Fugitives don’t get HEA. They’re on the run for the rest of their lives. This story should have come with a more explicit warning. I kept waiting for the H to be freed legally but never happened.

This is a story about Kurt - the Sergeant-in-Arms of the Black Hawks MC and Sarah, who is the niece of Ron, the Club President.

While grieving and drowning his sorrows, on the 1 year anniversary of the death of his wife and child, who were killed by a drunk driver, Kurt gets slaughtered drunk.

Sarah seeing Kurt suffering and who has always had a major crush on Kurt ends up hooking up with him in the bar bathroom. But straight after it all goes to h€ll, when Kurt gets in to a fight, nearly beating a man to death and ends up getting sentenced to 2 years in prison.

So Sarah gets a job as corrections officer, to keep an eye on Kurt and help him where she can, but prison life isn’t easy for an MC Officer - Fights, gangs all add to the danger and complications and the question is can they make it out alive? And can they make something work between them?

This was a hot, steamy read and definitely a must read!

Kurt is the-Sergeant-in-Arms for the Black Dogs, and he is grieving the loss of his wife and baby, and as it is the anniversary of their death, he ends up very drunk indeed. Sarah is the president’s niece, and has always had feelings for Kurt. These two end up hooking up in the bathroom, and when Kurt nearly beats a man to death, he is arrested and given a 2 year jail sentence. Sarah decides to get a job as a corrections officer in order to keep an eye on Kurt and help him survive prison. Will either of these two survive the harsh reality that is prison life? No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed!
This author has yet again written another fabulous story, which is a hot, steamy and entertaining read, and I was captivated throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers!

I'm sorry but I just loved the character of Kurt and I truly believed that it showed how a circumstance of being in the wrong place in the wrong frame of mind can change your destiny. Sarah has had a crush on Kurt for as long as she could remember. When she finally takes the chance to let him know her feelings (on the anniversary of the death of his wife and young son), she couldn't possible know how their brief moment of passion that night would set into motion a series of events that will change both their lives forever. I disagree with some of the reviewers that state the storyline is not believable and that the possibility of an HEA is ridiculous. I choose to believe that love will prevail and of course, Zoey Parker's bad boy always seems to find a way even when it may take a little slip of a woman named Sarah in this story.

This is an action packed romance. Kurt is drowning his grief over the loss of his family in whiskey and after a bar fight ends up in jail. Sarah has always loved Kurt and will do whatever she can to protect him. As a guard in the prison he is sent to, she is trying to keep him safe, but can she keep him or even herself safe.

There is lots of action and drama, as well as steamy romance, and despite his less than clean cut past, you are cheering to Kurt to overcome his situation, but the deck is stacked against them!

Kurt lost his wife and child a year ago due to a drunk driver. It's the anniversary of that night and Kurt's at the bar grieving his loss. Sarah is the niece of the President for the Black Dog MC, she has always had a crush on Kurt. Sarah and Kurt end up having sex in the bathroom but then he gets in a fight and almost kills the guy. He ends up getting sentence to jail for two years. Sarah decides to become a prison guard to keep an eye on him. This was a well written story with sexy scenes and lots of action. I voluntarily received an advance arc copy for an honest review.

Sarah has been in love with Kurt since she met the Black Dogs MC with her uncle but he was married and she was to young but neither of those things are true anymore so she seduces him for quick fun in the bathroom. Kurt has had a bad night and when some guy makes a crack about Sarah, Kurt beats him pretty badly and gets sent away but Sarah wants to help him by being a prison guard but Sarah maybe the one that needs help. For a young girl Sarah has a lot of guts.

I agree that they book description doesn't really give a good account of what the book is about. Sarah and Kurt have know each other for years. He does something stupid and gets himself locked up. She becomes a guard to keep an eye on him. There are so many dangers, twists and turns in lock up. The author is awesome with detail and keeping you interested during the whole book. Another great book from ZP!!

This is an awesome book! The storyline is well-crafted and has chemistry, sex, violence, and action. The characters are realistic and one is immersed in the story and characters. This was a really good read and different from many of the other MC stories I have read. These two have a past and she is trying to keep him safe in prison. It is not an easy road for them but it definitely is one they have committed to. The storyline hooks you in and keeps your interest.

Zoey Parker has written another amazingly refreshing different book. I was hooked from the very beginning. It holds your interest in the book. Kurt and Sarah have this attraction to each other but one is still grieving the loss of a family. And the other only wants to be seen as a new light and help them move forward. In one night of magic it turns into a nightmare.
I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review. You will definitely love this book.

This book ended up being more than I was expecting after reading the blurb.
Kurt, a member of the Black Dogs MC, isn't just your typical convict putting the moves on a pretty, female guard. There is much more substance and backstory to this relationship. After the death of his wife and child, Kurt turns to alcohol to try and drown his pain. On the anniversary of their death, after drinking way to much, he starts a bar fight that results in 2 years jail time.

Sarah is the niece of the Black Dogs president and has been around the MC her whole life. While she's always been attracted to Kurt she's kept her distance because she knows about his past. But when he ends up sentenced to jail time Sarah may be the one person who can keep an eye on him while in prison.

Their relationship is not typical or pretty. They go through some major up and downs and are faced with incredible challenges before they will be able to find their HEA.
