OHMYGOD! YES!

Wow, what a story! I loved this book! This was a short but steamy mafia romance.
The Russian by Renee Rose is the story of Yuri and Lucy.
Yuri now works for the FBI but has been working undercover for the past three years as Don Diego's enforcer. He's been working undercover for soo long he is starting to feel like he really is the mafia enforcer that he is pretending to be. They have been trying to bring the mob down and catch the head guy. On this assignment he is ordered to kidnap Lucy, a DJ and sister to one of the Night Club owners, in order to get her brother to pay the money he owes. 
Yuri knows he is more than an enforcer. He is a man in love with his captive. I wish this one was a bit longer so that there could have been more character development but it works as a steamy novella. 
This is the first book I've read of author Renee Rose and it wont be the last! Can't wait to read more by her!

Good story!

I love Renee Rose and her spanking stories. The only downside to this story is that it was too short, though there was a lot of action that happens in the book. There is also a short story at the end about a boss and his assistant with, of course, a little bit of spanking!

This was a super crazy story. I didn’t really understand the characters actions in this one. It’s one thing to like a bad boy but who in there right mind has the hots for the person that is holding her captive and has threatened her life. Not really my kind of story.

This was a short but steamy mafia romance. Yuri has been undercover so long he is starting to feel like he really is the mafia enforcer that he is pretending to be. But when he is ordered to kidnap Lucy in order to get her brother to pay the money he owes, Yuri knows he is more than an enforcer. He is a man in love with his captive. I wish this one was a bit longer so that there could have been more character development but it works as a steamy novella.

I enjoyed the read, but I didn't get why the heroine was so upset with the identity reveal. I also wasn't a fan of the whipping, the peeing/pooping bathroom escape scene (It's not as bad as how I'm writing this I just don't want to giveaway spoilers) and the too quick way they jumped into sex. . .while she's being kidnapped.

The beginning started off awesome for me. . and then it sort of went somewhere else that I didn't want to go.

That being said I'll check out more from this author.

2 stars. Meh, this definitely could've worked but the writing wasn't very good so it didn't get to reach it's full potential.

The plot was pretty simple but it was interesting enough. I think the main thing besides the writing that held this back was the characters. They all fell so flat for me. They weren't interesting, they weren't well developed and I found that I didn't care what happened to them in the end. I can't even blame it on this being less than a 100 pages because it can be done. I've read short stories with really well fleshed out characters.

The 'twist' was uninspired and kind of didn't make sense. If there had been more time developing the characters and less on the sex this would've been fine but as it is, I didn't care for it.

Which that Night Club owner is in trouble with Don Diego's group so they want him or at the very lease use his sister Lucy. Which of course Yuri will do anything to protect her...she is his!
This was a pretty quick, easy mobster type romance.

The Russian is a deliciously naughty mix of good and bad. A mafia enforcer, Yuri, is a bad guy but he's also a good guy. He is undercover for the FBI. All it takes is one smiling woman and he's off his game.

Willing to risk everything but her...Yuri is in trouble.

The Russian has some deliciously naughty bondage scenes. Look forward to an alpha with a Russian accent and a woman who never knew how much...she likes.

I just wish it had more. I want more story, more naughty, and more Yuri.

Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author. (netgalley) I thought I had read this book years ago, and it seems I did or very similar. I love Mafia stories and hot alpha's too and you get both. Lucy's brother owes the mafia money and unfortunately they are going to use Lucy to get it, in come Yuri. Yuri is a who is an enforcer and FBI, and he is not going to allow Lucy to become collateral no matter what. I wont tell you more so that you can read for yourself. Enjoy!

Once again, Ms. Renee Rose gives her readers a story that has so many elements and takes them on a roller coaster ride in this adventure. Secrets, debts owed, life and death, kidnapping, control, desire, protection, and danger.

Jake will find himself in debt to the mafia and struggle to come up with the money owed. While he is busy trying to get the money, his sister, Lucy, is at his club, The Blue Turtle, working as a DJ. Three men from the Mob are there, and Lucy finds herself their collateral.

Yuri, a Russian, now working for Don Diego, has watched Lucy at the club, he always seats himself, so she is what he sees. Her vivacious personality and ability to bring life to the club and those that attend have been his focus. Thinking she must be on something, he watches her closely, she only drinks bottled water, and even her eyes are clear.

The order is given, and she will be kidnapped from the club and taken to a motel by three henchmen, one of them being Yuri. It is his goal to keep her safe and away from the other two. He makes her a promise he will keep her safe, but that doesn’t mean he goes easy on her.

The story takes on an air of Yuri being the heavy, commanding and controlling Lucy, whipping her, and having sex with her, but guarding her against the other two thugs. Not everything is as it seems, but sometimes secrets must be kept to protect others.

“I wanted to watch you every night. For the rest of my life. I knew, Lucya, I could never have you. I am darkness. Six years in Russian mafiya. Nine with…these a**holes. I don’t sleep at night, Lucya. You know why? Because I’m a monster. The monster made by the streets of Kazan. I knew I never could have you. But it didn’t take away the wanting. Watching you changed me. There’s someone who threw all the rules. Became something unique, I thought. Something special. Me, I have to keep this role. I don’t even know who I’d be without it.”

When the truth comes out, how will Lucy react to Yuri? The story has a punishment scene along with explicit sex scenes. This is a fast-paced, action-packed adventure with criminal elements, an innocent victim, and two people finding each other during danger.

“No matter what he said, he’d lied. She didn’t know which parts of him were real. Or which parts of them were real. She’d just been kidnapped, bound, and seen a man killed right in front of her. Her brother was missing, maybe dead. The last thing she needed right now was a complicated Russian explaining his deception.”

It’s a novella. Quick. Hard. Fast. Like Yuri fucks. Mmmm Yuri, sexy crazy Russian monster.

I really wish it was longer just because I loved the characters and the story. It’s erotically ridiculous but not cheesy. And I don’t say that to be negative. It’s basically a mob kidnapping inta-love even though Yuri and Lucy have known of each other.

It’s good read it.

FYI-

Spanking, whipping with a belt, oral and penetrative sex. Anal play and sex basically off page just mentioned.

Violence - it is the mob.

Yuri and Lucy are an explosive, thrilling and exciting couple to read about. He is a FBI agent undercover with am mob as an enforcer. She is a DJ working in her brothers night club. Yuri is ordered to kidnap her since the brother owes them and unexpected sparks fly. His protective alpha male instants kick into overdrive and the rest of the world falls away.. Highly entertaining reading experience.

Holy moly Yuri! This short steamy mafia romance was just what I needed in between longer books. I loved the storyline and Renee Rose did an amazing job getting me to want a mafia bad boy of my own. My only complaint would be that while I loved it being a shorter book I was left wishing for more. Hopefully, I will find the time to sit down with another of Renee's books again soon.

I skipped the previous two books of the Master Me series, because Mafia + FBI? Why not?
Well, this novella was just OK for me. I'm not sure but something was missing... well I've realized by now that when it comes to Renee Rose it's hit or miss, this one was a miss for me.
