One family. A couple of single ladies. And two novels about that crazy little thing called love. . .
Two novels from beloved authors Janet Evanovich and Dorien Kelly, now in one great package

"Evanovich and Kelly skillfully combine comedy with romance and suspense."--Booklist
Janet Evanovich is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Stephanie Plum series, the Lizzy and Diesel series, twelve romance novels, the Alexandra Barnaby novels and Trouble Maker graphic novel, and How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author, as well as the Fox and O'Hare series with co-author Lee Goldberg.
Both books were great little reads, super easy to get into and great beach reads. But the first being " historic" was a big surprise after reading the Stephanie Plum series. The authors have a great way of creating sexual tension but then they wrap it up in a nice little bow without any of the good stuff!
The Husband List was too slow for me, lots of detail, which I normally enjoy. It dragged a lot, to the point where I just wanted to finish so I could move on to the next part.
Love in a Nutshell was better, quick-paced, not so many details that you drown. Overall a cute easy read.
Goodness I just loved both of these stories!! The Husband List (book 1) is about Caroline Maxwell and Jack Calhane, it's like a friend to lovers, set in a time where generation wealth & marriage means more then love, Jack is Caroline's brothers long time best friend. The Maxwell parents want Caroline to marry for title/status and money, there is mysterious twist & turns and obstacles for Caroline and Jack and their HEA. Love In A Nutshell (book 2) has Matt Calhane and Kate Appleton their story is set in modern times, Kate moves into her parents cottage after her divorce, Matt gives her job to solve a mystery at his breweries. Both stories are sweet with a touch of mystery and twist & turns. Well worth the read!
