Now, she must fight to survive the planet… or die trying.

Frrar, Tor, and Arruk have been searching endlessly for a mate to belong to, someone to finally accept them, but they are losing hope. The time of cleansing, when the great waters drown the land, draws near. They are on the verge of abandoning their search and fleeing the forest when they spot a strange, tiny, two-armed female. They are immediately drawn to her, fascinated by her differences, but they must act fast to save her life, and their own, from the coming flood.

I've been getting into Reverse Harems lately as something completely different than what I usually like - I'm typically a monogamous soul-mate kind of gal who digs fated-to-be-mated pairings and nearly obsessive love interests - these are a bizarre change that works in their own ways. That said, this is the first I've read of an alien adventure - thanks to the bizarre influence of the Dust Off Your MacHalo group, I've found these exist as a popular reverse harem sub-type. Come to think of it, that group is why I found Reverse Harem in the first place thanks to the group read of Trickery, so....

Most of these seem to follow checklist tropes, but since it's my first time exploring a new world of romance - literally - this one introduced completely new tropes. No twins this time! The main character is accidentally sucked into an alien thievery that seems designed to steal cows and actual animals instead of the two-legged human kind, but poor Lilly finds herself sucked up along with her cows. After the alien jailers figure out their error and worry about hefty fines for their mistake, they dump the single farmer on a dangerous planet to bury the evidence.

Lilly doesn't last long until she's rescued by three male aliens who are "Searching" for their mate. Apparently in their culture their existence surrounds having a central woman to take care of in every way possible. They are bizarre looking but appeal to Lilly almost immediately (not a surprise). The cheesy storyline totally fits this RH Alien storyline. There is ample humor in them figuring out their differences, using their tales to communicate, find out how clumsy their new human friend is, and have miscommunications of cultural wooing.

It's silly but it's fun and the author has a worthy writing style to hold up the story firmly. Lilly is a sweet, creative character who - despite some raunchy dialogue that makes me cringe - is a joy to be in the head of. The men are adorable counterparts of each other, their vulnerabilities endearing instead of eye-roll inducing.

The focus is of course romance and erotica but the author stuffs a storyline in there where the characters actually get to know and explore each other mentally as well as physically. Steamy scenes work well enough when they land, and the tails whipping our pheromones to help the female along don't hurt that plot point.

I'll quit rambling now - basically if you like Reverse Harems, and Reverse Harems with ALIENS, you'll very likely enjoy this one. The weird, quirky side of romance can be fun at times!

*4.5* I have obviously been looking for boyfriends on the wrong planet.

Lily (24) has inherited her grandmother’s farm. She struggles to keep the bills paid, as the farm is in disrepair. One night she hears a noise, goes out to comfort her animals and is transported to an alien ship with her two cattle, Hoss and Gladys.

Alien abduction
Reverse harem
Language barrier
Sweet/innocent heroes
Virgin H
Strong/kind fmc
Tails/Purring
Matriarchal society

This is top tier, alien abduction material.

Lily soon finds herself on a foreign planet. Frightened, but happy to be on land. She meets some native animals, and three very interesting looking aliens.

The language barrier lasts the entire book, with the characters communicating, using several different methods. I really like the idea of nonverbal communication. If you have ever taken a sign language course, or gone on a silent retreat, it is amazing how much can be said using body language. Simple things like movements of the eyes, lips, hand motions, a raise of the shoulder, etc. Granted, these are aliens, so you have to give a little artistic license when it comes to stories like these.

I appreciate the author remembering things like a woman’s period, and body hair growth when you no longer have a razor handy.

The story gets a little sex-heavy towards the very end, but this IS an alien romance after all.

A helpful language glossary and general glossary can be found at the end of the story. I didn’t feel it was necessary, because the story is written in a way that the communication is easily understood. There are brief moments of multiple POV’s, so that helps as well.

All in all, a really fun first book in a continuing series, with the same characters.

‘Happy dance’

It’s been too long since I loved a book from first, till last page. This one was amazing. For me at least it was.

