avoid bloodshed. For a time, all is well, until Queen Gwendylyyn LaFoyelle makes a dangerous move against her king, causing the balance of the world to shift and stir. Yet again, war becomes a word of fear. Countries spy, scheme, and plot whilst kings fall to rusted sword and hidden dagger. Yet, in the wake of human affairs, a darkness gathers in the southernmost reaches of The Khahadran. Rumours abound of the daemon horde, known as the Fog, returning once more to the realm. In the end, it will truly be a world of Knights without Kings.

What a ride. I loved this so much. This gave me the reading experience that The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie gave me and I didn't want it to end. I want book two, yesterday.

My first book. It was a fun journey and trust me I have learned a lot from this experience. Not Shakespeare but a hilarious time xD
