This was a fun read - it contained a lot of the same popular wisdom you see in blog posts and self help books but it was done in a really cute, unique (dare I say magical??) way. I picked this up on a whim at work (I'll be saying that a lot - working at a library can do that to you) because as a child I was *obsessed* with unicorns and this did not disappoint - there are more unicorn puns and references to glitter and magic than I knew what to do with. It's not going to throw any crazy, life changing wisdom your way but for me it was an enjoyable reminder to live life with a little more *sparkle*

This was an interesting self-help book that took on a touch of fantasy by allowing unicorn-lovers to have a book for their own. As such it is both a book that throws in magical and cuddly glittery elements to daily activities whether it is about relationships, self-help, one's home, careers and so much more.

The book gives real wisdom and insight in all the categories it approaches. For the self there is natural and alternative means to take care of yourself, how to decorate one's home to fit one's own needs, how to find joy in what you do, how to make and keep friends, find your soulmate, deal with other categories of people and so much more. Most of it is commonplace knowledge yet still good enough to have at your fingertips if you are quite young.

The book also does a wonderful job of exploring other types of people and categorizing them as other fantastical creatures. In this case there is a definition for those characters, information on how to avoid the worse of the types and how to deal with the others no matter where you may find them.

And throughout the book there have been fun elements thrown in with bunches of glitter to keep the unicorn inside you happy along with fun unicorn facts and colored unicorns of all forms.

All in all it was a decent good read for a self-help guide. Unfortunately it is mostly geared towards a feminine crowd while I have a feeling that it would be better off for younger female unicorn fans although other more devout unicorn fans may also enjoy it.

A nice new spin on a self-help book with adorable illustrations and helpful advice on how to be the best you(nicorn).

The overall emphasis of this book is how to be happier and enjoy life more. I think we all need a little help in that department. The cutesy artwork and magical theme work well with the real world advice on various aspects of life such as relationships, home, and work.

There is a lot of information packed into this rainbow-paged book, from how to fight energy vampires and ogre neighbors to uses for crystals and essential oils to brighten up your home. While I was less interested in the latter, there was still a lot of useful information, especially all of the reminders to not get sucked into all of the negative.

Overall, a good read that was helpful as well as adorable.

This is normally not the type of book I read. I stumbled across it in my libraries digital library and thought it looked interesting. The next thing I knew I was half way done with the book.

It's a little cutesy but overall a pretty good read. It basically tells you to be yourself and don't let anyone or anything dull your glitter.

Squee!! This one is so cute! Of course I've heard everything before, but I simply adore the presentation. And none of those other books or articles or whatever have been even HALF as colorful and sparkly.

And besides... UNICORNS!!

Clearly written by/for young women living in the city. If you can get past the bothersome bits there are a few gems worth tucking away.