I loved the beginning of the book. We meet Lily before she is abducted and I loved it. From all the other Alien romance I’ve read, this one is the first to start like that.
The world built is awesome, I was practically seeing what the heroine saw. The author obviously knows what she’s doing.
Lately, I have started reading mainly Alien Romance as an experiment, since I know that they all deliver almost the same thing (easy, smutty with little drama), and nothing was as good as this. This one was a fresh breeze compared to the rest that I have read.

I have obviously been looking for boyfriends on the wrong planet. Lily.

There were so many things that I have loved.

I loved the way they communicated, the relationship between the heroine and her three sexy aliens. Finally we get some sweet, attentive, caring, protective aliens, rather than some cranky, possessive, with mood swings alphas, and I totally ate it up.

The story was very enjoyable, and I’m very excited that it was drama free.

And the sex scenes, ooh la la.

There was just one tiny, tiny thing that made me stop and read it again. Twice.

She was halfway there when she got a sharp cramp in her lower stomach, and the wetness slicking her thighs turned into a trickle running down her leg. Lily halted mid-step, knowing immediately what had just happened. Sure enough, when she looked down the length of her body she could see the bright red trail of blood snaking down her thigh. “Well, shit!” she exclaimed, irritated by the appearance of her period but not surprised.

Ok, first of all, that’s not how period works. I feel mine coming five hours before, thanks to the intense pain, and second, definitely it’s not like a tap opens and all the blood starts running down your legs.

Well, whatever. Moving on.

I’ll read more by this author.

Lonely farm girl meets sweet virgin aliens.

Why is Lily one of the most awesome heroines ever?

+ She's strong. She gets abducted by aliens, kept in captivity with cows for almost three weeks and then dumped in a random planet with annoying temperature changes and yet never loses her spirit and never has a complete meltdown.

+ She's smart. She is cautious; she thinks and observes before acting, making sure the food or environment is safe.

+ She is gentle and humble. She agrees she doesn't know better and while she tries to understand the reason behind everything she never throws any tantrum.

+ She is human. She brought with her basic knowledge from Earth and Youtube video watching which are of great help on a primitive alien planet and does not make her ridiculously overpowered.

TO-DO LIST in case of being stuck on an alien planet:
+ Chanel Lily and make my own wax.
+ Find hunky adorable aliens to bear me gifts, orgasms, and cuddles when I am cold.
+ Find Nutella fruit because yum.

It's hard to have high expectations when it comes to sci-fi alien RH, because... it's sci-fi alien RH. Chosen does not take itself too seriously and manages to create a solid entertaining, sugar-inducing, and very cute first book, with all kinds of lovable characters.

I enjoyed this alien sci fi romance. It was a complete story not just an excuse for some sex scenes. The aliens seemed alien instead of just different colored human hunks. The world building was pretty good and I liked the alieness of the world she eventually landed on. This ended on a cliff hanger for the most part. I say that because she basically had no conflict left with the men but there is plenty left to survive the coming floods and I assume some sort of trauma when they meet up with the rest of the alien society.

Very very strong "Ruth & Gron" vibes off this. Maybe if I hadn't already read (what I think is superior) Ruth's bonded I would have enjoyed it more

I love this kind of story and to have it as a RH was a bonus
The Aliens were very Alien and the world was imaginative. The language barrier and multiple POVs all great

It was just missing something that Ruth had but still a great read I'm just not in a hurry to pick up the next

I really enjoyed this one and found it to be imaginative and a very easy read.
It’s Sci-Fi reverse harem with three very alien males and also an added language barrier.
I also found the whole set-up here incredibly intriguing the Shevari are very much a matriarchal society where the females are cosseted and pampered by their chosen male harem.

Frrar Tor and Arruk are together searching for a Pasha (mate) when they happen across the small strange female.
Lily has been dumped on this planet after being mistakenly kidnapped from Earth when she awakens after passing out from a lack of water she finds she’s been nursed back to health by three hot aliens.

Almost from the start she finds it easy to trust and accept her three alien protectors though very different from her they defer to her winning her trust and though there’s a language barrier their actions speak louder than words making her feel safe and special.

