Mother and daughter are on a hike. They start in a valley and work their way up the mountain side. Along the way the daughter describes the nature around them with great detail, and explains how she feels. When they get to the top, she asks her mom why it’s so cold and foggy, and her mother explains to her that they are in a cloud. On the way back down, the daughter can see the cloud they were in, and describes the change of feeling once again. A great book to visualize—this will really help students see how describing something the right way, can make you feel as though your right there in the book with the characters.
