Definitely too young for a storytime of the K-5 age group. And probably too involved for a younger group. But still a great book to get kids to learn concepts and to pass the time productively. The illustrations are interesting and creative and can have you looking at them just for that. Then there are all of the games or puzzles that are suggested or that you could come up with on your own. This would satisfy anyone content at looking at a book for a long period of time.
