Wow I really enjoyed this story. That f$%& boy Taurean made me sick!! He was like a real gigglo. I don't see how Marina put up with his shish... Glad she found somebody that was good for her...

Very good read
Marina was an Army wife who was having a hard time getting help from her husband's sargents and captain for the abuse she had to deal within her relationship. On top of abuse, she had to deal with infidelity and straight up disrespect. She was really pissing me off though. She wanted so badly to end it with him and kept screaming she wanted a divorce but everytime a new female would approach her, she became angry. I mean like why you even care what he do? He wasn't even worth the energy. All in all this was a straight little read.

In THE DEVIL WEARS DOG TAGS we meet Marina and Taurean. In the beginning they’re dating and she already has two girls and he a son from previous relationships. Things seem great at the start as they usually do and it’s not until @dsix_marinaj is really in love that Taurean’s horns start to show. After giving birth to her third child they tie the knot quickly at city hall. At this point you can already tell this is a bad idea & it’s still early in the story. I was feeling like Marina should’ve had a best friend she could talk to about the things she was going through. It seems her husband wasn’t mature or responsible yet & her mom had me confused about her position on things. Taurean straight up lied about everything, admitted to nothing, had women everywhere & to top it off was physically abusive. While he ran around doing as he pleased he hated when Marina finally got the courage to go out & have some fun of her own. I was happy when she decided she’d had enough of the torture & really walked away although by that time she had six kids. Most of us have been through some things but this treatment will break anyone down. To endure this & stay strong for her kids must’ve been hell. It had to take so much courage to be able to recall these traumatic events & put them in a book for the world to read. ~LEE~

Okay. I legit stayed up to read this allllllll day. Why?! Couldn’t put it down. I felt her pain in more than enough ways. I know what it felt like to hold on and try to uphold a promise. Marina Chestnut...... you did that! Often times I had to laugh at the stupidity that we as women go through but can resonate with. We put that “oh I love him” in there and somehow it’s supposed to make everything better. It doesn’t. And we’re not doing anything but fooling ourselves! I absolutely love that you told your story! I absolutely love even more that you got your happy ending! No one, male or female, deserves to be beaten, battered or abused! Thank you for being one woman who chose to stand up and do something and you put those babies first! I’m so glad you found happiness at the end of it all! This was a heartbreaking story but the end is what made it great!! You go girl!!!!!!

Omg this book was sooooo good. The things Marina went through because of her tried ass husband Taurean put her through. This book kept my attention because everyone knows someone this book was about. All the trials and tribulations this young lady went through but God she still stand strong and was a damn good mother to her children. Lord I felt so bad for her it broke my heart that I wanted to reach through the book and best Taurean ass myself. Thank God she found happiness and now her and the children can leave in peace. God works in mysterious ways just wait on him baby and he will lead you in the right direction. I love this book it’s highly recommend to be read.

Wow
This book was fast paced and gripping. Marina went through so much with her husband - enough to break her down - but she still managed to keep her children first. I loved how she loved those babies. But love can put a stronghold on a person so I'm glad she finally realized her husband would never change. He was truly a monster, doing all kinds of wrong and flipping the blame on her. I can't imagine living through this and having the encourage to re-live it through writing; surely she must've cried at every page. Well done.

This book had my emotions flowing. I am glad you decided to share your story with us. This happens to so many women and some men to and you were one of the lucky ones. Many don’t make it out of the abused relationship. Like you said if they did it once they’ll do it again. Glad you had your happy ending bae

Such a awesome book
This book was so awesome and so so heartfelt. It touched my heart and I felt bad for Marina. I wanted to windmill and kick Taurean tail. I'm glad everything worked out. Marina is such a inspiration to me and exactly one of my favs. Thank u for telling your story!!!!!

Speechless
Marina went through hell and back. She really had a terrible husband sorry excuse of a man.. I've never know military mean to beat there wives. This book was crazy, but I loved it.

Your story is bomb it showed how a woman can go through so much but in the end of all the pain it will be happiness, I loved how you was ok with telling how you went back went no shame because it’s real woman mess up and except stuff from men but we’re only human

A Page Turner
This book Drew me in from the beginning and kept me in it til the end.
What a story.
No way would I have put up with the stuff she did.
I'm so glad it didn't end with her losing her life.

Toxic
Wow what a roller coaster ride of a story. I’m so happy Marina got out of that toxic situation, her and her babies. I was on the edge of my seat everytime she got the strength to leave and wanted to cry every time she got reeled back in. Smooth story, clean read!

This book shows exactly how some women are treated when a man had a career and people want to protect him. This makes it even more difficult to get out of a situation when you feel alone. Family can sometimes make things worse.

Thank you for sharing a light on Domestic violence. It's always easy for someone to say what they wouldn't do. I have to give it to Marina she always spoke up even if she did not get the help she needed for her and her kids when she reached out.

Good Read
A good read that is well written with a steady flow. Domestic violence is real and so many women don't make it out with their lives. This author has done a great job telling a story of survival that definitely needs to be read by all women.

This was a good read. Taurean was definitely the devil and he put Maruna through hell. it took a lot but she got her happy ending.

I enjoyed this book. It was heartfelt about an abusive relationship between Marina and Taurean. Marina with through so much with Taurean from him cheating, degrading her and physical abuse. He was something else a real coward of a man. Marina tried her best to with stand the troubles of her marriage until she had enough.
