At only twenty-one, and practically a virgin, Alex is in no hurry to settle down. He’d like to work his way through ALL the hunky men and not necessarily only one at a time. However, he's also envious of his friends who’ve built magical relationships with alpha males from other lands. Alex would like to meet his soulmate too, eventually.
Cocky and sure of himself. Ryan is hot, sexy, and ten years older. He’s an arrogant landowner who won’t listen to reason or crazy arguments about protecting the forest. And there's far more to gorgeous Ryan than meets the eye. A mysterious family background fuels his irrational motives.
Development around the small town of Beaumont threatens the woods with destruction. Alex is the only full-time resident who knows the danger in the forest. It's all too easy for someone to slip through to another dimension and disappear from our world completely. When Alex tries to bargain with Ryan, things go very wrong...over and over again. Mistakes stack up and spiral out of control.
Lenus is a steamy erotic M/M gay fantasy with a Happy For Now ending and no cheating. It is book three in the new Elsewhere series featuring powerful men who are not of this world. **43,000 words.**
Romance readers should note: Like all books by H J Perry, Lenus is a sexy romantic story, but it is not right for every reader.
Lenus contains two men who discover they are perfect together and plan a future as a couple embracing consensual non-monogamy. There’s no cheating and no additional lovers involved in the intimate scenes in this book. There are more books planned for the series. Therefore, there’s no “I love you” and no lengthy epilogue gazing into their distant happy future together. This is not the book for readers who require these things.
This is my favorite out of the three books in the Elsewhere series. I liked that Alex finally gets his book and the chemistry between Alex and Ryan is really hot. Just the way that I like my books. The book does end with a happy for now ending which I'm excited about because that means that I will get more of Alex and Ryan. I can't wait to see more of Alex's adventures. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I think I liked this story best out of the three written about "Elsewhere." Alex finally gets his story and when he meets Ryan at the school parking lot on Pip's behist. Ryan is going to cut down the woods where "Elsewhere" lies. Pip is beside himself and Alex promises to help save Elsewhere. Now he has to convince Ryan of the this. Magic seems to flow between them and Alex wants more of what Pip has, which is a soulmate...but he doesn't want give up playing around with other men. Finally Alex takes a chance and takes him to Elsewhere to show him why he shouldn't destroy the woods in Beaumont. Hunter senses Ryan in the woods and wants to know who had entered without him knowing at the person had the blood of a God in him. This was a really good story that is to be continued later with the next set of adventures of Alex and Ryan. However, I hope it happens sooner than later, because by the time the next one is written, I will have forgotten about the series and who the characters were or what the story was about. Please write it sooner. Don't let this reader and your characters hang in the balance for so long. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC book.
A strong contender because of the hot connection between the MCs Alex and Ryan, I would not give this installment in the series as high a rating (4.5 rather than a full 5 stars) because I felt it was a bit less imaginative. It seemed that a lot of the fantasy was too close to Lewis Carroll's Wonderland.
Alex, who's been a vital secondary character throughout the series, deserved a story and romance of his own and, boy, he gets it in spades! The author knows how to steam up the pages and create challenging dilemmas in these fantasy-filled m/m romances! I also really liked how Ryan, unbeknownst to himself, fit right in with the otherworld found in Beaumont's wood.:-)
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Lenus is the third installment and the one I've like the most. You need to read the series in order to understand the portals in the woods. Alex has been wanting what Pip and Caspian found but also he wants to try what's out there in terms of relationships. Ryan wants to makes some changes in the woods that he inherited so Pip and Alex make it their mission to stop him. Ryan is cocky but the perfect match to Alex. I enjoyed their story, very Alice in Wonderland with their special touch of sexiness.
Even though this book is the same length as the two previous ones in this series, it felt as if less happened in this one. Plus, there's no conclusion, which will come in a book expected in "late 2018." Alex gets into bed (literally) with the developer who wants to destroy the forest. Then they go on an adventure ripped off from "Alice in Wonderland." Typos: diffuse used when defuse is meant, god and God used incorrectly, a couple chapter breaks have the wrong formatting, overjoyed spelled as two words, only Alex drank the shrinking potion but both men shrank.
I've really enjoyed this series so far. Very unique workds and characters. I'm really looking forward to next books. I can't wait to find out what happens Ryan meets the hunter and learns more about his heritage. I'm also very much looking forward to royal wedding. Please dont leave us hanging too long!
This book was a great read ! I was only a chapter in when I decided to buy books 1 and 2, (this is bk3), in the series, too. I don't think it's completely necessary to read the first 2 books before you read this one, but you'll probably enjoy the series even more if you do, I love fantasy books & I would class this series as fantasy/ romance/ adventure, the otherworld, (Elsewhere), is described beautifully & is easy to understand and enjoy, (I particularly enjoyed the tip of the hat to the Alice In Wonderland !), I'm looking forward to reading more of this series in the future & I recommend it as a truly happy read.
