This Christmas, Willow has only one thing on her list—Con Romero, but it will take more than a bough of holly and a sprig of mistletoe to capture him.
Billionaire Con Romero has hated Christmas for three years. Every whiff of evergreen and every jingle bell reminds him of how much he wants something he can never have. At age eighteen, Willow Kaplan might be legal, but she's still forbidden.
Although a virgin, Willow has always been more naughty than nice. And more than anything, she wants to belong to Con. Now she just has to convince the stubborn billionaire that she's the best Christmas present he will ever receive.
I really liked the premise, but my enjoyment was ruined upon learning the heroine, at age fifteen, walked in on the "Hero" getting a blowjob, and, though she could see he wanted her and vice versa, he was mean to her and went back to the other woman and Heroine heard him climax, still only a blowjob from what I could tell. Also, it seems as if the Daddy kink "Hero" wants with heroine isn't new for him, which I hate because I want it to be something special, brand new for both of them, yet the heroine remembers going to "Hero's" place one year and overhearing another woman on the phone with him, trying to talk him into letting her up and implying she can be the girl he wants. Ugh. No. Stop. I can't.
I did like that he was technically celibate after seeing her that day, after coming down another woman's throat mind you, and we even get his mental thought about how he doesn't even remember a thing about her, just that he was bored and about to remove her mouth from him when the heroine walked in on them, and then he came after that. But knowing that bothers me...a lot. I really wish that whole scene wouldn't have happened that way, take out the other woman and have her catch him masturbating instead. But no, now she'll always have that visual of another woman sucking him off. Who wants that in their head?
Also, the "Hero's" last name differed throughout the book.
If the things I mentioned above were changed, it would definitely improve my rating.
"The Last Christmas Present" is the story of Willow and Con.
A sexy forbidden romance between a barely legal heroine and an older hero who have lusted after each other for long, kinky fantasies, age play, spankings and a HEA. Smutty read, but things got rushed after they did the hanky panky.
Slightly taboo story meets office romance, meets insta-lust brewing and steaming for 5 years! The story worked somehow as a smutty Christmas special, filled with tropes and common places, with scorching hot scenes and a serious lack of editing. The hero is both Mr. Romero and Mr. Romano throughout the book -- the cover artist made a better work photoshopping the cover on the 4 novellas on the Holiday series than the beta readers + text editor.
It takes a special finesse to write nice quality smut; this time, in my opinion, the autor passed.
This was filth like no other. Forbidden fruit. Cringy. Cheesy. Good. I didn't know it was one of the first novellas published by Ella but it kind of makes sense to me now. You can see it in the writing style- Ella has evolved so much, her more recent books actually have some kind of plot and not just sexy time...
Sometimes with a book...you just can’t un-read things...you know what I’m sayin. Where the scene happens before they are a couple (which is why I didn’t give it less stars) and clearly she wasn’t bothered by it...I was. It was just a scene not needed...in my opinion. If you say he’s a fast manwhore, I don’t need the visual. Outside of that, these two were a really hot couple, with some steamy scenes.
This is a pretty good story of an older man ad younger woman. She's been on love with Con since she was 15 and is 18 and recently hired as his assistant's assistant during the holiday. Short, but a very sexy read
The Last Christmas Present definitely put me in a festive mood again. I loved the banter (and the sex scenes, *wink, wink*) between main characters so much, I was sad to see the end.
I was not prepared for this book when I got this from Kindle Unlimited. I feel I was bamboozled by the cover image - I think its a stock image so I mixed up books. Nevertheless, I did finish this - I can't say I liked it.
The romance is between our twee 18 year heroine, Willow, and our billionaire hero, Con. Despite that he is literally old enough to be her dad, she has been obsessed by him since she was 15. He has been struggling with his desire too but now she is legal so it’s all good. Er - not really but what the heck, I gave this a pass since the age-gap romance is something I have definitely enjoyed before.
However, this book has a daddy-kink which I didn’t like at all. It left a bad taste in my mouth as there isn’t much here other than the couple pining for each other and an extended epilogue which could have been easily cut.
Ummm, even if I could get past the 35 yo man lusting after a 15 yo girl. I couldn't get past him cumming into another woman's mouth while said 15 yo girl watched with him staring at her. Although he waited until she was 18 to act on anything, it is still a taboo subject that I just can't get around. And after he does start acting on it, his kink is treating her like a little girl with her calling him "Daddy" which has always icked me out without the age difference. To each their own, but I just can't with that just like I can't with this story.
I find May/December stories intriguing. The common struggle in them is the age difference, usually felt more by the December. The common desire is to be together, felt more by the May. Rarely have I read a story in which DD/lg comes into play. It makes sense, only if that aspect is already part of one or both the characters' lives. Otherwise, it can seem forced and uncomfortable.
