There is no definite way to educate others about investment products available in the market. Each of us has different paths while investing in financial instruments for the achievement of the desired goal in our life. It varies from person to person, place to place and market to market.
Each of us will draw different approaches and gateways to begin our personal financial planning consciously and unconsciously. We also sometimes share our views with financial advisers and get a better experience of ourselves. Even though we may not know all the possibility of risk and rewards in investment still we belief certain philosophies and principles of our economy and try to best utilized our hard-earned money in this market.

This book consists of six chapters along with suitable examples to reflect an investor’s perspective on handling his or her hard-earned money carefully through proper investment planning.
The chapter-4 real estate impressed me as Author described with practical examples how an individual invest in land and building and over the period income generated through lease rent and capital gain.
It is very precise book with realistic description of investment avenues available in markets. One can easily carry it while in journey and use it in day to day life while investing in any investment products.
The fifth chapter deals with role of insurance in finance planning. The author explains with illustrative examples that how a small amount of premium on insurance will protect you as well as your family. It protects your monthly expenditure and repayment of your loan liability in your absence any unforeseen events in future. Tax laws for all investment are also described by the author at the end of the chapters.
The book is not describe the types of mutual funds and how can one invest and what is the procedure. The author could also explain about the fund portfolio, expense ratio, charges. The book was not described more about the debt fund.
Overall this book is rated five stars and help to an investor setting his/ her financial goal in long-run.

This book is very helpful in enhancing my knowledge about the financial products, how to do a better financial planning, goal setting and risk involve with investment. This book has great examples which I can co-relate with my own life.
The Quotes which are given at the start of every chapter are very educating and meaningful.

INVESTMENT RISK & GROWTH is a guidance book on how to invest your hard earned money and grow. It shows us a way to weigh all pros and cons before deciding. All concepts are explained in a detailed and simple manner using tables, graphs and examples. This book is very beneficial for youngsters who are just starting to earn. I personally feel this book should be included in college curriculum so that students entering into the world will have proper and correct understanding of money and they are empowered to take right decisions.

How to start your investment, When to start, where the investment can be made. For the common people in India investment is the hardship and most of them don't know where to invest their hard earned money. Without proper guidance people investing money, after a period of time realize that they have made a wrong investment.

This book gives various options for investments like Mutual Funds , Gold bonds, Debt instruments, Real Estate,Insurance etc.If any one investing a sum in National Saving Scheme how much he will get after a period of 6 years. What are all the risks involved while investing NSC...each step is explained detailed in this book. In page 62 a chart is given for PPF investments. A comparison of 20 years investment and how PPF will give its return after 20 years is mentioned in detail. If a person invests Rs.12500/- in PPF how much can he get after 20 Years? This chart is given nicely and explained in a simplest way.
This book is about securing your hard earned money in an efficient way. You can call this book as a "Great overview of finance".

One aspect of the book that I liked on date was the author's realistic approach to writing what is effectively an investment product and the rate of return of that product on date and prediction return for future.

If only I could have accessed such a book when I was younger! However, even at this age, I find it a valuable resource to demystify the world of financial planning with the focus on investing.
Along with R.K. Mohapatra's other book, RETIREMENT PLANNING-A SIMPLE GUIDE FOR INDIVIDUALS this book would form an excellent package to gift any adult.

Investment Risk and Growth is a the second edition which is a guide for investors about investment vehicles. I got really benefitted by reading about the various instruments of investment. There were a well researched examples given by the author which made it really easy and simple for the readers to understand and interpret its use. There are three annexure which deal with how to calculate the monthly expenditure. The second annexure deals with PPF and third how to forecast amount of PPF. I am really happy that the book serves the purpose for all. I would like to recommend it to all the people who belong from the finance proffession it is a really great start for any person who wants to make career in investment. I would like to recommend it to banking and finance students as they would be able to use the full knowledge.

People now a days are vigilant about their money transactions especially about it's investments.
Lack of money creates insecurity in everybody’s minds. One might face anxiety, dissatisfaction, unhappiness and depression due to inequalities related to money.
