Finally, we get to the final book in the saga. I have to say that I didn't like it much, I don't think it added anything that important to the story, and it actually had some things that made me like it even less. I liked the first books, and I liked the idea behind, but I think that the more the author wanted to add, the worse it got. There were several things that bothered me,
At the end, if you don't read it, you don't miss much.
This series makes you open you eyes and think about what is really going on in our world while giving us a taste of what it'll look and feel like. Very sobering and intelligently written making the reading very intense at times with diverging characters carrying a human story. I love this author's writing as she gets down to the bare facts in an honest and educative style. I have learned much about our environment and whether mankind is already pushed to its limits. I fear we are "there." The budding relationships of escaped federal prisoners as they return to a brutal reality where their world has been markedly changed by droughts, famine and widespread suspicions and fear changing the dynamics. Corporations suppressing the truth. Media mislead. Government corruption. The game has changed. Highly recommended reading.
Man I already miss Lark, Soren, Portia, Simjay, Bernie, Walt & his family. I've read hundreds of books and I don't normally write reviews but I felt like I needed to thank Tarah Benner for writing an awesome (actually 4) book(s)! It was so fun and educational along with much, much heart pounding action pack scenes (which is truly why I got so sucked in.) Like I said I don't normally write reviews, I'm not good at this - but I felt like this author needed to be recognized and praised for her awesome work. Do yourself a solid and read this series. Whomever is reading this post (thank you), I promise you'll not be disappointed. I'm about to start Tarah's popular series 'The Fringe' - I'm guessing with all those positive reviews, it'll be just as great! Happy Reading!
Sometimes I read the conclusion of a series and feel that it was rushed - this was not the case for Dauntless. The story ties up the whole plot and all the loose ends.
Lark continues to be hunted by both the government and GreenSeed and her discoveries lead her to a solution that can not only liberate herself but can help more than just the people in her circle.
An uplifting and realistic ending, which gives you hope that if similar scenarios were to develop in our world, people like Lark and Soren and co. actually can make a stand and have a chance. A series that really makes you contemplate that everyone has their story to tell, and in many cases, they are the result of their situations and not their compassion or heart.
I'm not ready to leave the amazing world these characters pulled me into! But what an amazing journey it was. This is one of the best series I've ever read, and with the devotion and amount of research poured into them it's realistic and possible enough to leave you pining for more and seriously contemplating becoming a doomsday prepper haha! Sincerely as an avid reader and lover of all stories dystopian please don't miss this series!
I loved everything, that post apocalyptic scenarios and what people can do for themselves and others . Great four book series I've read in a long time. Looking forward to more series like this where people go above and beyond not for themselves but the good of all. Thank you Tarah Benner look forward to your series of books.
Such a good series.. I don't even know where to begin. I guess I can begin with I couldn't put it down! It was great all the way through.. suspenseful, very well-developed characters.. and probably the best thing I have read since I started kindle unlimited!
I really liked the series. I just didn’t like how it jumped around a lot. I also didn’t like how months would go by without you knowing what happened. I do understand why the author did it this way to get all the information in. I just wish it didn’t happen all the time. But besides that I thought it was a great series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. I can insert some real life specific names into GreenSeed everything's it's mentioned and see this as a real life situation, unfortunately. I look forward to the next story!
This series really kept me reading till wee hours .I wanted to hurry and finish it but I didn’t want it to end.So glad for the happy ending for all the folks in this series. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Another fabulous book by Ms.Benner! Every single one of her books just slays me and this was no different. Not only action packed and filled with rich characters, she has important messages behind her stories! I can't wait for her next book!
This was a great read! The characters were likeable and relatable, the dialogue was excellent and life-like. Each character was well developed and individual. The subject of the series was very well researched and inspirational.
This is the second series I've read and enjoyed them both. The characters have layers and they show them as their circumstances change. Looking forward to more by Tarah Benner
I loved this book. I never write reviews but I just finished this book and am feeling like I should. This is a great conclusion where everyone's lives get wrapped up.
Such a well written series. There is always something unexpected happening in the plot and the characters reaction to it makes it so I can't stop reading.
This was a fun read. I love watching the characters grow as they work together! The authors notes in the end of the books is what really sold me on them!
I really enjoyed this entire series despite the slow start in the first book. Super cathartic ending. Enough twists and action to keep you turning pages.