The boys are very different from each other all extremely individual in their characteristics.
Appearance-wise there all bigger than lily they have four arms and a tail and only three fingers on each hand.
They're also covered in a downy white fur and have swirling marking on their bodies.

Their mating practices and traditions differ from what Lily is used too but together they muddle through their mutual intrigue and attraction bridging the way forward.
I liked how tentative and sweet sometimes-unsure all three aliens were initially with lily she was now their focus and world.
Her care and affection and acceptance of their individual perceived faults bringing forth their confidence.
They are all slightly on the edge of their society for different reasons.
Tor due to his smaller stature and impulsive nature, Arruk his large size and quiet persona and Frrar his natural dominance which here is an undesirable trait in a male.
Lily welcomes and accepts them all for who they are.

This is just the first part of their journey together though it doesn’t finish on a cliffhanger.
I also greatly appreciated the artwork and added clarifications at the end of this especially the visuals I liked them a lot.
I’m definitely planning on reading the next one in this series I found this to be very unique and especially love the unusual dynamics.

Four and a half
I do enjoy a sci fi romance and was looking for something a little different to the norm when I spotted this book. There seems to be a change in recent books that have been published and it’s the reverse harem concept which this story also embraces. Essentially it’s one woman and several men ( three in this case) and although I did have some reservations I thought the author did a really good job of giving her readers a story that wasn’t rushed and which allowed her characters to build up trust which obviously leads to romance.
I liked Lily, she’s sad when we first meet her but clearly tries very hard not to give in. Finding herself stranded on a planet with strange flora, fauna and creatures she doesn’t fall down screaming or crying but instead tries to just get on with it and survive. The three males she meets come from a matriarchal society so even though they are strong and should be intimidating to Lily there’s a gentleness about them that enables her to feel safe in their presence. Plus the author has made all three males to be what I can only describe as misfits amongst their own kind but as we get both Lily’s and the guys viewpoints it’s easy to emphasise and understand them . Also I have to say kudos for making each of the three guys an individual and not just a carbon copy of each other.
Yes these guys are naked and it is a romance so obviously expect steamy times ahead but it’s not as rushed as some books I’ve read and felt better for it. The author has really tried to bring this world she has created to life and Lily faces many differences on this unique planet. Water, food and even the weather is proving to be a challenge but Lily pragmatically keeps going even when faced with tragedy. This unfortunately ends at a point when things are unresolved but I suspect in the next book that we will meet more of the natives of the planet and obviously that will include the females who sound quite brutish so that’s going to be challenging to say the least!
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I typically don't like surprises... ( call me a control freak all you want, but I don't care it's the truth) Anyway I digress... As I was saying this book was surprisingly fantastic!

This was the first time I've read anything by this author and I must say Stacy Jones I applaud you on a job well done.

Even though the h found herself abducted by aliens she wasn't written as a dumb blonde (no offense my blonde girls... you totally rock) that was so scared that it paralyzed her into not taking chancing and taking care of herself. Now don't get me wrong the Heroes was just an awesome and sweet and treated a girl the way she should be treated. But with Lily having no fur like theirs and her skin is pale white and they don't speak the same language they still manage to treat her like one of their Pasha and doted on her left and right.. (hint, hint guys sit up and pay attention.)

Anyway, I will keep a lookout for anything else by Stacy Jones and give her storytelling and written words a good read and see if she can hit another good book out of the park.

This was pretty well written. It's more of an alien fluff, love story with a reverse harem theme. I'm not much of a fan of that, but I can say it was pretty entertaining. I prefer more alpha heroes and these three were more beta. I could see that the heroine was bringing some Alpha out in them and wonder if that will show more in the next book. I enjoyed it enough that I am interested in book 2 to see how a few things play out.

I was actually presently surprised with this book. I have been looking for an alien RH that did not involve the h already knowing about aliens and this one really hit the spot.

I found it refreshing to see the h and her guys try to communicate it really help with the story line. The fact that the h was accidentally kidnapped an interesting plot in the story as well.

