As a child, Jennifer Michael dreamed of being an author. Life and adulting eventually pushed that dream down to a mere fantasy, which was where it stayed for years. Then, through a stroke of luck and a Kindle, she found the indie romance world, and the dream that was long ago deemed unattainable became a reality. Writing fulfills pieces of her she lost long ago.

Jennifer writes stories that range from sweet and sultry to dark and daring. Behind her computer, she’s constantly dreaming up where she’ll go, what new characters she’ll meet along the way, and what genre she will concur next.

From her house in southwest Florida, she spends far too much time wishing she were at the beach with a good book. She’s an avid reader of fiction, but is a huge fan of gritty stories with deep emotion or dark twisty plot twists. She’s also known to indulge in guilty pleasure television shows. She gets sucked into the world of characters from all mediums. She loves to hear from her readers so make sure to check her out on social media.

Noah McKenzie was abandoned by her mom when she was six years old, grew up in an orphanage and lived a shelter life. Until she reached 18 and for the first time, had finally found herself outside Golden Heights home and moved to Florida and met her new roommates, basically her only friends right now - Madison and Benny. Living with them kinda  felt awkward at first, both characters had their own intrinsic and distinctive personalities, but as the days passed, they got along well.

But of course, Noah needed a job to make ends meet, and to make sure that the things on her Orbit List would be fulfilled. Luckily, the job landed on her lap immediately. Errr, actually, she wanted to land on her new boss's lap as soon as their eyes met. Now, if only her boss could stop smoldering his eyes and flexing his muscles, maybe she could concentrate on her new job... Or not. And if only Brazen Hart wasn't having secrets of his own. A secret that involved the one person who didn't seem happy with Brazen's decision of hiring Noah.. And that's his partner, Sunday, a beautiful woman running away from a horrendous mistake.

This was heartrendingly beautiful.. I thought this was just another insta-love romance about an employee and her boss, but as I delved further, I discovered that it was so much more.. I also thought that this was just another love triangle, but I was hugely mistaken. It was much much more!  Had me crying and sniffing about five times and my chest tightened after all those drama and heartaches and revelations. The characters were bold enough to face their fears, conquer tragedies and and even cried their hearts out in those trying times.

Noah, Brazen and Sunday... Actually, I shouldn't be including Sunday in this beautiful romance, but her presence is very much detrimental and important to Noah and Brazen. Without Sunday, this story would have been crippled. So yes, I so love these characters.  Three characters who dented my heart and definitely left a mark. Three characters you need to meet and understand. Three characters who deserved to be loved. Jennifer Michael got an instant fan from me, and an instant thumbs up, too!

Bold starts out with Noah Mackenzie being abandoned by her mother. Fast forward to her at 18, as she makes the decision to live her life to the fullest. And that starts with going to a new state, moving in with new roommates, and finding a new job. This is where she meets the yummy Brazen Hale, as she starts to work for his company. Brazen has a big heart, is a hard worker, which has gotten him to where he is today, owning his own business with his best friend. But, for the first time in a long time, he wants a woman, Noah, however the timing is off, so he has to resist her. However, she's a temptation that won't be denied. Bold was a story that instantly hijacked my attention cover to cover, and I didn't move until I finished every last word. I fell in love with Noah and Brazen, from the beginning. Not to mention, Sunday, and Noah's roommates, who added depth, more emotion, and humor to this amazing story. While Noah & Brazen were the romance, Sunday added the angst with a realistic factor that brought me to my knees. I was already a fan of Jennifer Michael's talent, but her brilliant showing in Bold has her added to my addiction list, as I never saw this story coming. So I'm just going to conclude this fan girl gush fest with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO BOLD TO ALL!

This is a definite 180 in writing style for Jennifer Michael. Normally her books are a twistingly wonderful dark romance filled. This book has some dark moments but nothing like what we normally see in Jennifer’s work. Here the darkness is more something that keeps the characters from truly living because it harms the present and future. The darkness is more of a danger than truly dark. Even though this is not a dark romance, this writing style of sweet romance with a little angst and drama in the fold is one Ms. Michael does hit with vigor and is spot on for her as well. I only ask that Ms. Michael continues to occasionally write those dark romances that knock us off our butt and has us hurling the book and apologizing for doing that at the same time.
We have three main characters and all three are nothing alike. Sunday is the one with the darkness in her world. She is a strong and loyal friend. I love how she takes Noah under her and helps her with Brazen. When Sunday first meets Noah she is skeptical but she sees her with Brazen and takes it upon herself to get those two together and befriend her at the same time. It is Sunday’s darkness that keeps Brazen from truly letting anyone in his life. Sunday takes this bull by the horns though. She will have you love her boldness but also be so sad over her situation. One that so many women go through and hurts us to see.
Brazen is a good guy. He is loyal, loving and sweet. His protectiveness of his best friend Sunday is amazing and I love to see him be so amazing a friend. He doesn’t always do so great in the romance department. His last girlfriend what a piece of work. Upon meeting Noah he is smitten. He also gives her a chance by giving her a job. This though is two fold-he is attracted but can’t do anything about it due to being her boss. Over time though he can’t fight his attraction and Sunday and gives her a shot. And I am glad he is. They have a sweet, fun and wonderful romance. They get to know one another and trust each other. She helps him heal and he helps her live. When he goes through a very hard time, Noah is there to help him pick up the pieces and go on. When Noah is needing support, he is there not only supporting her but protecting her as well.
Noah is all sunshine and rainbows. Her life threw he lemons and she made lemonade. When she gets a chance to go out on her own she does and she tackles it with gusto and joy. She helps Brazen open his heart and let others in. She helps him see he is worth loving without wanting anything but his love. Noah is one that you just smile and fall in love with her infectious sweet personality.
the story is sweet and also filled with some drama. We see Sunday’s issues take over her world and Brazen’s but also see her try to move on and get her life back. We see her help Brazen let someone in and he finds love. Noah grows in confidence and finds love with Brazen but also friendships she never thought she would have and forgiveness for those her hurt her in the past. we see resolution and moving on. We get some sassy moments, some very adorable moments and extremely sexy moments. We get some moments that tug at the heartstrings but also we see two people go through alot only to come out on top and with one another.
A wonderfully sweet romance that has you root for love and see all characters find happiness.

