Self note:

H is too nice to everybody, so that causes in third book OW drama. For me, that's a weak H and not worthy of my time. He should have listened to his WIFE and the whole drama would have been avoided.

Mad, Mad Love for a reason

I just finished The Remembrance Trilogy...

Mad Mad love....
Well ladies the title says it all.

The Remembrance Series is a gift in itself.

Julia and Ryan attend the same college but they don’t know each other. Ryan is studying to become a Dr. Julia was studying for her marketing degree and they will forever be grateful for Psychology 101. This is where it all begins...

Before Ryan was mine...
Ryan sees Julia and is immediately captivated. She is stunning and the bedazzled “M" on her ass cheek, must be fate! He introduces himself because he cannot wait another second. He has to know her name. She is stunning and funny as hell.
She is witty with a beautiful charm and cannot take her eyes off Ryan. Can a man as beautiful as him ever be interested in a girl like her? They quickly become friends .... best of friends. They spend almost everyday together for 4 years but when Ryan is accepted to go to Harvard, he panics. He can’t go a day with Julz. She can never be more than a friend because he never wants to lose her but fear grips him and is forced to declare his love for her. Little did he know that she is very much in love with him too.
When I started reading the first book in this series I wanted to scream out of frustration. I felt like jumping into the pages and hitting them both on their heads screaming at them... OPEN YOUR EYES AND GO FOR IT!!! Dramatic I know but they were perfect for each other. They just didn’t want to face it or chance ruining what they had. My heart broke every time Ryan went on a date to ...”slay" his needs but then... He is a man! Need I say more?

The Future of Our Past....
The second book brought so many tears to my eyes. I cried uncontrollably and felt like my own heart was breaking. I cried ugly tears and dared not wear mascara. The beauty of their love for one another was so heartfelt. Their love is something that only we can dream of. The lucky few that experience it... well I am in awe of those.

Don’t Forget To Remember Me....
The third book... well if I thought I cried in book 2... that had nothing on this book. OMG!!! What they go through in this book is nothing short of a miracle. It’s all consuming and pulls you in like a moth to a flame. I struggled getting up for work because I couldn’t put it down. Therefore not getting enough sleep. Make sure you read this when you don’t need to work the next day! You will laugh without a doubt especially with Aaron (Ryan’s brother) and his girlfriend Jenna. They are so hilarious. Witty and sassy!

A Love Like This....
The last and final book has to be recognised as the beginning of their forever.... so beautiful. The trial and tribulations and the sacrifices that were made, had me tied up in knots. Once again tears were free falling. The romance, the twists and turns were so beautiful. Please take the time to read these books without interruptions.

I rate this book 5 out of 5.

Kahlen Aymes has yet again written from the heart and given her readers a true love story. The style of writing is breathtakingly stunning. The poems... the references... the picture painted about Paris.. I felt like I was seeing it with my own eyes. I loved that there was a duel P.O.V and that all the characters had their own personality. It was funny, sassy, heart-breaking, frustrating and so so beautiful. Thank you Kahlen! Never stop writing!

The story itself could have been 5 stars, but. . .

I really struggled with rating this box set. The story itself is 5 star, with vivid descriptions that can make the reader feel they're right there. This is a love story about two people who love each other very deeply and desperately, so much so that at times it was almost unrealistic, but yet so beautiful. In addition, the secondary characters play an integral part and are very likeable as well.

The reason for my struggle with the rating, however, is that this is very long (usually not a negative for me) and frustrating at times because it took so long for Julia and Ryan to become a couple. They became best friends right from the time they first met and didn't want to jeopardize that relationship. I get that, but for them to pass up a chance for a real, loving couple relationship for as long as they did just seemed too over the top IMO. Even once they finally were together, there was always one obstacle after another and it started to become repetitive, especially in books 2 and 3. That's when I started to skim a bit, thinking this might just be an average 3 star read ... that is until book 4, which really cranked up the angst several levels, and then I couldn't put it down.

Some readers may find parts of this a bit tedious, as I did, but I still believe it's a good read despite the negatives. With its wonderful conclusion and beautiful bonus chapter at the end, I'm glad I didn't give up.

Emotional and a page turner but somewhat repetitive.

The story is very touching. It's about two best friends who met in college2nd semester of freshman year and have been inseparable since - to a point where it pains them to be apart. They struggled throughout the first book with their feelings and whether or not to reveal it to each other. All that hurt but for naught! I feel like strangling them as I read their internal struggles... argghh! It got too repetitive after a while.. oh, and the details about how beautiful and alluring they are to those around them. ::roll eyes:: We got it!

The second book is better in that they are finally open with each other about their feelings but too much sappy-ness for me. How they love each other and cannot live on without one another. That was the "line" that was put on repeat throughout this book. It ends on a cliffhanger again with another problem that would tear them apart. The last book presented yet another problem that really test their faith in their relationship but we can finally rest knowing that they had a HEA. It's a page turner, I won't deny that but maybe more on what they experienced together that made them such close friends and less on their inner turmoil. H and h's families/friends sound like wonderful people who I would like to meet.

I love friends to lovers trope but this one dragged on a bit. Lost a lot of sleep trying to get to the bottom of this... haha...I took off another star off for numerous grammatical errors I found.

BEAUTIFUL ROMANCE

This book is simply outstanding. I would love to own it; either paper or hardback. It is definitely a keeper. The only problem is it is a series and is quite lengthy; however you can read it free on KU. A beautiful love story from college through adulthood. Not easy to put down since you never know from one page to the next how the issues will be resolved.

Just amazing

I read this from morning til 3am. I can’t believe how hooked I was. This book really touched me and I loved each character for all their flaws and love. It was relatable, endearing, and heartbreaking also consuming. I kept wanting to know what happens next but regret that it’s come to the end. I adored each relationship from Ryan and Julia, the brothers, and friends. Each storyline was touching and addictive.

This is an engaging, emotional roller coaster. The prequel and book 1 do a lot to establish the characters and provide the foundation for books 2 and 3. Leave yourself some time because it's likely you will want to KEEP READING after the first story. I have loved all of the books I've read by Kahlen, and I eagerly await new work!!!

Good Trilogy!

In the end, I enjoyed this trilogy! I found myself unable to put the book down even though there were many times that I was frustrated with the storyline’s repetitiveness. I’m glad I persevered :)

Don’t forget to remember me

This series of books is just so much of everything. Friendships, love, lust, heartbreak, angst, it’s just a high rollercoaster of emotions throughout. You go through the tormented journey of Ryan and Julia. Wonderful characters both so caring and full of love, but they just can’t tell one another, timing and circumstances just constantly getting in the way. I just couldn’t put this down, I just had to know what would happen next, some of which broke my heart. The poetry written throughout it just beautiful. This is such an epic read.

This was truly an amazing story. Ryan and Julie's story really takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. I loved every second of it. In the third book though, I really thought Ryan needed to get his head out of his butt and see what Jane was doing to his marriage. There was a lot of things he could have done differently. But in the end it all worked out, so it was great. :-)