Lol okay, so I enjoyed this book. *embarrassed*
Alien reverse harem is supposed to be raunchy in a gross way. But not this one here.
It's simplistic and really sweet.
The 'Hs' are the sweetest lot. Gentle, caring, careful and sooo considerate.
Maybe it has to do with their matriarchal society. They (3 for now) are outcasts, rejected by the females of their own kind. So, when they happen upon this tiny, frail and tail-less female, they are more than happy to be 'owned' by her.
The farm-girl/ vet's assistant h, abducted from Earth and thrown on this planet, is happy to find 'people' and then ends up being charmed by these 4-armed shy and sweet males.

The story continues in the next books.

I really did enjoy reading this book, but just FYI the similarities between this story and Ruth's Bonded were pretty obvious.

Besides it being a RH, the aliens are grey, and they can eventually communicate with each other- the story line is really similar.

description

I mean we have the panther like enemies, the many mates expectation, the tribe dynamics, the dominating matriarchal figures, and even the sexual expectations of the 'submissive men' and 'taboos' the couples participate in....you get it.

So if you enjoyed that book you will probably like this one too.

*Edit* Also, if you read on into the series- the third book's plot does diverge and become more of it's own story. So if you have KU I'd say read on!

One minute Lily is on her late Grandmother's farm with the cows, the next minute she wakes in a glass cage on a spaceship surrounded by monsters. Accidentally taken by alien poachers she spends the next week in the cage before the aliens discover their error. Worried about getting in trouble for having a higher life form in their cargo they dump her on a planet planning to return for her. If she stays alive they will pick her up on the return trip and take her to auction. Lily is amazing throughout the ordeal, always keeping her calm. Alone on a strange planet, her first goal is to get far away from her point of drop off so that her abductors can't find her if they return. She picks a direction and walks until dark and then makes a safe place for the night. She awakens to a little fluffball creature who has decided that they are friends, feeds her berries, and entrusts her babies to Lily. Lily, being Lily accepts the creature and names her Seti. Unknown to Lily three men have been following her. They are on a search for their mate. When they spot Lily they follow her to see if she is a threat, but soon find themselves drawn to her. They are fascinated by her differences. As Frrar, Tor, and Arruk watch Lily bond with the creature, they decide that she is meant for them. They begin the process of gathering gifts to present to their female hoping that she will accept the gifts and in return them. Before they can approach her Lily collapses from dehydration and they must save their female. Once saving her they present themselves to Lily who despite understanding the men is fascinated with them. Not really understanding what is happening Lily accepts the men. Now all four must get out of the forest and to the safety of the caves before the land floods with the annual cleanse.

This was a fascinating book. The characters were all nicely-developed and likable. I love that the men were all misfits with their own people yet embraced by an Earthling. The submissive nature of the male culture definitely made their initial meeting smoother and their protective, generous natures allowed Lily to feel safe even though they were so physically different and there was a language barrier. I appreciated how kind Lily was to the men after they had been mistreated by their own people. I am not a fan of their women! It was sweet how much the men adored Lily for her simple actions. It's a quick read but sets the stage nicely for their initial relationship. I was heartbroken at one point and kept waiting for a miracle of sorts but it never came. I'm still not happy about this loss. My only criticism is the language barrier, not that it existed, but that they didn't seem to work at trying to learn each other's language more. Lily never asked for their words. She is on a different planet than her home, she's going to need to know how to communicate better than charades. The relationships progressed too far and too fast for people who could not share basic communication.

I look forward to seeing where these characters go next. How do they fare during the cleanse? Do they plan to rejoin the men's people and how will the females react to Lily? What happens when her abductors return? This should all be interesting.

A wonderful debut by Stacy Jones! I adored this book and loved the characters. Poor Lily is unknowingly plucked up from her farm by aliens, caged, then dropped off on an unknown planet, but thankfully, three natives who are considered outcasts from their own people, stumble upon her claim her as their own despite Lily being the one who was supposed to choose them!

Lily was fun. She was easygoing and had a good head on her shoulders. While at first fearful of these giant aliens who possess tails, have downy fur and markings covering their bodies, and four arms, they are the most gentle of giants and do everything they can to ease her fears and treat her with the best of care. Each one has a personality of their own, and we’re given glimpses into their own minds in a way that is not confusing despite not getting a huge spotlight (such as a chapter of their own). It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I think it’d have to be Arruk. Maybe Frrar? Playful Tor? Ugh! I don’t know!