Con is familiar with the DD role. Willow is not but her determination to be with Con and her willingness to be the lg he needs and wants enables to her pursue him. Their story is, I suppose, taboo as she is the daughter of a supposed friend and now his assistant though I feel both aspects can be overlooked. (These are genres written about already; familiarity with the "Why" they are considered taboo helps to overlook them in this story.)
This isn't my favorite story of this series of four. Con came off too harsh at the beginning and I can't recall him redeeming himself of that moment at anytime in the story. While I understand the reason for his harshness, I would've loved to see an olive branch extended for that moment, kind of give them a clean slate. This story does move quick. It isn't angst-filled or dark. There is one moment of tenderness in which Con makes it clear to Willow that he's there forever, and that is my heart-smiling moment.
I'm not super familiar with Ms. Goode's work, and even though this isn't my favorite I'll still be exploring whatever else she's written. This one is a take it or leave it for me. I'm not sure I'll revisit it in the future but it was entertaining for the moment.
This book is short, fast paced and festive. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I enjoyed this short read. I liked Con and Willow. I liked that Willow was determined to get Con to be her man. Willow saw how reluctant Con was to giving in to his attraction. Instead of shying away, she tempted everyway she could. I liked the chemistry between Con and Willow. I liked them together as a couple. I liked the passion between them. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.
I knew it would be age gap but I really wasn’t expecting daddy kink and that’s just not my thing. But that’s not why I’m one-starring it. No, that’s because it’s crappily edited, replete with typos, missing words and continuity errors. It’s also utterly lacking in plot or character development. The creepy daddy dialogue is just the icing on the cake.
I’m not a newbie to the world of DD/lg so this wasn’t a shocking read to me. What was shocking was the dubious situation and some what concerning thoughts our leading man had over his friends underage daughter. Also the actual dad was a total fucking sleazeball in my opinion which didn’t sit well either.
Stumbled across this little Christmas themed goodie by chance. Not sure how I missed it before. Ella Goods always gets me! Quick, steamy read with lots of feelings! Loved it!
She wanted to belong to him from when she was age fifteen. He wanted her but he was angry and mean to her. But now she is 18years old and just hired in his company for the holidays... Sexy steamy scenes...
If you love your holiday-themed smutty romance fixes short & sweet, with a big ole age gap, a billionaire and a virgin, and bent of DD/lg kink...then this one will definitely jingle your bells.
Ugh.. Yep I had to push myself to finish this one. I was just weirded out that the fact that the hero, Con, was in a closet during a party getting a blowjob from another woman...He does say he get's bored and is about to pull out, but when the heroine walks in he finishes and climaxes in the other woman's mouth. Okay mind you the girl, the heroine, Willow is only 15!!! If she was on the cusp of turning 18 this might be a little bit better for me to read, but I just can't with her being so young. When it comes to the daddy kink in this, I don't mind it so much. But what I wasn't a big fan of is that this seems to be something he's done with other women it's not just something special between Willow and him.
I have re read this book more than few times, I'd have given it 5 stars but although it's become one of my fav go-to comfort re-reads, I do remember distinctly what I felt the first time I read it ( and those little details are the reasons why I probably always skim the first 3 chapters every time I read it again) **Plot Details w/opinions that can be minor Spoilers bellow** There are comment in many reviews about the H Con that I can understand to a degree but are otherwise not quite accurate ie. He was not a favourable hero but he treats the h Willow a bit harshly in the beginning ( which some readers say he never redeemed himself for; which it you read and followed the actual story without that surface bias coloring your view after chapter 3/4, your plainly see he wasn't cruel or men because of the typical male in power being an alphahole or mh arrogant jerk like in so many other story's , he was truly struggling with guilt and self rescued that caused frustrated mood affecting his temperament, the book even details that he does feel bad and does care that his displeasure in life has caused him to acting jerky to his loyal friends and employees, he has just reached a level that's built in silence for 3 years... This is actually a plot swerve I think makes this story a lot better and even uniquely about the many others with the trope; because it shows that it's actually the yw ( 18 yr old Willow ) who in a way who is the MC that shows us and the Om of the story that she's a lot wiser than given credit for, knowing better and more maturely than the adult males in her life, a nice thing to read, cause t was a mutual footing despite him being the one with money, she contributed a lot more by showing him where his assumptions and misguided thoughts were very wrong, which allowed him to let go of a self imposed misery, in that way she was more the 'saviour ' of this tale, in a kickass way that I found awesome, cause once he was what she pointed out, it was kinda like ' well can this person I've been so sure was too young she put me in my place all thing considered... And in that way his negative quantities didn't really warrant redeeming cause he did that by gaining understanding and did show his respect from that point forward after the communication channels were set straight and direct between the two.
