NY Times and USA Today Bestselling author J.M. Madden writes compelling romances between 'combat modified' military men and the women who love them. J.M. Madden loves any and all good love stories, most particularly her own. She has two beautiful children and a husband who always keeps her on her toes.
J.M. was a Deputy Sheriff in Ohio for nine years, until hubby moved the clan to Kentucky. When not chasing the family around, she's at the computer, reading and writing, perfecting her craft. She occasionally takes breaks to feed her animal horde and is trying to control her office-supply addiction, but both tasks are uphill battles. Happily, she is writing full-time and always has several projects in the works. She also dearly loves to hear from readers! So, drop her a line. She'll respond.
Sweet Christmas collection of 4 previous couples from the LNF series and a new couple.
Zeke Foster still struggles with his disfigurement. He loves Ember and her son Drew and wants to be a good husband and father. Drew and Ember prove to him they love him inside and out.
Gabe Carter and Julie have been working so much they havent had a chance to have their Christmas yet. Two days after Christmas Gabe is looking for the perfect gift for Julie. His PTSD anxieties kick in when he walks into a busy story but a older employee who recognizes his symptoms helps him for emotionally and to find the right gift.
John Palmer and Shannon are parents of twins. To give his wife a break to sleep in on Christmas he volunteers to do night duty and get up with them in the morning. Comedy and a little mystery ensue.
The new couple are LNF specialist Sam Willet who saves a family after a pileup with a semi who ends up getting rescued himself by Firefighter/EMT Sparrow Holmes. The two have an immediate connection and a sweet first date on Christmas.
I'm always happy to read stories set in this series, especially so with the holiday ones. While I had already read 2 of them, I read them again as they were fun.
I liked the new story with John on daddy duty. John did a great job of watching the boys despite being overwhelmed with how active they were. It seemed like just when he had things under control he would focus on one of the boys and the other would go wild. But the best was the present that Santa left for John and his family.
The story with Sam was fun, but I couldn't remember how Sam fits into the Lost and Found family. I liked how Sam and Sparrow interacted and how each of them reached for more when the opportunity presented itself. Their date seemed a bit magical.
The LNF series has long been one of my favorites, and this one does not disappoint! Lovely to catch up with them around Christmas time, and meet some relatively unknown ones (Willit and Parker; the latter’s book should be out in Feb!!!) Another round of editing might have taking care of a few typos/mistakes, but nothing major.
Absolutely recommended for those loving LNF and wounded warriors.
Any book that can make me laugh one minute and swoon the next deserves 5 stars.
I had previously read the first 2 stores in another Madden book, but I was hysterically laughing at the antics of John as he took care of the twins while letting Shannon sleep in.
The last story was Sam Willet and this one had me swooning. When it started with a near fatal car crash, I never expected it would turn romantic. But the instant attraction that Sam and Sparrow had, made me want to root for them from the start.
This book contains 2 short stories and 2 novellas set in the Lost and Found world. If you haven't read any of the series, the first 3 stories will probably not resonate with you as well. The short stories are set directly after Embattled Christmas and shoe how the characters are settling into their respective relationships, dealing with their insecurities and issues. One of the novellas is a fun filled story of ex marine John attempting to give his wife some well deserved sleep time by taking over the care and feeding of their young twin boys. The last story is more of a stand alone that features a less known character but the story is a sweet, solid read in it's own right. I am a huge fan of the Lost and Found world. The veterans deal with both physical and mental issues as well as insecurities about their new families and relationships.
A Perfect Christmas for our Lost and Found veterans
I have to say that I was sad when the author announced she was ending my favorite series featuring the Combat Modified Veterans of Lost and Found Investigations series. But this little novella is a perfect addition to the series. Especially having a more in depth story for Sam Willet and Sparrow. I have enjoyed reading each little glimpse into the holiday celebrations of Zeke, Gabe, John, and now Sam.
Thank you for sharing our favorite LNF family with us Ms. Madden you've given all of your readers a perfect holiday present.
There are 4 short interludes in this lovely little book, with some of the characters whom we have come to love. It's a little bit of a hit and miss mix but the overall result is a feelgood Christmassy book which gives us a little more insight into the lives of LNF crew and their lovely ladies (and kids) as well as finding a new romance with Sam Willets and Sparrow the purple haired angel. It is really nice to have these Christmas vignettes and short stories and I love this series.
JM Madden has written another wonderful book. If you love the Lost and Found series then you will love this book also. She touches base with several of different charters from the series of the Christmas Holiday. It is well written like always, and it also intrudes some new charter, that I for one fell in love with and hope to see them in future books. This is a must read if you are a fan of military man and the strong women they love.
A peek in at some members of the Lost & Found team at Christmas. John, Shannon and the twins meet a mysterious Santa. Zeke, Ember, and Drew adjust to life as a family. Gabe and Julie relax and let Christmas happen their way and there's a new entry, Sam, who meets someone who literally adds color into his life. All the LNF team tug at your heartstrings but Sam's story is touching. Shadow is the best medicine he could ever receive.
A few more Christmas tales in this holiday novella.
John Palmer spends a comical, chaotic morning wrangling hs six month old twin boys while Shannon catches up on some much needed rest. The twins really test their dad's mettle but he prevails in the end.
Sam Willet plays hero at a traffic accident and gets an unexpected Christmas miracle as a result. Well, two Christmas miaracles actually. He's rescued by a purple haired firefighter named Sparrow and she captures his heart
Just what I needed. A dose of my men from LNF Investigation. Some stories I always enjoyed and a few new ones. I would have to say John story brought tears to my eyes. Him and Aiden/Jamie need their own family story. The memories and little tid bits did me in. I also enjoyed Sam burst of violet angel.
While I love catching up on snippets of Lost and Found families it always leaves me wanting more! We have been waiting to discover the truth behind Aiden/Jamie for awhile now. I am hopeful that eventually we will get his entire story. Sam amd Sparrow will need more down the line as well no way can we leave it there but it is a wonderful start. Bravo JM write on! Davia
WOW! Getting to read Zeke, John and Gabe's stories again was refreshing. Now Sam and Sparrow's story was truly a romantic story for a couple who only met a couple of hours earlier. Fate was with them both. Too bad we can't read more about this last couple. FANTASTIC job J.M.! I would recommend this novella.
Three delightful Christmas romances. 2 previously published but very enjoyable to read again and one totally new. These stories have a way of touching your heart. I love the Lost and Found series . J.M. Madden is one of my favorite authors.
It is great to read about the characters doing normal family stuff. Loved the Sam and Sparrow story. Zeke is still my favorite if I had to pick one. He melts my heart!!!
Wonderful stories to catch us up on some of the amazing men who work for Lost and Found. Zeke spending Christmas with Ember and Drew. Gabe buying gifts for Julie. John handling the twins so Shannon can sleep. My favorite is Sam's story.
J.M. Madden can write a check and it would be AWESOME! OMG! Every story that I have read by J.M. Madden is so good! This is a group of stories about the men and the women who love them! So good.
These stories bring you back to see old characters bring you knew characters and some amazing stories. Jm is a amazing writer who brings you stories full of emotion. I cant wait to read more of her spectacular book's.
I absolutely adore The LNF gang. Thanks J.M. for this. I'm sure the boys really made a mess this Christmas. Also would love to see more of Sam and Sparrow
A great holiday book from an author who never disappoints. We are taken on a nice visit with some of our favorite couples from the LNF Series and are introduced to a new couple to love.
Great series of stories. Very funny and loving and clever at the same time. JM Madden instills a sense of patriotism in her books along the great stories.