As a heads up, this is part of a series and there is a teeny tiny cliffhanger letting you know there is more to come, but it does leave you satisfied. Their story is just not quite complete. I’m excited to read more! Overall, if you’re looking for a sci-fi romance with some super sweet, gentle, submissive-like alien-like with some extra limbs (four hands are better than two…believe me, after reading this, you will know why! Haha!), then this book is for you! There is also a little extra surprise at the end of the book that I also loved.

This was actually immaculate.

A farmgirl abducted and abandoned on an unknown planet?
Check.
Three sexy aliens?
Check.
Absolute devotion from said aliens to previously mentioned farmgirl?
Once again, check.

I loved that these aliens came across some random female of an unknown species on their planet and were like... hmmm she seems like the perfect mate, let's make her gifts and do our special mating dance for her. In their species, the females are revered, so of course, they basically worship our heroine, Lily.

Not to mention, the three aliens are mf VIRGINS. I loved it. Lily gets to teach these giant four-armed aliens how to have shmex.

Also, there's a language barrier, which I fricken adore in books. Makes communication so funny. She teaches them the word 'kiss' and then they're always like... "Kiss, Lilyyyy?".

Literally read this. It's like ice planet barbarians on crack.

EDIT: guys I just reread this and honestly liked it a LOT LESS the second time. maybe it’s because I’ve read more alien romances in the past year? i’m not sure.

I liked the narrators voices and enjoyed listening to them. The story is about Lily a human abducted and dropped on an alien planet. Luckily some aliens pick her up and help her survive. I enjoyed that the aliens, are really aliens, not humanoids. The world building is nice. My only complaint is that in the last third this was all about smut and the story line took a backseat. That wasn't for me. But the book is nice, mostly fluffy with some drama and danger.

I genuinely hate when they can't communicate together.
I lost it when the FMC mentions that she needs to wax her legs and that she did threading when she was on the ship where they abducted her. Like girl, that's your first concern? Not food, or possible SA, but your body hair? Nah, I just can't with this

RH with 3 sexy 4 armed aliens guys and one sassy heroine.
This was an easy read, mostly drama free if you don't count being abducted by aliens by mistake and then dropped off on another planet when they found Lily.Oh and basically surviving on a foreign planet where pretty much everything is a danger.
Good thing the guys find Lily and take.her in the trees to make her their Jane😅.
Pretty hot and smutty and the guys are adorably sweet and caring. Their race is females on top guys bottom in every aspect, so they have a great time learnt to be less submissive.
I liked how each guy was different and brought something different to the dynamic of the group.

Absolutely and sickeningly safe! Their world is run by women, so these dudes were never been picked, they went to search for their mate in the woods which is where our fmc was dropped by the aliens who kidnapped her!

very v 3 mmcs and they court her, the lack of language did bother me near the end so hopefully it resolves in the next book

So farm-girl Lily is abducted by weird fishlike aliens and kept in a glass tank for three months before being ejected onto a weird jungle planet. She is rescued by three four-armed aliens who then proceed to swing her through the trees to safety.

As alien abduction books go this was a good one. Why? Well, I liked the idea that Lily had been taken by accident then thrown away. It was a nice change from the ol sex-slave market theme which most have.

I liked the world-building. I liked the idea of white foliage and an orange sun. The fact that Lily didn't know you could dig for water or that the aliens thought her weird for endlessly drinking water only to leak it all the time was novel.

Lots of hot bits! This was an ok reverse harem. I still don't really think it's my genre. I find it hard work just remembering who everyone is, but this one was actually ok. It's pretty smutty too! Jeez, they really go for it. I liked that Lily didn't war with herself too much over this. You know, day two and you are kissing three weird aliens, why not? She had quite an upbeat attitude and the author seemed to treat the whole story with a sense of humour.

I ploughed through this pretty quickly. I enjoyed its easiness.

Some say it is a cliffhanger ending. I would prevaricate and say it's an unsatisfactory ending but it does end. Basically there is more. Onto the next book!

