The book describes various topics of semiconductor electronics. The subject in this book has been developed in a systematic way maintaining the continuity in the topics. Only semiconductor electronics has been discussed to the exclusion of obsolete tube technology. Stress has been laid on highlighting electronics rather than dwelling upon lengthy mathematics. Only the minimal required mathematics is included. Every chapter is complete in itself so that the student does not need to consult other books for some topic. SHARMA has been teaching Electronics to post graduate students for the last 15 years. He has completed his Ph.D. degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1979. He had earlier been in Punjabi University, Patiala and Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh also. He has been writing for various science magazines and holding radio-talks. He is actively engaged in research in the fields of Electronics and Laser Physics. He has, so far, produced four Ph.D. and four M.Phil, students. He has already published more than 50 research papers in various international/national joumals/conferences/symposia.