This is the first book I have read by Jennifer Michael, and I've got to say overall I enjoyed this book.

Noah and Brazen's story was sweet and romantic with an element of suspense thrown in. I enjoyed how these two met and came together, forming a great friendship with instant attraction from both sides. I wish I had felt that chemistry between them a little more, and at times I felt things were a little rushed between the two characters.

Noah has had a tough life growing up, having been abandoned by her Mum as a young girl, and growing up in a children's home. Now she is 18, and off to experience 'life' for the first time. She has found somewhere to live, and needs to start by finding a job, make some friends, all whilst completing her 'Orbit List'.

As part of this she meets Brazen, who offers her a job! Brazen is very attracted to Noah, but has important things he must sort out first, where his loyalties lie with his beast Friend. He can't be distracted buy Noah, although his best friend would encourage him to look after himself for once. I don't want to go into more details for fear of spoilers, but there is an emotional and moving back story which runs alongside Noah and Brazen's relationship.

One of the main things I struggled with was that there was very little indication of the timeline of the story. Lots of events happened and the story, but I couldn't work out exactly where we were in the overall time frame until the very end. There also felt like something was missing... A few bits came up which I was surprised weren't mentioned again in the story.

Overall though it was an enjoyable easy read! A story with plnty of romance and love, some sweet and sexy times, but also that element of suspense, especially towards the end which kept the pages turning...

Well this was an unexpected story from Ms. Michaels. As she’s a master at writing dark stories.
This book was a total 180 from her others. And I loved it.
The story was gripping. It had something for every reader. Romance. Sadness. A bit of the darkness and a whole lot of hubba hubba.
I really enjoyed Noah and Brazen.
Noah finally gets a chance to move along with her life, now that she’s of age. Moving across the country to make something of herself. Her life growing up was not one that anyone else wou

First things first, this is NOT a typical Jennifer Michael book! Not even close, but I still enjoyed it. I kept waiting for the suspense to build and knock me over, but alas, it was more romantic than suspenseful. Jennifer did a great job at keeping a unique storyline that flowed from page to page. There is some suspense but not THE Jennifer Michael kind. My heart was beating and I thought I had it figured it out, because I thought she was punking me, and I was wrong. Some might shed tears, I am not that kind of reader but if I didn't think she was punking me I might have had a tear. Things go from great to terrible in one page! I was shocked and had a million questions and couldn't read fast enough to find out the ending. Brazen was a beautiful character inside and out, and he would stop at nothing to protect those he loves. Noah is different and not a character I've read before, she was too close in age to my own daughter to really connect with but Jennifer did a great job building her up and playing her into the plot. Great job Jennifer Michael! Keep writing, you kinda know what you're doing!!

Brazen, Noah and Sunday

there are two important relationships in this book.. One Brazen and Sunday BFFs since childhood and then there is the new Noah (a girl btw) and Brazen. I loved everything about this book, from the laughs, sadness, devastation and new discoveries. This book is pure gold and I loved it. True 5 stars!!!

This is an emotional read.  It’s about a girl who wants to enjoy and live life.  Noah’s character is beautifully written.  She is understanding and caring, bold and bright and a wonderful person.  She brings  a lightness to those in her circle that is needed.  She’s not judgemental as shown by her acceptance of Benson who has OCD and is very unconventional.  She is also so strong to be able to accept what life has given her and move on, not to mention her strength during a time where Brazen needs her most.  She is also bold. The meaning of bold “Necessitating courage or daring” for me, definitely hits the mark in Noah’s character.

