Lydia has a job that is stressful as hell. All she wants to do is get through the day and experience a little... bliss!
An erotic short story. If you like sub/dom kink, then you will love this story. It’s not really my thing, but this quickie was well written, and I’m sure it will be EXACTLY what someone who enjoys reading about sub/dom kink would be looking for in a short story!

Not a huge amount to say about this one, the blurb pretty much gives you all you need to know. But one thing I did sense is that there could potentially be more between Lydia and Reid, I liked their interactions, especially after their scene had played out, and wouldn’t mind a few more Erotic Short Shorts from them in the future, to see whether things develop between them.
This read is a definite lunch time special, although it will probably leave you horny at your desk for the rest of the day!

First story of Liz Meldon's and I already fell in love with the storytelling of hers. Doesn't matter if it's short, doesn't matter that ended fast and abruptly; what matters is that the main goal has been achieved. The effects of Bliss have affected me well enough to feel hot and bothered in the aftermath...
Business world can be tough and rough for anyone, especially for women. Lydia Warlow is one of them. She has to be very pushy to her assistants and very patient with her superior's demands. Responsibilities that stressed her to her core.
What Lydia chose to get off this stress is something I never considered existing. Paying to be a sub to a professional dominant. Damn!
The scene that takes place in the story is one of these scenes that (if BDSM kind appeals to you) it grabs your full attention, body and mind's, boils your imagination by visualizing what is happening, and leave you hot and bothered, yet satisfied, with the result. Not a fifty shades kind of story tho. It's way far from a love story.
Do I want to see more about Lydia and her Dom? I wobble between yes and no. Do I want to read more scenes? Absolutely yes. Do I want to read a complete novel about them? Only if the end is going to be satisfying enough. Look forward to reading the continue.
I hope I intrigued your imagination a little and make you grab the book, finding out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.

Liz Meldon is one of the most versatile writers ever. She does contemporary romance as well as paranormal ones. It's very rare that a writer can do both and Liz is one of the few who can do it.
I got an ARC copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it. This book is an erotic short that is more erotica than romance. I believe in reviewing books accordingly to the genre. This book promised hot steamy scenes and delivered. The story centered on a BDSM between the heroine and her Dom.
I love that the story showed the after care. I love that the two main characters discussed boundaries. And I love that the heroine is portrayed as a strong independent woman. If you are looking for a short book with hot AF sex scenes, then this is the book for you... Also, I want a sequel.

Bliss gave the reader a small glimpse into the dom/sub relationship between Lydia and Reid. Not at all over the top. I really think that there could be potential for more than a dom/sub relationship between both of these characters.
If an erotic short story about a Dom and his sub is your thing, then Bliss is right up your alley.

Liz Meldon never disappoints! If erotica is your cup of tea then you'll love Liz's short shorts series. This is a very, very quick read -- perfect for in between books or getting over a book hangover!

Bliss is a novella for a very specific mood and preferences; dom/sub relationships isn't for everyone so be aware that's what this is, no romance at all just a 'plain' dom/sub session, a really HOT one but still.
I guess you could say I have hard limits when it comes to these things, I mean it wasn't that bad, it was pretty erotic and typical dom/sub, nothing that out there. BUT there were still a couple (minor) things that made me cringe. I hadn't read one of these in a while and well one without a lick of romance doesn't entice me as much; it should be known I live for Romance and that if I read a book without a single romantic relationship, it's bout to be a bumpy read for me and said book.
This wasn't exactly the case though, I totally could see a potential relationship developing between Lydia and Reid, she sure does, I mean the way she describes how he makes her feel, damn! This would totally be a book that I would SO look forward to if Liz decided to write it. I feel like it would be a really good one too! *fingers crossed*

Want to read a legit story in the bdsm world? This is it. It’s not the hardcore whips, chains, masks, hurty, crazy kink you’re thinking about. This is a straight-up intensely sexual scene between a great dom and good sub and there’s only a smidge of actual intercourse.

Liz Meldon always nails her contemporary and erotic romance novellas. They are always short and sweet, perfect to get over a reading slump or to act as a great transitional read.
Just like all her other books that I have read so far, Bliss is impeccably written and very entertaining. I went into this not knowing anything about the book, but having read the synopsis afterward, I realized the blurb is everything there is to know about the whole novella.
Basically, Lydia is a very hard ass boss who loves to dominate the workplace. But at the end of the day, all she wants is to have someone take control of her. But due to her stressful job, that day she is late for her appointment, and no Dom likes to be kept waiting.
The story stems off from their and I found that I flew through it quite fast. I am always a bit apprehensive when it comes to a BDSM romance, as I do have some hard limits. There is a lot of things that I cannot stomach and am not a big fan of. But with Bliss, I found the whole thing rather very erotic, not to mention I enjoyed it quite a lot.
Now, there is not an ounce of romance between Reid and Lydia. But, I do believe that there is a potential of something blooming between our main characters and, I really hope the author has plans on continuing with these two.
If you can handle some elements of BDSM, then I would recommend Bliss to you.

But she needs an outlet to make sure that all of this stress of her job doesn't completely derail her life. Some people take help of alcohol and drugs to cope, Lydia goes to a dom-for-hire who takes care of her.