Interesting read. I wasn't really onto the beginning, but once Lily was off the ship, I started to enjoy it more. I thought it a little strange that she had been there three, maybe four days, and her main concern was trying to thread the hair from her legs. The world building was fantastic. It is not a person who is an alien. These characters have major differences that let you know they are not human. As much as was put into those differences, however, there were things that kind of took me out of the story a couple of times. At one time when they first meet, one of the aliens deliberately puts a hand over her heart. Uh, how does he know where her heart is, and it is a very strong coincidence that the heart of an alien symbolizes love the same way it does on earth, just little things like this.

Fantastic first read by this author.

I really enjoyed the story... the thought that lily was accidentally sucked up by cow kidnappers and dumped on a random planet did make me chuckle.

I thought the three guys were great personalities and I especially liked how different they were F ( strong silent type ) and A ( big softie sweetheart ) and Tor ( joker/boyish charmer ). I adored the scene with A being healed... I kept waiting ( and wishing ) for seti and her kits to re appear 😢😢😢

Looking forward to more from this author and this series.

There was a lot about this that reminded me of the Ruth & Gron series, but it had enough of its own thing going on that it didn’t feel like a rip-off. The heroine and her guys were all likeable characters.

Beware it ends on a cliffhanger but 3 more books in the series are out. As of this review, I’m on the fourth book and still enjoying the series quite a bit!

One minute your looking after the animals on your small farm, the next you're beamed up into alien spaceship. By accident. When Lily looks around she realises that she is the only "person" here, every other creature that has been captured is exactly that...a creature. When abducting her farm animals the aliens mistakenly took her as well. Which explains why she is now marooned in the middle of the jungle on an alien planet with only the clothes on her back and her limited survival skills for company. Until Frrar, Tor and Arruk find her. And she accidentally marries them. All 3 of them.

I kept seeing Chosen popping up on my recommendations and I decided to give it ago. I was immediately hooked. It has everything I love, a very resilient and likeable heroine, aliens who look like aliens and an adorable sweet romance.

Stacy Jones did a great job with the romance in Chosen, Tribe and Tribe Protector all of which are about the romance between Lily and her men. With reverse harem books I've noticed that authors can struggle clearly defining the characters of each person in the 'harem'. But Jones did an excellent job of giving Frrar, Tor and Arruk their own personalities and quirks and I quickly fell in love with all 3 of them.

In Tribe we are then introduced to a possible new member of Lily's harem Draak, the twin brother of Arruk. Again, Jones has got me falling in love, this time with the wild and scarred up male and the relationship develops further in Tribe Protector. And, although Draak is a later addition to her harem, he seems to fit perfectly. Jones has created such great chemistry between Lilly and all of her guys, both individually and collectively. Draak seems to slot right in.

If you are a fan of V.C. Lancaster's Ruth and Gron series this has a similar kind of feel. Aliens who live in a fairly primitive matriarchal society where the female takes many males as her mate. I would also recommend this to anyone who wants to read a really cute romance and doesn't mind that the heroes aren't human...and have tails.

I am now eagerly waiting to see what Jones will bring out next. It says that this is the finale in the series, however, she does leave some possibilities with other characters we meet along the way.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that she comes back and revisits the tribe!

It was a nice change for a woman to be abducted for something other than a sex slave. Lily was was mistakenly taken when aliens abducted her cows. I liked her right away. She cared about her grandma and tried her best to take care of the farm after she died. She was kind to the animals, smart, and levelheaded for her abduction circumstances. She had common sense and natural survival skills. For example, watching what animal eat and drink to determine if most likely safe. Rubbing food on her skin to see if it irritated her before ingesting it. Using leaves as barriers around her so the noise would make her aware something was approaching. It was also nice that the author addressed body hair. In most alien books, the heroine is lasered by the aliens or trimming is never addressed.

