Ben is a 47 yo billionaire computer company owner whose daughter was killed in Iran by insurgents. After her death, he buries himself in religious and technical texts that provide the focus for his future and a direction for his huge wealth. He sees how he can found a direction for humanity and recruits variety of experts including an ex army undercover intel gatherer called Jason.
Ben’s plan attracts the interest of the CIA and a terrorist cell who want Ben dead . Nothing will stop him from achieving his objectives.
At times, the technical data made it seem like I was reading a research paper. Despite this, I still found the subject fascinating although I had a little trouble understanding some of the more scientific aspects. This book gives you a glimpse of what the future could hold and the possibilities are not always good ones.
The Afterword made quite a few important points that I consider extremely relevant for us as a race.
This will be perfect for readers who enjoy futuristic mystery thriller stories.

Two and a half stars from me on this one.....because, well, I finished it, and it was a struggle - and I think I did finish it, in part, because I was curious about just how many generations out the authors would take it, and just how long they would take to end.
The story was convoluted - the authors definitely researched a lot of technology and science and filled the book with a lot of scientific terminology, but I think the story would have benefitted from a better explanation of what Ben was trying to accomplish, and when it appears that the teams succeeded in completing what he envisioned, well, it took a huge leap of faith to understand why it would work, and then his last directive seemed to fly in the face of his reasoning for such an undertaking.
And if this review is confusing, welcome to the last 25% of the book, because have questions. This was just too convoluted, and I almost regret sticking with it to the end because I still am confused as to what I just read.