Brazen is a wonderful hero.  He is honest and upfront.  Protective and sweet.  He is also absolutely gorgeous!  He has an immediate attraction to Noah and from there on out, he cannot get her out of his mind.  Although he would like a relationship with Noah, he doesn’t believe he has the time.  He has a duty to protect his friend from harm and he does not want to be sidetracked.  He is so protective and caring of Sunday.  I loved their friendship and their interactions.  I also loved how there was no love triangle nonsense in this book.  All three, Noah, Sunday and Brazen got along wonderfully.  As for the way he treats Noah.  He treats her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted.  How can you not love a guy like this?

Something happens in this book that I did not see coming.  I did not and could not believe it until the end of the book.  I still don’t want to believe it’s true.  I don’t know that I like how it happens or that it happened at all. ☹

Aside from that, the book flowed well and I was immersed in the world that Jennifer Michael created.  The characters were all flawed and human as were their families and were just all around wonderful, quirky loveable characters.  If there is more to read on these characters, I would gobble it up without a doubt.

Originally this was going to be a three star read for me, until I got half way in and I became angry. Like an INTENSE anger. I've been mad at fictional characters before, but this was on some other level. I had to do some deep breathing and yelling at the author over Facebook messenger before I could calm down.

I enjoy Jennifer's writing and I enjoy her characters. Though, I have to admit. Brazen and Sunday are weird names. But I absolutely adore Noah as a girl's name.

I couldn't put the book down. I was intent on reading it as fast as I could so I could find out what would happen. I love that there's not just one problem that the characters are facing, there are multiple. And there are some things that happened that I wasn't expecting.

So what turned this from a three star into a four star was that Jennifer was able to make me FEEL. To be able to make me feel intense emotions is one of my favorite things that an author can do to me. And I'm still mad. STILL MAD, JENNIFER.

You'll know what I'm talking about when you read the book. Trust me on this.

Oh my goodness! Jennifer, what have you done? My heart is crying. Big. fat. ugly. tears.

I knew this was going to be different to Jennifer's other books but I was not expecting this. There isn't much this author ever does wrong in her stories and her writing and this one is absolutely no different. It is 100% perfection.
Just pure beauty on the page.
I went from smiling at the love I could feel being portrayed to shedding tears all within a page. The turn around on emotions is just heart wrenching.
I really enjoyed the characters and watching them develop.
Page turning from page one.
A definite must read.

Bold has made it to my Top 10 favorite books ever!!!!

I went into this book blind. I love anything and everything Jennifer writes. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. HOWEVER, what I wasn't prepared for were the tears and utter heartbreak that I received while reading this book. Noah's story alone brought me to tears. Then I read about Sunday and my heart broke even more. I won't say that Jennifer doesn't mend our hearts.. She makes it all better after she crushes our hearts. Noah and Brazen's story was beautiful to say the least.

One of the best books I have ever read!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first book by this author that I've read, so I was not sure what to expect and |I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very well written love story with some added suspense to keep you hooked. You will fall in love with the characters as you read. This story will take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride, one minute you will be smiling then the next crying. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Bold was a beautiful story. It was light and fun but also heavy and sad at some points. It brought all the feels. It has a little for everyone. This story really makes one think about how we take so much for granted. Bold teaches us to live and love in the moment. Another slam dunk for Ms.. Michael.

Beautiful and Brutal

I truly love this story. The connection between the characters is spot on. It seemed a bit slow to “get to the point” before the climax but it’s very possibly that I’m simply an impatient person!

When it hits, it hits you hard and brings you to your knees. I was blown away by the twist this story took and even though she led up to it, I didn’t want to believe things would turn out the way they did. But that’s the key isn’t it? Life doesn’t always turn out how we want it to, but figuring out how to pick up the pieces and move forward is the only thing we can do.

Miss Michael handles the twists and turns of fate with an ease that makes you wonder just how much hardship she’s seen in her own life, in order to know it and our innate reactions so intimately.

All in all, I highly recommend this book and look forward to seeing what else our author has in store for us.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the advanced readers copy I received from IndieSage PR*

This is a Goodreads 'I like it' rating for me. I thought it had a lot of promise with the sweet romance and dangerous threat lurking in the background, but for some reason, I couldn't connect with it. I'm not sure if it's the writing style, or the dialogue, but it just wasn't meant for me. I will, however, recommend this if you love cute near-dream-like romances and second chances with drama, angst and crazy thriller vibes.

In the beginning I was intrigued by the seemingly secret story behind Sunday but once that was revealed I felt like I just knew what was going to happen before I even read it. Don't get me wrong, the story was great and well written, just predictable. I plan to read more by this author as her other works sound interesting and this one again was well written.

Don't READ IT MAY HAVE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK!!!!!

The beginning was just a shocker right out the gate. How she just abandoned the baby girl and she thought all this time it was her fault. Who saw the plot twist for mother and daughter coming up later in the book. But what I loved was the romance between Noah and Brazen. That was something that was natural and right for them. The most tragic thing about abuse is if the person doesn't get out in time how it can lead to death. It also shows how some people get out of things like that too. That was the said part but it is also what brought the two together even more. I do like how she found her strength to leave and start all over, it just sad she never got to do.