This story might be short but you better believe this will leave a definite mark on you when you are finished with it. It was so goddamn hot, so erotic, a little bit taboo and so freaky dirty. I LOVED IT!! Honestly, I want more of these with Reid Jameson headlining because HOLY MOTHER OF GOD that man is pure sin. I was not prepared for him and his personality but I thought he was a damn perfect Dom.

A very good part of this series. When I read the description I was hesitant to read it. This isn't my thing. The deciding factors were that I really like the author's style of writing and it's a short story. So I decided to get this ARC as planned and I don't regret. If you like me like this author and don't mind things ike these too much then you should read it. Actually it isn't that extreme: it is explicit but somehow not too much or better said not too heavy stuff and most of all it is tasteful. Also it doesn't only consist of this one event. The introduction is really good. Considering everything it's definitely worth 5 stars. It's still not my thing but it wasn't nearly as bad as I feared. What I really like is that there it contains a small amount of humor which probably makes it so much better. The office scene was really good and interesting to see from these different point of views. An author that doesn't disappoint and seems to be a good choice even if it's something you normally wouldn't read.

I am actually not a fan of BDSM because it usually has some docile girl who is introduced to some type of bondage for the first time by an alpha male, who half the time is just an asshole. Well, this story did not hold to it's famous genre trope. Instead Liz created a main character who is headstrong and kick-ass in the workforce. Due to her demanding job she needs to find a way to let go of control and find release. Who better than her Dom and their weekly appointments? Reid is a sexy alpha male (who isn't a douche, thank goodness) that shows her absolute bliss.
So keep in mind that this is and erotic short story. Let's just hope Liz decides to take these fantastic charcters and expand them into another story because I would love to see more.

Intensity and steam without all the feels. Without a doubt, Bliss is erotic, but it's not romance. We do get a bit of Lydia's story in the beginning, which shows us the high-pressure, career woman that she is, but the book is primarily one Dom/Sub scene between her and Reid. The scene does have elements of BDSM, and while it's not over the top, it is scorching hot. Taken at face value, Bliss is one sexy scene, perfect for a put you in the mood, bedtime read. Underneath that, we see Lydia's stress and how she completely lets go in this controlled environment. To sum it up, this latest addition to the Erotic Short Shorts is well-written and super sexy without all the angst of a lengthy romance - perfect for that rare few minutes of me time in a chaotic world.

If you want a quick read to get your juices flowing then this is the ticket! This erotic short story is about the sub/dom interaction between Lydia Warlow and the man she sees once a week to help relieve all the stress that comes with her job. While this is a standalone Novella, there is a hint of a possible spin off relationship between one of the men who work for her that left me saying "don't stop now, lets see what happens". The sex scenes are well written as well as the variety of emotions we see. Don't miss this one and lets hope there is a novel later that continues Lydia's story.

I received a free Advanced Readers Copy of this book for a voluntary review. This is an excellent short story about a hard career driven woman. Lydia takes stress relief seriously, weekly even. This story jumps right into the action from page one into her stressful work load and into her weekend that includes her stress relief. Reid provided that in an incredibly unique way, from humiliation to exquisite pain and pleasure. This short story was a very quick read and was fast paced. It felt as if you were right there observing, it was so well described. A very good read.

Short Erotic Perfect. Once again Liz Meldon does not disappoint. I loved this short erotic read. Lydia loves to be dominated but has to pay a hefty fee for the contract with Reid Jameson. She has a high stress job and needs his Bliss. A great must read. I would love to read a full length novel featuring Lydia and Reid as together they were perfect as a Dom and Submissive. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

This ain’t Shakespeare folks, but it is hot delicious fun. The title of the book says it all: erotic short. It is definitely erotic, mostly one BDSM session between a Submissive, Lydia, and her Dom, Reid. If that sort of thing turns you off this is not the book for you. Otherwise, if you want some hot fun, go and enjoy yourself as I’d definitely recommend this one for you.
My 5 stars is based on this book delivering exactly what it promised, and doing so in a very well done way indeed.

With scenes so real and graphic, its easy to get lost in. I couldn't put it down. You'll be held prisoner till the end. Liz did an exceptional job with every detail. Highly recommend it if you really want to heat things up to the max.

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book. Lydia's idea of unwinding after a long arduous work week is interesting indeed! But, she's probably right. Who could think about the demands of their job when they're in Reid's hands? I'd love to see Lydia and Reid have a HEA. Liz?

Great short story! Definitely a new take on the whole Dom and Sub than what I’m use to. I still enjoyed it and it made me curious to know what a whole book with just Lydia and Reid would be like. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a powerful and erotic short story. The storyline is well-written and gives the reader a taste of BDSM and a glimpse into the submissive's need. This is not a romance! I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review

This should warm you up on a cold night. Not in a romantic way but will get your blood flowing. I love the writing. Liz Meldon has a way of getting you hooked on any type of relationship.

I thought this short erotic story by Liz Meldon was extremely hot and definitely erotic. I enjoyed the physical and sexual interplay between her two characters, as well as the teasing way she ended the story. This is a rather late voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
