This quick read is full of tips that I think would be a great those that are young or new to self-help. This didn't present anything that I haven't already implemented in my life or wasn't aware of, but I would definitely consider this to be a good gift to pass along to my younger cousins.
Fast read. Nothing earth shattering, but worthwhile to read as I go into the New Year with a more positive outlook on life and helping remind me of what really matters in life.
A great life companion. The essentials of living a balanced & effective life are delivered in easily digestible chunks. You may already have deeper knowledge of the points but it’s great to have them collected in this book.
There are tips at the end of each chapter & I personally believe a great way to read this book is chapter by chapter. Then stop for a day. Put into action what you’ve learnt. I read it in this way AND in one big chunk. I plan to go through it & refer to chapters I need at different points in my life.
This is great for anyone who is just starting their journey practising mindfulness. It provides great insights on journaling, meditation and mental health. Some things should be taken with a pinch of salt but overall, a helpful read.
Still good advice but written with the same ideas as the relax book by this author. The ideas are more brief in this version. I would just read the relax one to get the important things needed for life.
A sensible set of ideas for self improvement. To be utterly honest, nothing new or mind blowing, but it is a good collection and therefore a useful little guide to have around and to touch base with.
TBF, I didn’t finish this (audio)book, as I found it patronising; was it self-published by a self-promoting blogger? Certainly came across as a vanity piece, of stating the flipping obvious.
Great Book 5/5 Easy to read format, simple concepts and refreshing writing style. Book pages are quite pretty, coloured and with nice quotes. Concise strategies. (Similar books Ignite and Restore)
Easy to read, great structure and helpful tips. I just didn't appreciate the references to good and bad habits with food and there were some fatphobic references that could be better worded.
