Amy Sumida is the Internationally Acclaimed author of the Award-Winning Godhunter Series, the fantasy paranormal Twilight Court Series, the Beyond the Godhunter Series, the music-oriented paranormal Spellsinger Series, the superhero Spectra Series, and several short stories. Her books have been translated into several languages, have won numerous awards, and are bestsellers. She believes in empowering women through her writing as well as providing everyone with a great escape from reality. Her stories are full of strong women and hot gods, shapeshifters, vampires, dragons, fairies, gargoyles... pretty much any type of supernatural, breathtakingly gorgeous man you can think of. Because why have normal when you could have paranormal?
Born and raised in Hawaii, Amy made a perilous journey across the ocean with six cats to settle in the beautiful state of Oregon which reminds her a lot of Hawaii but without the cockroaches or evil sand. When she isn't trying to type fast enough to get down everything the voices in her head are saying while her kitties try to sabotage her with cuteness, she enjoys painting on canvases, walls, and anything else that will sit still long enough for the paint to dry. She prefers antiques to modern furniture, tea to coffee, night to day, and Tom Hardy to Tom Hiddleston. No; Tom Hiddleston to Tom Hardy. No, wait... Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston to Tom Cruise. Yes, that's it.

The GodHunter series is by far one of my favorite longest RH series.

I was hesitant going into this one because I knew this one was going to be a little more emotional than the previous books and it was, but not as emotional as I thought it would be. I will admit that I was not shocked by the plot twist, while I didn't see that coming exactly I thought that something was going to happen because the rescue of Leysa to me seemed a little too easy and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Amy Sumida never fails me with her GodHunter series, Vervain and her squad is always an entertaining read.

Loved it ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

I gotta say I saw part of his coming when I finished the last book, I saw lil bay Lesya following, her mothers footsteps when it came to this, hoped I would be wrong because I hate it when that happens to a baby.... to soaps watched as a kid growing up,saw this coming a mile away, smiles, I'd even guessed one I'd the ones responsible huh ;) I ev n had the nerve to tell Ms.Sumida what thought , she just smiled and told me to read when the time came... had love how I was partly right ,I didn't see the other part coming ;)
To me I hibi the series just gets better and better, Vervain is finally really start g to grow and not herself and mature p, more sense and wisdom but still h it's k we all love ❤️
I personally hope this series never ends feel like I love it more with each book, especially since V isn't getting kidnapped and worse in almost every book ...
Thank you .... I've read the wonderful Reverse Harem fairy tales and if you like RH and or Ms.Sumida's writing an hunk you'll love them too...
Can't wait for Monsoons and Monsters !!!

Pride Before A Fall begins with Vervain waiting on her daughter to be save enough to hold and take care of. Things haven't been going that great since she was born, and now she has been kidnapped. Vervain will stop at nothing to find out who took her daughter, and why.

This book was okay. I sort of felt like it was a lot of crazy drama that was a filler, but other than that it was okay. I liked getting to read about Vervain and her children, and I do look forward to more.

Vervain goes on a rampage, kills a lot of gods and settles some disputes. We meet a lot of old characters and get to know more about Hermes.
Huge disappointment for me was that the book ends at 86% rest are bonus pages from book 22 and bonus chapters from other books. I thought I had 14% more to go and then...
Now NUGE SPOILERS AHEAD

Still strong!

After 21 books in the series you'd expect to see it slowing down. Not so with this series.

Vervain is anticipating her little lion cub coming home when suddenly her bond to her is broken. No longer able to sense Lesya she starts an enemy list and running through names. This turns out to be a longer list than she realized. With help from an unexpected source, along with her God Squad, Intare, Froken and faeries she begins crossing off names. But it's never as simple as it should be. There are double crosses, old grudges, misunderstandings, general insanity and the threat of war to anything involving V, and so it is here. With dreams of crying babies and circling birds, how is a lion goddess supposed to stay sane?

This really has been an exception series. I'm a mythology geek so seeing all the various pantheons play together on these pages has been so much fun for me. V may have married and started spawning but her life will never be boring.

Thrilling as always

This book was an amazing thrill ride Amy Sumida never fails to disappoint with her incredible attention to detail, riveting action scenes, and an intricate plot that I'll have you guessing at every turn. Main character Vervain's strong wit, inappropriate humor, and fierce loyalty for the people she loves will have rallying to her side for victory. Can't wait for the next book release.

Another amazing book!

I absolutely L.O.V.E. this series! It is complex and fantastical, yet down to earth and real. I don't mean I actually believe all the Gods and fantasy things, I mean the people. The characters and feelings. The actions and responses. Amy Sumida has developed a world without equal within thus series. I love visiting and seeing what is happening within the lives of some of my favorite characters.

KEEP WRITING!!

This book was amazing. there is romance, drama, and it is funny. out of all of the books for some reason this one hit me the most i am not sure why but it did. the emotional roller coaster just smacks you in the face on this one. there was a twist that i did not see coming. i also loved seeing her other children in fairy as well. I can not wait for her to be pregnant with Trevor's child. must read

Amazing

Amy did it again!
She continues to put out excellent books to this series and it never fails to bring emotions. There was a lot of tears, some angry times and a lot of laughter. Vervain is a strong woman who goes for what she wants. Seeing her so best down and nearly defeated almost broke me. I also love the message that is behind the book.
Can’t wait to read about what other trouble the God Squad can roll into

The overall storyline is progressing nicely, I was even surprised a few times (although, I guessed correctly --at the onset--who the kidnapper was). Pride Before a Fall took the reader through a gamut of emotions: tension, conflict, triumph, love and hate, and fear. A wonderful ride-- I highly recommend this series.

Amy Sumida brings us back into the world of Vervain Lavine with the next book in the Godhunter series. Book 21 lets us delve into the relationship she has with Lesya, her newborn daughter.

Couldn't put it down

I was so upset about Leysa that I couldn't stop reading, even in between super bowl plays I was trying to read. Really Morrigan got her just desserts.

This was a fast read due to the main action taking place in rapid spurts. Zing zing zing cuz it is a CODE RED ALL HANDS ON DECK SITUATION! And you just have to keep reading to see what happens next. Once the main action is over you get a brief lull and back on the rollercoaster for Part 2: Tricked You Godhunter! And then that is fixed and we are at the end of the book essentially. It really just flies by the entire time.
