"It's Spring" by Else Holmelund Minarik is about two cats who are extremely happy that it is now spring time. The two cats are Pit and Pat. They talk about how they are so happy that they could jump over everything.

I think this is a great book for children who are in the beginning stages of learning how to read books. They will enjoy it and also find humor to seeing the cats jump over the moon, sun and etc. The book can also brighten up a child's day if they are feeling down because the characters are very happy. I think the illustration was the same on every page. I think the illustrator could have added more differences and details to the illustrations.

Got giggles at my old story time, but didn't go over as well with the toddlers tonight. 3/20/12

Didn't go over too well with the toddler tonight either. I should maybe designate this as older, for Story Time. 3/19/13

Used in Lap Time and one toddler got into jumping and some parents enjoyed it. 3/26/15

A girl chose it at PJ, but she was too worried about the baby to pay attention.

Two cats, Pit and Pat get into an, "OH YEAH? Well I can jump higher than you" contest that coincides with the arrival of Spring.