Basically although this story had the typical older rich man and young 18 yr old h with a dmlg light kink elements , it was awesome because she was way more of an equal in intelehence and emotional maturity than is typical in there story's which I found really refreshing
Con has hated Christmas since a 15-year-old Willow walked in on him getting a blow job and he found himself lusting and longing for the totally off limits teenager. So he's been celibate since and miserable with it. Now that Willow is 18, she's on the prowl and she wants Con because she felt the same way he did when she saw him getting that blow job. But now she's legal and she can have him. And she doesn't mind his kink - in fact, she can't wait for it.
So yeah. You read that blurb right. Con saw a 15-year-old girl and he lusted after her. Worse is that she didn't look older, but she looked like a child, since that's apparently Con's kink - there was NO mistaking her age. So in my book, that more or less makes him a pedophile, even if he's not acting on it (which he was very tempted to do). 35-year-old men who lust after young teenagers (15 is practically a baby..they've only been teenagers for 2 years!) are creepy. We don't let men like that work around kids. I sure as heck don't want to read about one continuing to lust after said teenager for 3 more years. What makes this even creepier for me though is the "daddy" kink because that means that he not only wants someone who looks young, but who acts young as well. And that took this to the next level of creepy for me. And I don't even like the daddy kink stuff to begin with. So really, this story was really not for me. I guess I can say that I give credit to the author for taking the risks she did and I did appreciate that the sex stuff didn't come from a need to dominate, but instead from wanting to take care of his young charge. But still...
Outside of the sex stuff, this an okay story. In fact, if you'd taken the sex and the age stuff out of it, I would have actually liked this - it had a good set up and I liked that the heroine was the pursuer. Unfortunately there were also a lot of typos and strange errors in this book. Like, incorrect names, improper subject verb agreement, "s" on the subject instead of the verb and other random stuff. That's seriously irritating as well.

Welp! All I want for Xmas is a billionaire too... This is one of the quartet series of books by the authors Ella Goode, Kati Wilde, Alexa Riley and Ruby Dixon. All are phenomenally successful with their own books and series.
Con Romero, the H, has DD/lg kink and BDSM tendencies, much to intense for the lovely little innocent h, Willow Kaplan, who has plagued his fantasies and daydreams since he clapped eyes on her aged 15. But three years have passed and he's done fighting his instincts and will make her his this Yuletide.
Only slight detractor was the author's insistence on telling us that everything he bought for her was couture and fantastically expensive, but she had no interest in that, all she wanted was her Daddy. And not the shyster financial services bio father who had been pimping her innocent looks to boost his financial consultancy business since she was a child...
This insta lurve quick read is as light hearted as it is fantastical. Everything you want including good long Yulelog and well crafted, great stuffing...
“The Last Christmas Present” is a short piece of smut set around Christmas. It's a pity as there is a subplot which could have been explored and which might have opened up something a little more interesting. Willow, 15, saw her Uncle C (her father has worked for him since she was a child) busily engaged in fellatio. Three years later she lusts after him:- “I know exactly what I want. I want his hand in my hair, his mouth on my lips, and his dick in my pussy. I want to sass him all day, get my ass blistered pink, and then have him bend me over his desk and f**k me until I pass out. ... I want him to call me his darling little girl and I want to call him Daddy.” Uncle C (aka billionaire Con Romero) hasn't forgotten her either:- “My perversions are filthy and dark.” A match made in heaven! It's not completely dreadful but it is not far off it. 2 Stars.
I might've liked this better had I not read it immediately after Kati Wilde's All He Wants For Christmas (which was far and away the best out of 3 from this collection - I haven't read Ruby Dixon's contribution as it isn't a standalone and I'm not yet familiar with her blue barbarians). There's a lot of build up and then we hit a crescendo and it's over. It's probably due to the length of the story, but the ending really seemed rushed and left a lot of issues largely unresolved. It was a cute story, featuring an older billionaire, a barely legal female lead, and a bit of Daddy/little girl kink. I didn't like this one as much as the Wolf's Mail-Order Bride, but I will gladly purchase the author's contributions to these collections. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
Started it, then quicly DNF the book. At the very beginning of the book the h saw the H get a blowjob by an OW. He said he was bored and was about to tuck his dick back in his pants, then when the h opens the door and he cums instantly. I hated that she saw that, she will always have the memory of another woman sucking off the H. What I hated the most and made me DNF the book, was that after an argument with the h, he went back to the other woman and she heard him groan. It is so unlike Ella Goode to do that, I love her novels, she is my safe author I always trust, and I almost felt betrayed in a way. I just remind myself to avoid this novella, but I still have faith and love Ella Goode.

For three years, Willow has known exactly what she wanted and needed. But she had to wait until she turned eighteen years old. She has worked out what she needed to do. Get a job as Con's personal assistant's replacement for Christmas. She knew his Like a and his kinks. They were hers also. He had resisted her for the same three years. He told himself that he was too old for her. He tried to stay away from her. She even saved herself for only him. You will have to read the book. It is a short one, well worth it. And it is definitely an adult only book. Over 21and full of smoldering, steaming sex! Ye Yaw!