I also loved the three heroes right away. They were humble and even self conscious because their tribe had not been kind to them. Arruk was considered odd because he preferred solitary and was quiet. He was extremely large yet very gentle, observant, and wise. Tor was rejected because he was not as large as other males and his markings were not as bold, yet he was the quickest and could blend into the forest. He was also impatient, mischievous, playful, and the youngest. Frrar was shunned for not following the tribe ways blindly. He was independent, did not blindly abide old ways, smart, and a natural leader which the tribe women did not like. They wanted to be obeyed. The men were almost a little too insta-lovey. 20% into a 282 pg book and the 3 heroes were already pretty much in love. I was worried I would get bored but I was very wrong. They were endearingly thoughtful, protective, and extremely likable. The choking scene made me giggle and the guys were so damn cute. When they gave her gifts and fruit inspired by her hair, clothes, and skin tone, they got an A+++ for effort.

When the heroes flexed their muscles, turned around so she could inspect them, and did their tail dance, it was hilarious. Then they fed Seti's babies, came back, and each kissed her. Unbeknownst to Lily at the time, it was a mating ritual. They were proving they were good mates. Lily unknowingly mated all 3 mcs. The way they doted on her, you couldn't help but love them. They were extremely attentive, caring, and protective without being over bearing. Their tribe and customs definitely favored the females who forced/raised the men into their submissive roles. No wonder the men automatically wanted Lily. She was kind, patient, and accepting. She was not like the dominating, aggressive, and spoiled women of their tribe.

I liked how the author handled their sexual encounters. The men were all virgins - not even allowed to masturbate. (yay! no man whores!) Lily had to show them how to kiss and act but it did not hinder anything. The men caught on quick and were eager to please. The first almost sex scene started out funny. I liked when Frrar accidentally kicked Tor- causing him to growl while his head resting in Lily's lap. Frrar noticed it stimulated Lily and then kept "accidentally" kicking him when he realized what was happening lol.

Side notes:

Seti was soooo cute and sweet. Lily, along with the men were very kind and gentle with Seti and her babies. When Arruk fell, we were lead to believe the pets had died. I think/hope they are still alive but I was mad at Lily for wanting to screw so soon afterwards. I have had beloved pets pass away in the past and sex is the LAST thing on my mind. >/ This sex scene was tainted for me so I skimmed it.

OMG. Period scene was hilarious but also proved how thoughtful the men were at the same time. When would a human male ever have the knowledge or willingly build a homemade pad? lol.

Lily quoted "Never give up. Never Surrender." OOMMGG Galaxy Quest is one of my most favorite movies! For that alone, I wanted to give 5 stars.

At first I thought random words seemed to be capitalized in wrong places. Later, I realized the author did it on purpose.

The book was a tiny bit slow sometimes but overall, I loved it and already ordered the next book in the series.

Different can be good

Accidentally kidnapped, ironically with her cows, by aliens like some bad sci-fi comedy Lilly is more than a bit concerned. While at first the flying zoo of otherworldly creatures is intriguing lack of a bathroom, food and other sentient beings is a cause for concern. Lilly manages to stay alive, if bored to tears, until the aliens realize they collected more than her cattle on their expedition. Since stealing sentient beings is illegal they decide to dump her on the closest habitable planet. When Lilly wakes up it's not home but it's not a holding pen or an alien zoo so she sets out to inspect the new world she's on. First she finds a fuzzy friend who helps her discover edible items. Then she is discovered by 3 males on a hunt, a hunt for a mate. Although they have the perfect camoflage these gentle giants aren't meat eaters. They are fabulously protective, though, and since they come from a matriarchal society they don't push boundaries. So, if a woman has to be dropped off on another planet by kidnapping aliens, this one seems pretty dang perfect!

I like that the language barrier wasn't immediately overcome. It makes it more realistic. As realistic as a sci-fi romance can be lol. The creativity of the author is impressive. She has built a world, a culture and incorporated an abandoned human into it while making it with fun and exciting. Since this is the 1st I'm hoping for a more in depth look at the rest of the alien tribe in the next. While primitive in some means, they show an understanding and morality of an established society. I can't wait for Lilly to show them fire and some more advanced tools. Lilly staying level headed and not being a sobbing mess is a relief and greatly appreciated. So many MCs tend to be wilting flowers. A leading lady doesn't have to be either militant or tragic and broken to be entertaining. Sarcastic and bawdy work just as well. :)
