Brianna knows only one thing, she is a slave. She has nothing. She is nothing.
Can Stephan help Brianna realize that she is much more than just a Slave? Will she be able to overcome the mental and physical obstacles her newfound freedom gives her? Is it possible to find herself—to find Anna again—after all that she has experienced?
Follow Stephan and Brianna on their journey to not only help Brianna figure out who she is and what she wants out of life, but also how Stephan fits into it. Will Brianna stay with him or leave him along with all that ties her to those ten months she was held captive?
Sherri picked up her first romance novel when she was twelve and immediately she was hooked. She would stay up reading long after everyone else in her house had gone to bed, needing to see the hero and heroine get their happily ever after. But Sherri never imagined becoming an author.
At the age of thirty, all that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternative ending to give the characters the happy ending they deserved.
Since then, writing has become a creative outlet that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. I really thought this book was going to be mostly sexual but too my pleasant surprise it was also much about how the human mind is unique. Recommend this book very much, and for you out there who likes the sexual aspect; it's there too. This series is one of the best I've read. Anna is a slave to a brutal man and Stephan gets a tips from a friend about her situation. I'm not going to reveal to much but he helps her overcome her emotional and physical scars. He helps her regain her self esteem and also learn her to enjoy a physical relationship with a man. Although he is a dominant he does what's best for Anna considering what she's been through. From being used to someone telling her what to do and not allowed to think of her own she becomes a woman with feelings and thoughts of here own again with Stephans help. And the progress is interesting to read about and gives a good insight in the BDSM relationships and how important communication and trust is. I recommend this book for everyone who likes reading erotic, alfa men, romance and BDSM.
I read the books separately before. I was pleased then and I am more than pleased now. These books were my first glimpse into a world that I truly know nothing about. The struggles that Brianna faced were real and they made me connect with her. Watching Brianna become the person she was reminded me of teaching a child how to ride a bike. It is scary for the kid but once they learn there is no stopping them. Things that we take for granted everyday like the simple ability to express ourselves were things that Brianna had to learn to triumph over. Stephan in this book was amazing. He was more than a Dom. He was a human being. And that in and of itself made this book one of my top books hat I have ever read.
The 'Finding Anna' series is an intense, satisfying read. I read all 4 books one after the other and was sorry when it ended. Expectations on the recovery from traumatic abuse isn't always portrayed realistically but Sherri Hayes was methodical in the progress of the healing. She shows the 'one step forward, one step back' reality of most situations. She showed how important is the support structure and how one person's unconditional love and patience can pave the way. Excellent series.
