At a time when the stories coming out of New Orleans sounded the same, we wanted to tell different stories—fiction inspired by New Orleans librarians who were struggling to put their libraries and lives back together. Writers and artists worldwide donated works for this anthology, which benefits Rebuild New Orleans Public Library. Contributors Silvia Barlaam, Donna Beltz, Tanya Bentham, Moe Biers, D.J. I like anthologies and since my poetry appears in this one, I really like this book!
My favorite stories are THE KILLER and THE JUMBLED SHELF. THE KILLER is one of those stories that it is better to read than to let someone risk ruining it by explaining too much. THE JUMBLED SHELF is a call to be aware of the incidiousness of censorship and prejudice.
All the profits from this book are donated to rebuilding New Orleans' libraries! Anyone that lives in Jackson and has a library card can check this anthology out!
