A holiday tale of Yuletide, the Winter Solstice, with a folklore Alexi and Alexander learn a fable from their grandfather about the moon, the Old World, and werewolves during the holidays.
This is both a holiday gift and a coming-of-age story inspired by an old, 18th century woodcut from the Scandanavian regions of Europe showing a giant a maiden clamped in his jaws.
And, it is decidedly holiday in tone and flavor; sort of an alternative "explanations of holiday traditions" tale.
